Bluetooth headset issue - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I'm having problems with the controls on my bluetooth headset(Jaybird Bluebuds) connected to my M8(stock).
The headphones have an inline remote with three buttons- one for volume up, one for down, and in the middle one for play/pause. The middle button is activating some redial command when all that it should be doing is play/pause. I was able to find reports of similar issues via the google which suggested several different applications which were suppose to fix this but none of them were able to fix the problem for me. They sort-of help by making it so the first few times I hit play/pause it works but then later on I get a little voice saying redial several times in rapid succession as if it is just getting queued up.
To be clear, this is just on a single press completely different from the long-press that activates the voice command thingy.
It was mostly working as desired a while ago, occasionally it would mess up but I attributed that to me not hitting the button right. Lately it has gotten unbearable. It has been especially difficult to try and narrow down this problem as it seems to be random as to whether it decides to play/pause my music properly or try to redial. Since I am constantly using my M8 as a podcast/audiobook player I really need to get this fixed, and if I need to do any rooting or custom rom stuff to get it to work how I need it to I'm willing, but I need to be pointed in the right direction.

Buttonless (MS) Voice Command?

So, here's my situation:
After I go to the gym, I like to go to the hot tub. That's simple. What I do is put my Mogul in my backpack and play music through my HT820 Motorola headphones. Also easy. Problem is: I have shuffle through my WHOLE collection of music on my storage card to get anywhere, which can take minutes sometimes. Enter MSVC.
This seemed like the best thing for my needs, the only problem is that it requires hitting the blasted Voice Command button on the phone in order for it to do anything. Which, in my case, is not exactly possible (As the steam would probably degrade/destroy my phone). So, I was wondering whether or not it was possible to assign the Voice Command button to the right "M" button on the headphones. Unfortunately, after pairing the devices on the offchance that that button showed up under the "buttons" menu, I realized it wasn't going to be quite that easy. So... In summation... Is this possible at all, or is there some other means of accomplishing it?
Bumpity bump bump, as I could really use some help on this.
Did you want someone to read through the posts on assigning buttons for you and retype the answers here? I have some time next Thursday and can do that for you.
are you sure you are using your headset right , I have a sony ericsson hbh 970 stereo headset, and that has a button on it, that activates VC for me ! maybe you need to press and hold something.

Don't worry about it.

Repeating keys

Starting a couple of days ago, the hardware keyboard on my Fuze started randomly repeating keys: I'll be typing along and suddenly a character will insert itself a number of times. It seems to happen once every 30-50 keystrokes on average.
I'd write it off as a busted keyboard and take it back to the store for an exchange, but it doesn't feel like a hardware issue. For one thing, whatever key it is always repeats 6, 7, or 8 times. Keyswitch bounces in my experience generally insert fewer spurious characters than that. For another thing, there's no pattern that I can discern to which keys repeat; a hardware problem usually affects one particular key or key grouping.
What I'm seeing looks more like the key release event is being delayed until after the long-press repeat processing takes over; then the release event fires within a fairly narrow timing window. If I watch the screen as I'm typing, I see exactly what I would see if I held the key down: I get one character, then after a short pause, I get 5-7 more of them. This started happening about the time I installed AE Buttons Plus; however, I've uninstalled that and the problem persists. (However, uninstalling often doesn't undo all the registry changes that were made, so AEBP could still be the culprit, I suppose.)
I'm probably going to hard reset tomorrow when I have some free time so I can play around some more with the GPS starting from a clean slate, and that will give me a chance to test whether AEBP is, in fact, responsible. In the meantime, does this sound at all familiar to anyone? Any suggestions for what I might look at in the registry?
A quick update on this: I have verified that AE Buttons Plus is, in fact, responsible for the repeating keys. I set the new key that was added for the PTT button to "Do not touch" in AEBP and soft reset. I have had no repeating keys since then.
I have emailed the author, describing the problem, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I'm hoping that he can either fix AEBP or suggest some workaround to prevent the repeating keys. The short_PTT.lnk/long_PTT.lnk solution recently presented here works fine, but it only gives two assignments, while AEBP can do three (or four, if you can live with the Home button doing the same thing as the single-press PTT button).
If I hear anything encouraging, I'll post again. Otherwise, people should use the shortcut approach for remapping the PTT button.

Touchphones: How to best prevent your ear touching the phone when talking ?

i'm quite sure this is a very common annoyance people have with touch phones.
80% of the time, when i answer a call and talk, once the call is finished i have a program opened/opening; due to my ear touching the display and doing things unknowingly to me.
especially with win6 or w.65, since the start menu button is on the top, it tends to be where the top of my ear touches and ends up opening programs (in wm6.5) in the start menu.
HOW can i easily prevent this? why has microsoft not resolved this design issue?
On my case 95% of the answered/maked calls are connected to my bluetooth
Also you can push the off button.
Cheers,
Yep, pushing the power button to turn the screen off will solve your problems. I use S2U2 which also has a feature to automatically switch off the screen.
As stated by the above poster S2U2 works as well as other applications that could be found by searching on google for "freeware applications wm".... hope that helps you

[Q] Hardware buttons went crazy!

Hello!
I'm experiencing some problems with my o2 Touch Pro.
Hardware buttons on the bottom of the phone (d-pad, home, back, call, end call) are not working properly (they work fine only 20% of the time, it's random i guess).
When i press "call" button, device responds as if i pressed the "left" button. It's very annoying. The circle used to zoom in, and out around the "enter" button is problematic as well. It zooms - but but in a very chatoic way - a bit of of zoom in, then zoom out, another zoom in. Functions are just messed up.
Another time, it's all working...
How can i fix it? Is it a hardware problem?
I'm using the Energy Rom - titanium version.
Thanks for your help in advance...
Honestly, if you can't deal with it, get another device. Either that or stick with the stock ROM, less problematic (you can also keep the full function of the d-pad) but then again it may introduce other issues. Someone mentioned this being more a hardware than a software issue. Since I cannot reproduce this on my at&t Fuze, that is all I can suggest on my end.
I get some of that with my fuze; mostly, the d-pad doesn't read gestures properly. If I run compact heaps (from sk tools) periodically, it helps. Soft resetting obviously helps as well. I think it's more of a hardware issue. My problems have definitely gotten worse over time. You can also check out this tool (from an HTC test rom dump; can't remember where I got it). It's a debugger for the d-pad. At least you can see how accurately the button presses and gestures work.
Thanks.

Bluetooth issues with a MK 7 2013 VW Golf

Hello there, not sure if this is the correct place for this but here goes!
I recently got a 2013 VW Golf. It features a nice stereo system that I would really like to get working properly with my phone.
The "phone" part of the system works. I can see my contacts, read my messages etc but the issues I face are to do with the media playback.
The music plays but I cannot skip tracks. Also if I try to pause the track it keeps playing in the background if that makes sense?
I have tried other phones in my car including but not limited to an Iphone 5,6,7 and plus versions there of, a galaxy s7 and a htc m8.
I have also tried my phone in other cars and all seems to work fine.
Is there anything I can do to get this to play properly together?
Thank you for your time.
Have the similar issue in my 2016 Navara i cant skip or pause unless i mash the button(if i mash next track it will still skip a song for everytime i pressed it so my work around is press next track and mash the play button so it only skips one song).. the phone is receiving the command because it will do the commands after the song finishes or if i press any button on the phone eg. Listening to a song and i press next track in my ute then press pause on my phone it will at that point skip the song.. weird issue. Again it works on every other device i have just fine.
