I received my LG G5 today that I pre-ordered from Verizon and when I try to enter in my info and IMEI on the website for the pre-order promotion, it says the IMEI is invalid. Is it because the phone launches tomorrow or the website just isn't ready? Is anyone else having the problem?
My rep at Verizon said it won't be live until 4/1. Just hang tight. As long as you preordered you're good to go.

Mine just went through normally. I contacted LG earlier today and they said there was a known problem with Verizon submissions, but they were working on it. They were right, and it's all good now..
How about AT&T mine still won't work?
I'm on AT&T here. It still doesn't work.
I'm with AT&T. I preordered two G5 phones on my account on different dates. The IMEI for the second phone worked perfectly but the IMEI for the first phone still isn't working. I've been trying for 11 days. AT&T customer service insists that the problem is on LG's end. I'm still within buyers remorse but in order to exchange the phone for one with a hopefully better IMEI for LG systems, I'd have to pay a $35 restocking fee to AT&T. This entire situation stinks. Someone at one of these companies needs to fix this!
LG told me it's AT&T's end of the problem. We're going in circles!!!
Here's the response I got after E-mailing the support team:
Dear ****,
The website is experiencing extremely high volume due to this being the first week of the promotion. The site is overloaded at the moment. Please retry your submission at various different times until it is accepted. If you're using your phone, try a computer, switch browsers, try a faster speed. Just keep trying. Also make sure to enter the IMEI number without any dashes or spaces.

I was finally able to submit for the promotion. I got a confirmation message, tracking of the order and the confirmation E-Mail.
Worked After a Few Tries
I got my phone 2 days ago. It is Verizon. It took a few attempts, but the web site finally took the order and I got an email saying that they had received my application for the battery, etc. They don't make it easy, that's for sure.
I've been trying since the 11th. "Error occurred during processing. Re-try later." Errors for DAYS.
Mine worked just says under status "Submitted" since the 1st

It has now been 14 calendar days and the online status still simply reads "Submitted". I have called twice and the promo customer service folks simply apologize several times per call and tell me I will be advised "in one or two more days". In the last call, the rep blamed it on Verizon saying that they, too, want to be involved in qualifying buyers to get the promo and that LG has no control over how long Verizon takes.

Has anyone gotten an approval for the CAM 360 promo for an LG G5 that they purchased online?
A couple T-Mobile reps swore to me that online purchases qualify for the rebate, but step 1 of how to submit online says:
"You will need your original receipt with IMEI number and original packaging with IMEI barcode"
Well T-Mobile receipts for phones purchased online do not have the IMEI number on the receipt like in store purchased do. They assured me that it would be fine but I've been screwed by T-Mobile in the past so I'm a little nervous.
I purchased mine online. I was approved for the camera. I just uploaded a picture of the box with the IMEI and a picture of my printed email receipt.
i got mine through the store and my 360 cam was just approved yesterday.
They have it still available online...wonder if I order my phone today if I can still get the cam.

If I'm not mistaken you can submit the offer until may but you need to have purchased by April 5th. I could be wrong though.

You are correct. So yesterday was the last day to purchase to receive the promo.

Pretty sure you don't need the IMEI on the receipt. My previous LG submissions went through fine and I never had the IMEI on the receipt, the IMEI just needed to be on the box/UPC label.

I submitted mine via online receipt. I was approved in less than a week.
I got approved tuesday night for mine. Crazy fast. For the 360 cam I submitted two repates i did one with my eip contract and one with the packing receipt. Not sure which one was approved. lol

As far as sending a receipt from an online order. I took a screen shot of this. It was available on My T-Mobile account. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to get my acceptance email.
My first app got denied claiming they were unable to see my receipt image, resubmitted as requested, still says pending.
Got mine approved yesterday.
Mine was approved quickly but hasn't shipped yet.
I signed up for both the battery and cam. The battery offer was approved in about 7 days while the cam was approved in about 12 days. I can't wait for the 360 cam, but it may take a while (LG said it may take up to 6 weeks!).

I received mine yesterday and have been playing with it for a while. It's a fun little toy however not sure if it is practical. After 2 days of no response I called lg. lg informed me there is a problem with their rebate system. basically they do not have anyone's information and can not send out the rebate unless we call in and give them our information. it has been 2 days since i gave them my information and still no response. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Just got off the phone with Tmobile They now said it is up to lg to send it out .After telling them the situation they agreed to credit my account. my advice is to all tmobile and make them aware of the situation and have them credit your account since they are the ones in possession of our trade in devices.

That was the point of my post. People are waiting on something that LG knows noting about. 1 LG rep admitted they messed up on their end and they have no record of anyone's trade in because the system they set up to handle the rebate functioned. Sprint is the only company that seems to have realized LG made a mistake and started handling it on their own.
No issues whatsoever here with Sprint. I upgraded in a Sprint store on 10/24/2016, and received the $200.00 credit on my account on 11/05/2016 (12 days later).

It may just be a tmobile issue. Our promo states an electronic check not a credit.

That's just patently false. The promotion was announced as a credit when Sprint officially announced they'd be carrying the phone on 10/07/2016 (see the 3rd paragraph and footnote 1). The promotion was then confirmed as a credit when Sprint officially announced the launch date of the phone on 10/21/2016 (see the 3rd paragraph and footnote 2).

That's a lie on that rep's part(maybe just misinformed), as it was even up on LG's own website prior to the V20's official launch date.
So ive been on the phone, LG says it At&ts deal, so now im on the att for like 40 minutes plus and i think it gonna be figured out. Ill edit if its not handled after the call.

Same here. T-Mobile I called weeks ago. They said 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to show up. Problem here is that I was never able to access the promotions page. It always said there were no promotions for my line. I had to do the trade in over the phone with a label the rep emailed to me.
They received that phone probably a month ago now and still nothing. I don't even have anything that shows I traded in a phone.
I would so rather have gotten a check than a credit. I had intended to use it towards my monthly lease payments. Now it will probably end up just coming off my bill and only after I call and "make" them do it.
I just signed up with Tmobile after being with Verizon for almost 16 years. I'd like to keep my Note 4 instead of trading it in. Is it possible to purchase a cheap verizon phone to trade in to tmobile get the $200 rebate?

Doesn't matter what carrier as long as it's a 4g capable phone. I turned in a sprint evo 4g and was approved. I'm on T-Mobile as well.

Since there are a lot of American and Europe threads on pre-ordered waiting rooms, I've decided to create one for us Canadians who have Koodo, Telus, Rogers, Bell, etc.
For me, I have Koodo. I ordered the Midnight Black Samsung S8 on March 31st. My delivery date says April 17th which is four days earlier than the folks down south. It will be interesting if we do get it that early.
How is everyone's order going thus far? Koodo unfortunately, does not have any tracking system, so I have to wait for an email to popped up in my inbox saying it has shipped. Not being able to check what stage it's on sucks big time.

First time pre-ordering a phone from a carrier. I usually buy it straight from the company but Koodo has a neat Tab system. Paid $700 down and the remaining $350 gets spread out over two years ($15/Month). But then again, I can pay off that $350 anytime.
Rogers phoned me yesterday to let me know the store has received my device and I can pick it up on the 17th Monday morning.

I know people on Rogers and Fido who got their calls that the phone is in and can be picked up on Monday.
I opted for Rogers' "pay now and get it early" option and it looks like mine isn't even getting shipped out until Monday. That's the first and last time I go for that option.

I have the LG X Charge that I got from Comcast on August 8. I wanted to root it but can find nothing on how to root it. I looked but found nothing that tells how to root it. I tried flashing SuperSu but couldn't find a custom recovery for this phone. While searching, I did find that this phone was released in Europe a few months ago where it's called X Power 2. Under settings / about phone / phone name it says LG-M322. Also under settings / about phone / software info it says the version of Android it's running is 7.0.
When I got the phone, I was surprised to see it wasn't loaded with crapware. Right now I mainly want to root it so I can do something about the restrictions placed on using the sd card.
Does anyone know if someone has found out how to root this phone? Is there a version of twrp or some other custom bootloader for it?

I have been searching all over for root on the x charge and honestly I can't find one. This phone is pretty new and will take some time for a developer to take notice. As this phone is only available on Xfinity and one other company not many people use I would say it could take some time.

xfinitity also does trades but i haven't tried them yet. probably offer pennies through some 3rd party ))). i just bought x charge. not sure where $1 shows up, unless it's spread out into 24 months/$0.04. taxes and fees $2.26 (monthly?). still not bad for unlimited talk txt + 100mb data. i'm not familiar with this phone. would be interested in unlocking bl and root. would be amazing if possible. not sure if there's a limit. would like another one for a clock.

I was afraid it would take a while. i used to have a ZTE phone and had to wait 6 months after I got it before a root became available. I want to root this thing mainly to get around the restrictions Marshmalow puts on using the sd card.

You're right. My mistake. About the dispute whether the phone is $180 or $1. The $1 price is a special that runs out in September. At least that's what I found at xfinity.com/mobile
It really pisses me off that the companies that sell the phones have this idea that we are too stupid to be allowed to do what we want with our phones. We shouldn't have to fight with rooting our phones. But lots of things should be but aren't. Politicians should always be honest. Relative humidity should never be over 20%. Daytime highs in summer should never be over 80. You get the idea.

It's a very good phone i'm surprised it seems faster than my e4 with same sd425, but $180+tx is too much. We should demand bl unlock code. By force. It's the only way. verizon/moto and xm/lg.

But you get billed for 3 lines right away? Can't just keep them unactivated indefinitely? I ordered 2, refused one. XM says i have 2 lines. I won't get billed if they receive one. If i could keep this phone for $1 and never activate i'd get 3.
Thought I'd switch data off activate them and not be billed for anything but activation fees. And use Sims in note 5 and 2 note 4 . See if everthing works. And then sell each for 100. I was surprised to see it available this morning maybe and got impulsive thinking I had 30 days to cancel or keep it to my benefit. Maybe I'll cancel 2 and play around with one for myself. I have a note 4 with verizon and unlimited plan. But paying 230 after 25% employee discount and if I can get it down to under 150 would be great. Thanks for the heads up

@davekaz, even if you are not using mobile data, you will be charged (for each account) for taxes, FCC charges and other sh... stuff. For example, AT&T charges $8.24 extra per account (see list below):

If you have more than one phone line, we'll charge you for the data you used on each line and reimburse you the difference based on your cancellation date.If you still owe a balance on your Device Payment Plan and you've cancelled service, you can either pay it off all at once or make the remaining monthly payments until the phone is all yours.

If you already received your phone you can request a price drop to the $0.04 they are offering. I just did this, the only downside is they claim it takes 30 days to start receiving the lower price. We shall see what my bill is next month.

I have the LG X Charge that I got from Comcast on August 8. I wanted to root it but can find nothing on how to root it. I looked but found nothing that tells how to root it. I tried flashing SuperSu but couldn't find a custom recovery for this phone. While searching, I did find that this phone was released in Europe a few months ago where it's called X Power 2. Under settings / about phone / phone name it says LG-M322. Also under settings / about phone / software info it says the version of Android it's running is 7.0.
When I got the phone, I was surprised to see it wasn't loaded with crapware. Right now I mainly want to root it so I can do something about the restrictions placed on using the sd card.
Does anyone know if someone has found out how to root this phone? Is there a version of twrp or some other custom bootloader for it?

Just wondering what restrictions to the SD card you are talking about. I haven't noticed any.
I just ordered another one. I was waiting to add my son until you could bring your own phone. I should be able to use the sim card in his phone and keep this one as a back up. It cost a whopping $2.96 after fees.

I guess no root possible ever for this phone? Does it have enough GSM bands to be useful for tmobile/att?
Anyone else being told Samsung doesn't deliver to their address? This only happens trying to buy the Z Flip. Unfreakingbelieveable.
Walked in to ATT and they had a Z Flip
I haven't had any issues with Samsung but I happened to go into an att store today and they had one in stock. Best Buys wait was until the end of March.

Did you just walk into a random ATT store or did you call around first. I'm trying to find one but I had the same problem as OP but now it is sold out
It was random. I happened to be driving by and realized they just opened. Figured I would take a shot. They happened to have one. That was in Frisco, TX!

Also, I absolutely love this phone. I have had almost every single flagship phone Samsung made since the beginning. I know it doesn't have the specs as the new Ultra, but this phone has really been fun to use. The portability of this thing tops everything.
I got lucky too. On Tuesday they were still "in stock" at Sprint. After my order, it said "Sold Out" an hour later when I thought about switching to purple. It arrived Weds.
I ordered mine from Samsung yesterday Verizon doesn't have it on their website, be here by the 23rd.
Yeah, I finally got mine ordered. Should be here Wednesday.
