aye guys,
My sis took my 1+1 for hers Goa Trip(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goa)
She dropped my phone in sea water and phone got dead on 3rd of march, 2016.
Gave it to Service Center and they told me it is dead mobo and they will replace the mobo for Rs.17000 INR.
I, However disassembled it on reaching home.
There were white corrosion marks everywhere.
So, I am confused if I buy a broken Second Hand 1+1 and use its mobo to replace mine
THEN
if i replace the mobo and touch/display results dead in state then it will loss for me.
Btw, my phone is open till now and i am sun bathing it for weeks in open state.
I will today re assemble the phone and try to boot it.
Please help me guys and tell me should I buy a broken Second Hand 1+1 (Rs.5000 INR aprox)
or
buy a working Second Hand 1+1 (Rs.9000-10000 INR aprox)
I have attached the pics of mobo and body with white marks of corrosion.

Only you can answer to that question. To me it's better to buy another phone (new or used your call) and keep the old parts just in case.
Good luck!

New from authorized service center will cost u 3,500rs. U may try @ Manish market in Mumbai. U will surely get the LCD. But not sure if it will be original. Motorola service center gives u one month warranty for it.

but i cant find any tutorial how to replace it
Its a link for US ebay so did u got it imported??
i just bought it from there.. some of sellers ship product overseas..
It's pretty easy to disassemble, if you've repaired other phones.
From the back, holding it with the speaker grille down you have:
Top left rubber cap hiding one screw.
Top right under 8.0 xenon sticker one screw.
Middle over battery two screws, not hidden.
Bottom left and right, under speaker grille another two.
Now simply spread the blue from the chrome with a PLASTIC breaker.
You often get them free with new screens.
After that, there's ribbon cables and some sticky tape that need to be extremely carefully removed, especially the micro antennas.
A new touch/digitizer from ebay should include the chrome frame!
Very important, as they're glued and not double sided taped like other phones.
LCD is separate from the digitizer, and if that's broken you need to buy two parts obviosly.
My phone recently received a direct impact on the screen.. I tink the lcd screen got destroyed!
The gorilla glass stood up to the impact. But the display beneath the glass turned black and only showed streaks of white light when turned on.. everything else's still working find though! e.g. multitouch, launching apps, etc.. can even answer phone call cause it's just a swipe..
is this a spoiled LCD screen of my phone as OP mentioned?
Hi I bought this faulty phone ... HTC sensation.. I'm looking behind the battery and the water sensor sticker is gone.. It's still under warranty but I don't want to send it in for repair and it turns out to be water damaged .. Their prices kill.. Even if I don't want to fix it theyll ccharge 35$ just for diagnosis .. So I'm just wondering if someone knows how to check if it's water damaged without the sticker behind the battery.. I just want to make sure it isn't before I send it in.. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

I didn't even knew they put such things on phone. I just popped my battery but can't see anything there that it could be. What would it look like ?
The past phones, that either my children or I have dropped in water or put through the washing machine, have always had water visible under the screen.
It looks like a white sticker, nothing special. As far as I know, every phone should have 3 in total. On the battery (close to the connections), under the battery (right below the battery connector and its a circle here) and there should be one inside the actual phone, close to a flex cable or something.
LOL,
Well you live and learn.
I played with the white sticker on the battery and made it go pink, just to see what'd happen ;-))
Thanks useful info, just in case.
yeah, they turn red/pink when get wet, dont try that at home because you will void your waranty. Use a old phone if you are interested, I know I lost my warranty ages ago on my K800i.
Hi Guys,
Yesterday i was walking on the street and my phone slipped out of my hand fell in the ground... The glass got smashed in one of the corners and i would like to get it replaced.
Could you tell me of a retailer where i could buy a replacement with good quality and reasonably priced? And can i buy just the glass or do i have to buy the LCD too?
Thanks in advance
You need the screen and frame since its fused together, something like this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Touch-Digiti...cement_Parts_Tools&hash=item20e38dc59b&_uhb=1
Edit: that should be one piece, seems you have to bond the frame and screen? No clue, do some more research.
I noticed the glass back of my Z3 had come loose in the lower left corner. Nothing major but it would have meant it was no longer waterproof, so I decided to send it off to Sony to fix it.
A few days later I got an email saying I had a quotation waiting, so I logged in and was shocked to see that they were quoting me £125 because "The display of your device is damaged. To solve the problem, the display must be replaced."
I emailed them to say there was nothing wrong with the display when I sent it off and they told me that my handset was "bent". I asked for proof, expecting it to have been badly damaged in transit and the sent me the attached image.
I cannot see any bend, and even so why would the display need replacing?
Can anyone please give me some advice as to what I should do next to get this resolved?
Thanks in advance...

Put something with a straight edge against the side of the phone in the photo, its bent buddy. The screen may have the same slight bend and thats why Sony want to replace it.
I once had my bent z1 repaired under warranty, funnily enough all the repair sheet said was that the bottom speaker had been replaced. Go figure, but it wasnt bent when I got it back.

Hey guys,
So about 2 weeks after giving my mum my hand-me-down OnePlus One, she decides to let a sugary drink spill all over it. Apparently, she didn't even realise for a good 10-20 minutes either.
Obviously, we put it in rice and left it for around 4 days. even put it in the sun to quicken the process.
The phone works but the display has some weird effects going on towards the bottom of the screen. (See Images)
Is there any way I can get rid of this or should I send it off for repair? also how much would that cost?
It depends what's broken... If the glass is broke ... It won't cost much. But your case I fear touch panel is broken, maybe 5-8k INR( I hope you're Indian because you have rice at home ) would be the cost.
Here is an official list of prices from OnePlus

The glass isn't broken, though it does have deep scratches in the glass. The touch panel works fine, it boots nothing is wrong with the device only those weird blotches on the display.
I just sent a repair request to oneplus, lets see the cost ay.
I'm English and like rice
Its screen is not broken , its jst water particals which obstacles reflaction from LED , if it is ok for you then it will not hurt your device and does not need any replacement, i have mi redmi 2 with same spots using since 1 year no problem.
