All Xposed versions later than v86 work flawlessly on Huawei devices with Theme Engine enabled. Thanks to the awesome devs who have made this possible.
All credits goes to @rovo89 and @wanam

That is certainly interesting. I'll have to try it some time. How did you find out that de-odexing the files makes it possible to use Xposed?

See updated OP. No need to disable resource hooks....
That's how Xposed works on most Xperia and Samsung ROMs. Just thought to try it on ours!

it worked for me on my honor 6 android 6.0 B803
and I disabled Huawei theme engine by editing this line
ro.config.hwtheme=0
I found it in
system/emui/base/prop/local.prop
amazing...finally

So editing local.prop achieves same effect. Excellent!
And BTW did you followed my guide?

How does disabling the theme engine affect the look and feel of the UI?

yes...I followed your guide...thank you so much
on android 5.1 you can find this line in the build.prop

Icons go weird. Looks like if they are from Android Honeycomb
Installing a Custom Launcher however, fixes the issue (as you can use Icon Packs)
Other than that, everything works as expected.

it will look like this

guys after working with the phone using the xposed framework I realized that the phone is so slower and some apps crash i.e. phone manger
and the overall performance of the phone is very bad..
any idea how to fix it?
Sent from my H60-L04 using Tapatalk

Are you able to measure the performance loss somehow? For example by running some benchmarks. Or do you experience overall slowness rather than raw performance decrease?
Is it the same if you turn the theme engine back on and disable resource hooks?

That slow performance is due to deodexing but should be gone after a boot or two.
However, my phone's performance is the same as before. However, there is one app which crashes i.e. Huawei Swype but I use Google Keyboard instead.
Remember I asked you to create a backup! If there is an app crashing restore the odexed version of that app from backup (not the complete backup).
And BTW Phone Manager works for me

This should happen only on 1st boot.
However, tell if the boot time is long as it was after you first booted when deodexed.

On which firmware are you?
i am on B803 beta
Is it possible that the problem is only on MM???

Are you trying to delete those folders from TWRP or within a live system? You can't delete system files when you are already booted into the system.

My fault, I did it on a running system.
And I exactly dont understand what I have to do on this point:
2. Download the apk, uninstaller arm zip and v80-sdk23-arm zip replacing 23 in sdk23 with your Android API level.

What is ODEX and DEODEX?
Android uses application packages, or APKs as they’re normally called, to tell the operating system what app to load and execute. The framework, that contains others packages, with JARs extension, is the first part of the OS that is in /system partition and it is the first one that is loaded when the OS boots up.
Coming back to Android applications, there are two possible routes to follow, based on the fact that each app is comprised of an APK and a cache part that tells the Android Dalvik VMwhat components does the app come with.
The cache for each APK is contained separately in a .odex file, which loads into the Dalvik VM at the time of boot, thus speeding up boot times. (ODEX)
The cache for each APK is contained within the APK itself as a classes.dex file, making the boot times slower as Dalvik VM is built up. (DEODEX)
Now, ideally, most OEMs choose to opt for the first route, for two major reasons. First, it makes modifying the system apps more difficult (making the OS more stable and secure), and two, faster load times for the OS itself, since the cache is built as part of the virtual machine itself. In normal cases, where an Android firmware is odexed the .odex files for each /system APK and JAR are written into the Dalvik VM when the OS boots up. Since these .odex files contain preliminary load information about each system app, the OS knows what to expect when it’s booting up, and consequently, loads all these apps faster. Ultimately, for the user, it means that boot times are significantly sped up, and you can put your device to use much sooner. As opposed to the above, in a deodexed (custom) ROM, there is no cache information within the Dalvik VM at the time of boot, so when the system status up, it only gets to know which files to load once the /system partition APKs and JARs are actively accessed. This, in effect, will result in a much longer boot time, since each APK and JAR will be processed one by one, and you will be able to use your device long after you’ve powered it up. In real life, that’s not the case. With deodexed ROMs, only the first ever boot after clearing Dalvik-cache is slower, and all subsequent ones will be the same as any odexed ROM. This is owing to the fact that during the first boot, all cache information is written to the virtual machine anyway, and hence, it will behave as any other firmware (until you clear the Dalvik-cache once again). While an odexed firmware is faster and more secure, a deodexed one gives more modification freedom, and is the only way possible to change the look and feel of system apps.
Summary of ODEXED ROM
It's fast to open system app, has more stability and more battery life, uses less RAM than DEODEXED ROM but it's a little bit complex to customize APKs and JARs and is a little bit slower to boot up.
Summary of DEODEXED ROM
It's slower than an ODEXED ROM to open system app, has less stability and less battery life, uses badly RAM but it's a "easy" customization of APKs and JARs and is a little bit faster to boot up.

What does OT do?
1 -> Odex Framework in /system/framework/*.jar
2 -> Odex Apps in /system/app/*.apk
3 -> Odex Apps in system/priv-app/*.apk
4 -> Remove classes.dex from JARs/APKs (if emabled)

frame -> odex all framework
sysapp -> odex all system apps
all -> odex all ROM
set -> enable/disable 'Remove classes.dex'
Click to collapse
Click to collapse
Is it safe to ODEX the ROM?
I think that it is dangerous to ODEX the ROM because you are touching Android completely. With OT I made a safety way to ODEX but there us always a possibility to soft brick your device. I suggest you to use it when you are at home with a PC (and not when you are out) if something goes wrong.
Click to collapse
Is it safe to enable 'Remove classes.dex'?
No, i dangerous because if something goes wrong (for example during framework odex), there is more possibility to soft brick the device but if you have Honey Comb, Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean you must enable it if you don't want message "Android is upgrading" on every boot.. On KitKat is really dangerous because some older rom (first KitKat built) this option will soft brick at 100% your device.

Which Android versions are compatible?
Froyo (2.2.x)
Gingerbread (2.3.x)

Jell Bean (4.1.x, 4.2.x, 4.3.x)
KitKat (4.4.x)

What do I need to ODEX?:
I need only 4 things!
First, DEODEXED (or partial) ROM.
Second, custom recovery to flash OT.
Third, some free space in /system (check below).
Fourth, a working brain!

How much space do I need to ODEX?:
Framework -> 14% or more of free space in system.
System apps -> 23% or more of free space in system.
All ROM -> 31% or more of free space in system.

[APP][5.0.2][IR]LG QuickRemote for AOSP [1-13-15]

This zip installs the QuickRemote app and enables the IR blaster to work on AOSP Lollipop ROMs for the LG G3 (and G2). Not every device or rom has been tested, so flash at your own risk.
Credits go to @sefnap for the original G2 port, @RieGo for the original scripts, and @zzeneg for updating to the G3 versions.
WORKAROUND DETAILS:
The default SELinux policy for android was changed to enforcing mode in Lollipop to increase security. This restricts the functionality of some apps, so for QuickRemote to work we have to change the SELinux policy back to permissive mode until we have a better solution.
This zip installs an init.d script which runs at boot and sets the SELinux policy, as well as other permissions. It will also create the file /sdcard/QRemote.log, which records the SELinux policy at startup.
INSTRUCTIONS:
--Make a backup (or at least download the uninstall)
--Install the latest SuperSU (highly recommended)
--Wipe dalvik/cache (just in case)
--Flash zip in recovery (TWRP or PhilZ)
--Reboot--
--It may take a moment for device manufacturers to load, so be patient.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
First, make sure init.d is enabled:
-Check for /sdcard/QRemote.log. If the file isn't there, the init.d script did not run.
---Enable init.d support with this app
-If it still isn't working after enabling init.d and rebooting, verify that SELinux was set to permissive at boot in QRemote.log
---Try this app to set the SELinux policy instead. If the QuickRemote app force closes when you open it:
-Make sure QuicksetSDK is installed. It won't be in the app drawer, so check Setting->Apps->All
-Clear QuicksetSDK data, delete /sdcard/Quickset Setup, reboot
Thanks to everyone in this thread for helping figure this thing out!
Working perfect on liquid smooth rom, thanks for posting this!

Well, if it wouldn't, it wouldn't be a port, am I right?
I tried flashing it on Lollipop and using a different remote App and that didn't work either, even though the App recognized that the G3 has an IR-Blaster.
Guys, if you use a custom rom like CM12, you can make the flashable zip to work by doing the following.
First flash it normally, then grab from XDA the LGs lollipop version of QuicksetSDK, I think there should be a lollipop version, but I copied it from Android HD rom. Then replace the KitKat version with lollipop in in the System/app folder, set the correct permissions and voila it works. I have tested it on my Sony TV, it works like a charm. Good thing is that Smart Remote IR also works if interested to try.

Thanks! It works for irs but not for DDC folder is empty whereas there profiles in the app..
Regarding the zip, I deleted the whole app and all its folders and it worked, the app then installed to latest version.

Somehow it doesn't show any effect on LL Stock Rom.
Tried Fx compatible mode, still doesn't work with Stock Music App.
Edit: Works now, forgot to change SELinuxMode

No it doesn't. The new version works with kernel set to enforcing as well.

On LP you still need a permissive kernel. I'm not sure about MM, although my kernel is indeed set to permissive. I'm on Xceed so that is set to permissive.
Can someone say, what s the best configuration ? I can t find it anywhere.

Xposed modules for le1s

Hi there. Anyone using xposed on their le1s devices???? Installed xposed yesterday from le 1s official forum but I am unable to see list of modules.
Anyone trying specific modules for 1s, do share here, specifically battery related, coz I guess that's the biggest downside with the 1s

Xposed installed successfully
Dude i have installed Xposed n using gravitybox n xuimod for animations...
Install xposed installer and flashed the framework zip..it do works but only limited modules are working or u get bootloop..
Try Amplify for me its saving my battery prety well any other help needed rply me
Thanks I wanted to try amplify but currently i have underclocked my device to see battery performance, will definitely try amplify.
The problem I m facing is under downloads, there are no modules, I have to download apk, install it, and then activate it
Previously I mistakenly flashed the wrong xposed zip, can it occur because of this.

Check to see if download is enabled in the Xposed settings menu. Without it enabled you won't see anything.
If you are running an EUI rom, this is the Xposed Framework you need to flash:
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk21/arm64/xposed-v84-sdk21-arm64.zip
..and then the installer app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
If u hv flash wrong zip the module wont work u need to flash xposed-v79-sdk21-arm64..
Download is working no issue with it..try uninstaller and install xposed again but firstly uninstall all ur modules it cause bootloop i hav faced that problm

I've attached a screenshot of where you can find it.
If I disable "Enable downloads" on my phone, then the download-section will not show anything; it will just be blank.

Mostly installed Xposed for YouTube Background but Amplify and LSpeed (About to install) also enticed me.
Try project skynet before installing lspeed, compare both

i mean is there any different from the rom BETA 2?
and what abut laging? did you fix it?
Telephone works now, also timekeeping seems to work and not many lags faced yet.
Please try it on yourself, did not have much time to test every build because of my little family and work.
Every feedback is welcome!
thank you by the way to complete bulding this rom.what abt adding sony m2 stock cam app? from kitkat 4.4.4 maybe because its better than cam in v 5.1

snap is better because it uses newer drivers and open source (like the rom itself). and there is no point if you add sony camera because it is an AOSP rom, it meant to be pure android (except lineage tweaks)
Also @sgspluss , is this rom deodexed? if not, can you make it deodexed, it will make customisation easier

Thats not that easy as you think, because need to port this app to the api, but apart of this i want to stay close as possible to lineage.

Afaik there will be no odex files, if there are one i will change it in next update. To be honest, did not check it.
Very nice to see new build But unfortunately I'll have time to play with it in this or next weekend :/
@sgspluss do you know why Magisk don't work on previous builds? M2 is no longer supported by Magisk or it's just fixable in the next builds?
after a test i notice these bugs:
1- laging so much after installing opera mini and es file Explorer.
2- over heating in charging bluged and using net for 10 minute.
3- in the screen setting / style/ auto day and night. itsnot working.
4- the lightbar not working even if i enable the light settings.

the lag is much more in your bulid..light bar was working in BEAT 2.
style day and night bug was present in BETA 2..
i was test ALPHA 4 before.every thing working of the bug i say before expact the light bar.and its the most smoth version.. its lagy.. but most smother than all
About problem with magisk, we are also unable to install the magisk manager will look into it whats the reason.
About lags and bugs its strange because i am using same sources, as you can read.
If Something not working logs are helpfull otherwise it takes more time to figure out whats wrong.
What you can do about lags, install supersu from lingeage 14.1 (currently the one from lineage 15.1 and magisk are broken), go into your build.prop, search ro.config.low_ram=true, remove this line and safe build.prop, now restart your phone and test if lags are better.

and here goes my report (very early report, i will add more information)
1-) without gapps, there is some frame dropping in animations and recent apps section (with or without android go mode) but it is same as beta 2, but a bit slower than 8.0 versions. i wonder is there a huge change under the hood between two versions
2-) no lag present in bootanimation, that's unexpected
3-) front camera video works
4-) dark mode works just fine
summary: our device can't handle gapps, that's what i see here. there are minimal frame droppings. also rom is odexed sadly
Just invest some minutes about the magisk problem, seems that we are not compatible yet or never was. But you can send the developer logs, he will look into it, it has nothing to do with rom, lucky me at this point.
About the .odex files that seems to be normal, also can be found on other devices, so there i can not do anything.
Also flashed Alpha4 doesnt be smoother its just uses more animations and some more graphic things related to not using go optimization, also takes more ram, because of not using go optimization so this will be preserved also in the future.

go optimization is better for our device for sure, but this recent apps lag holds me back. but without go and using microg, rom holds up pretty good actually.
As written bevor try to remove ro.config.low_ram=true from build.prop and tell me if this problems you faced will be fixed. All other go optimizations are not changeable manually.
If this will solve the problem, will remove it for future builds, thats fixed for all.

as i said before, i am using rom with low_ram=false, and there is less lag compared to go enabled mode.
hello
Me too "low_ram=false" make my m2 less laggy
Thank you for your work
