[APP] [ROOT] [ZIP Package] Viper4Android v2.4.0.1 for LG G3 - G3 Themes and Apps

Hi guys, Viper4Android has been updated to v2.4.0.1 and I edited this zip file by adding the new apk and making it easier to install Viper4Android directly to the system.
All Original credits to this thread and The Viper Team.
I have only added in the new apk v. 2.4.0.1.
Instructions:
1. Boot into recovery.
2. Flash the attached zip.
3. Reboot to System.
4. Open Viper4Android, Grant Root access and Install the driver when asked.
(Make sure you have latest BusyBox installed)
5. Reboot once again. ENJOY
I have tested the zip on LG G3 D855. It works flawlessly. Should work with any device and any ROM.

Does it work on stock Marshmallow?
If I remember correctly, original latest version of Viper4Android only supports Lollipop.

KK, LP or MM?

Yes Viper4Android is working on MM. Already using it for almost 24 hours. No problem at all.

It works on both Lollipop and Marshmallow. I've tested it on D855 30B stock ROM and also Lollipop 21A stock ROM. Should work with any ROM, even AOSP and CM.

Great help! Does it still needs to set selinux to permisive ?

No it doesn't. The new version works with kernel set to enforcing as well.

I did as instructed, but the app is just not there. Do I have to uninstall the older one or flash it on top?

I upgraded to mm but I can't see the impulse responses, app says it's empty whereas it's there! Anybody can help me? Thx

I don't know why you can't find the app. Try deleting the previous one using Titanium if it is installed into system or just uninstall it normally. then try re flashing this zip.

Somehow it doesn't show any effect on LL Stock Rom.
Tried Fx compatible mode, still doesn't work with Stock Music App.
Edit: Works now, forgot to change SELinuxMode

On LP you still need a permissive kernel. I'm not sure about MM, although my kernel is indeed set to permissive. I'm on Xceed so that is set to permissive.

Can someone say, what s the best configuration ? I can t find it anywhere.

[APP][5.0.2][IR]LG QuickRemote for AOSP [1-13-15]

This zip installs the QuickRemote app and enables the IR blaster to work on AOSP Lollipop ROMs for the LG G3 (and G2). Not every device or rom has been tested, so flash at your own risk.
Credits go to @sefnap for the original G2 port, @RieGo for the original scripts, and @zzeneg for updating to the G3 versions.
WORKAROUND DETAILS:
The default SELinux policy for android was changed to enforcing mode in Lollipop to increase security. This restricts the functionality of some apps, so for QuickRemote to work we have to change the SELinux policy back to permissive mode until we have a better solution.
This zip installs an init.d script which runs at boot and sets the SELinux policy, as well as other permissions. It will also create the file /sdcard/QRemote.log, which records the SELinux policy at startup.
INSTRUCTIONS:
--Make a backup (or at least download the uninstall)
--Install the latest SuperSU (highly recommended)
--Wipe dalvik/cache (just in case)
--Flash zip in recovery (TWRP or PhilZ)
--Reboot--
--It may take a moment for device manufacturers to load, so be patient.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
First, make sure init.d is enabled:
-Check for /sdcard/QRemote.log. If the file isn't there, the init.d script did not run.
---Enable init.d support with this app
-If it still isn't working after enabling init.d and rebooting, verify that SELinux was set to permissive at boot in QRemote.log
---Try this app to set the SELinux policy instead. If the QuickRemote app force closes when you open it:
-Make sure QuicksetSDK is installed. It won't be in the app drawer, so check Setting->Apps->All
-Clear QuicksetSDK data, delete /sdcard/Quickset Setup, reboot
Thanks to everyone in this thread for helping figure this thing out!
Working perfect on liquid smooth rom, thanks for posting this!
Thanks so much for posting this. Not being able to use Smart IR on AOSP has been killing me. I absolutely hate my LG TV remote. Will be testing on Beanstalk this evening.
confirm working for d855 on cm11... thanks
Any chance of a working QuickCircle port for AOSP?
It's the only thing that's holding me back from installing CM11. I refuse to give up on this case since I paid so much money for it god damn it

KitKat Art, and Lollipop Art, are two different creatures. I'd think that a port of the Lollipop version of this remote from the g3 leaks should work.

Well, if it wouldn't, it wouldn't be a port, am I right?
I tried flashing it on Lollipop and using a different remote App and that didn't work either, even though the App recognized that the G3 has an IR-Blaster.
Guys, if you use a custom rom like CM12, you can make the flashable zip to work by doing the following.
First flash it normally, then grab from XDA the LGs lollipop version of QuicksetSDK, I think there should be a lollipop version, but I copied it from Android HD rom. Then replace the KitKat version with lollipop in in the System/app folder, set the correct permissions and voila it works. I have tested it on my Sony TV, it works like a charm. Good thing is that Smart Remote IR also works if interested to try.
Here's the Quickremote zip with the updated QuicksetSDK (For CM12!):

I hope you don't mind me uploading this here @zzeneg, all credits are going to you! If you want me to, I'll take it offline immediately.
I think it should work on any 5.0 AOSP-Rom.
For some reason my IR-Blaster isn't working, the app launches, but the IR-Blaster just doesn't work.

[Mod] Surround Sound [Mod]

Sprint Note 5 (SM-N920P) Surround Sound MOD
This mod was created from the new MM update which I got from @tdunham's stock deodexed rom. Please don't ask if it will work on anything else as its specifically made for the Sprint Note 5. If you would like you can post your mixer_paths.xml and mixer_gains.xmlfiles, and as free time allows I will make the necessary changes for your variant or phone.
VIPER- From my personal experience the Loud version of this mod may give you some issues such as more noise, crackling, etc. if using with Viper or other sound boosting mods and apps... I would stick to the Stock, or Medium.
This mod will activate your handset speaker to be on at the same time as the main speaker creating a surround sound type effect while watching videos, you tube, playing music, etc...
PREREQUISITES
Rooted Sprint Galaxy Note 5
DISCLAIMER
I am not responsible in any way for anything that happens to your device whether manually installing the files or flashing zip files for the surround sound mod. You do so at your own risk. I have tested this on my phone and it works great. Enjoy.
INSTALLATION
You can install this two ways your choice.
1. Download and flash the included zip using your custom recovery. To go back to stock download and flash the revert to stock zip included.
2. Download the zip. Extract the two files in the zip (mixer_paths.xml and mixer_gains.xml). In System/Etc, rename those same files with a .bak so that you will have them if you want to revert back to stock. Place the two .xml files from the zip in the same System/Etc folder, fix permissions and reboot.

I'll try to help you the best i can but if you fkashed the revert to stock zip, it replaced any modded files you installed with my mod, with the stock files.
In my experience the only time I've seen the incall reboot bug on the N5 is when you flash a modded kernel whether it be a stock modded kernel for root or a kernel with tons of options.
Im not positive ill take a look in a min, but see if @UpInTheAir has a Skyhigh kernel for your variant. He is one of the best kernel devs for the N5 and i know he has the incall reboot bug squashed for the Tmo variant.

Hello friends. As in another threads is not fully explained , I decided to make a tutorial on the steps to installing accurate of the integrated truecaler (extracted of the c-apps of COS13) in roms CM13 and CM13 based.
There are also the files and apks necessary in this thread.
- Thanks to @duminduweera for the flasheable file of this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66303581&postcount=243. Without their contribution, this would not be possible.
The steps:
1. - Install Cyanogen Account http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/cyanogenmod/cyanogen-account/cyanogen-account-1-3-8-release/cyanogen-account-1-3-8-1-3-8_r1-r1-cyanogen-c-apps-android-apk-download/ and log in.
2. Install Truecaller.apk (of the COS13) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qoegr1352ebwaje/Truecaller.apk?dl=0 and don't open.
3. Flash zip of the dialer of https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B76gXTK-ABvxTERLTGpqVGZ1MjA/view
4. Reboot and go to settings/applications and and grants permits to the new phone apk. And go to applications and roulette adjustments, default applications , select the new phone.
With these steps , it works perfectly well...

Thanks for the info. I'll upload soon again.
For Truecaller Service app whose dropbox link doesn't work use 1.23 version from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/true-s...truecaller-service-1-23-android-apk-download/
Dialer works fine in both my Latest offical RR ROM on both Yureka and Oneplus 3...
After I've tried to enable true caller for the dealer I've got an error
@sanangel, though the title states CM13 Marshmallow, have you or, to your knowledge, anyone else ever tried this with CM14.0/14.1 Nougat?
Just curious...
I'm not sure even if the Truecaller feature is part of CM14.0/14.1 Nougat.

That link is for the Truecaller v1.23 (13). It states the following:
"Min: Android 5.0 (Lollipop, API 21)"
"Target: Android 5.1 (Lollipop MR1, API 22)"
The thread title states Truecaller for CM13 which is Android 6 Marshmallow.
Are you sure that version works with CM13?
I just wanted to get some clarification.
Thanks!

I have not tried, sorry.
This is taken from CyanogeOS 13, with the closure of Cyanogen Inc we will not have CyanogeOS 14.1.
If Cyanogen make C-Apps for CM14.1 we will have truecaller with integrated marker .

*** NOTE: Please keep in mind that this was only confirmed working on the CM13 in my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 (SCH-I535/D2VZW). It should work with most (but, probably not all) devices running the CM13 ROM. ***
These are the Steps i took:
1) I Installed the "Cyanogen Account" app. Then i log into it.
2) I then i Installed the "Truecaller" app. Then i did not open it, nor did anything else, till I completed Step 5.
3) I then booted into Recovery and flashed the "Dialer" zip file. I then cleared the Dalvik Cache and rebooted the device.
4) After the bootup has completed, right away, I then went into:
I first entered the System "Settings" menu
--> Apps/Applications
--> selected the gear on the top right that placed me in the "Configure Apps" screen
--> i then selected "Default App"
--> i then selected "Phone App"
--> i then selected the blue "Phone" (which is probably the only one there to choose from)
--> then i then exited the System "Settings" menu.
5) Now you open the "Dialer" and then a "Truecaller" popup will appear. Select the "Yes" option. Then another popup will appear with an option to select the "Cyanogen" account. You will then select your email address (FYI... your email address is the username of your "Cyanogen" account). Once your email is selected, you will then proceed. Now just sit back and do nothing (as it will have your devices phone number already and will confirm it on it's own). Once you see the confirmation, you will then select the option to proceed.
CONGRATULATIONS!
You are now all set with Truecaller.
I hope my instructions are understandable.

[Guide] Viper4Android on Nougat/Oreo [TW & AOSP]

V4A on Nougat/Oreo
Before starting:
-Make sure you have TWRP!
-Viper4android doesn't seem to work on certain roms, but there should be no problem with the more popular ones and it also works on all AOSP roms.
-Always have a nandroid backup, in case something goes wrong or you just want to uninstall viper4android!
How to install?
1. Download audio_effects.conf file and with a root explorer replace the one in /system/etc
2. Uninstall or Freeze "Sound Alive" (for AOSP "MusicFX") with Titanium Backup.
3. If you have magisk, flash Viper4Android Magisk in recovery. For supersu use regular Viper4Android zip.
(When it asks to install the driver, then just wait.
If seems to be frozen just don't touch it and let it do it's job.)
Enjoy!
thanks. works as it sounds

Hi Guys,
I've tried everything and can't get the driver to load under N.
Driver shows up as "abnormal" after a reboot.
I'm using on the edge 5 rom, I was on 3/4 before and was having the same issues.
Any pointers would be awesome.

I personally haven't used arise on my s7, but I believe the procedure should be the same ( edit audioeffects.conf, freeze sound alive etc.)

If you don't have Sound Alive on your rom then just flashing the Viper4android zip should do the trick.
But if you have the annoying Sound Alive, then the procedure is exactly the same, but then flash this zip.
Works very Good on the second nougat beta !!! Thanks!
Thank you, works like a charm. Loving it !!
