OK this is probably somewhere already and I just can't find it but, i received a preused note 3 using the aicp_hltetmo_lp-8.0-NIGHTLY-20150218 rom. now I want to test out a few new roms but I have a problem it seems that every rom is now this same one. I have tried several different roms and several different ways of installing them. clockwork and other on device programs cause a fail in Odin the only way to recover from this is to use Odin to flash a new rom. No matter what rom I use in Odin it still boots to the same rom in question. Can anyone help me get off this rom?

Hi,
Don't use odin to flash a custom firmware. For further question , try asking over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help

Hi, I have been experiencing alot of glitches with my phone lately. It is to the point where it will not stay connected on kies long enough to upgrade it. The home page has continually flashed until I remove the battery, and I have lost numerous pics on my sd card. I have had enough. I am not technically savy but I will attempt anything. I have been trying to flash speedmods 2.2.1 kernal as a precaution before I flash Darkys Rom but when I select install rom from sd it proceeds but fails because it says there is no valid signature. My phone is rooted and I have downloaded all the necessary ingredients. Is Darkys rom the best for my phone. Can someone please simplify this process in english.
Thanks for your time

it sounds like you have 3e recovery on your phone, this doesn't allow flashing zips that haven't been signed by samsung.
You are on the right track with speedmod but you need to flash it using Odin the first time in order to give yourself a mofified version of the recovery screen that allows flashing unsigned zips.
As for roms, i haven't tried darkys rom for a while but it was my first one and was relatively straightforward. I'm now using a rom from www.romkitchen.org which lets you chose exactly what you want. A modem that supports 850hz frequency on Bell canada for example
I apologize in advance, since I know people have asked questions similar to this already. But I am desperate for help, as I have been trying to fix my phone for 3 days now, and have not gotten anywhere!!! so here is my story/problem.
I was trying to do an update on my samsung showcase (cspire) using kies, and during the download it was interrupted somehow. The phone was bricked. (i think) so then I found something called one-click unbrick. after that i'm able to put the phone in download or recovery mode.
So i have been trying to get factory rom back on my phone. I downloaded odin3 v1.70 and v1.82 (i have tried both of these) and i have downloaded atlas 2.2 for pit and I have tried both EH09_modem_CS.TAR.MD5 and EI20.tar.md5\EI20.tar.md5. Everytime I do this odin freezes on factoryyfs.rfs.... I have tried all the tricks I can find, different usb port, diff cable, running as admin, i even download sandboxie ( someone suggested that)... I dont know if i am doing something wrong, or if it is odin... Also, i'm not rly sure about the software i'm using... I have very little experience with this kind of stuff, but i am really determined to fix this! please forgive my ignorance! TIA!!

I've been trying to find one, you don't happen to have a link to where I can find one do you?? Also can i do this using odin, the same way I have been trying to get the stock on there?? Thanks for you help!!
ok needless to say if you're reading this you may of read my other posts and figured I'm not having a lot of luck with my tab, after getting stuck in bootloop land I've managed to reflash stock firmware, but no matter how much I try, different roots and recoveries I just cannot get root access to my tab, and all I want to do is flash a custom rom, which is frustrating as the OPS is in multiple files for flashing through ODIN, whereas Custom ROMs aren't!
so can anyone help me this time please?
NOTE: 8020 4G LTE
FIRMWARE: N8020XXBMA3_N8020EVRBMA1_N8020BVBLL1_HOME
ODIN: 3.0.7
I've tried everything and it's not having none of it!
please help !!!

I have also tried flashing with TWRP still no avail, I am getting Status 7 errors, and Signature Verification errors when trying to flash the HumberOS
My exynosabuse exploit program shows as rooted, and some programs ask for Superuser permissions, so I have no idea!!!
Hello everyone.
First of all, the questions I have :
Where can I find Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 stock rom file for ODIN?
Which recovery should be used with it?
Boxes I should tick when installing it?
Problem I'm facing :
Tab kept booting over and over and it shows start screen, so I decided to install a custom ROM.
check SlimROM forums and downloaded the 6.0.5.1 recovery and the Slim-p3100-4.4.4.build.9.1-UNOFFICIAL-20150205-2140 ROM
Flashed Recovery via ODIN, then when I tried Wipe Data/Factory Reset, tab just kept restarting as if I never tried Wiping anything.
Read all of the posts on : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/help/soft-bricked-tab-gt-p3100-t3016879
Conclusion : Before I decide whether the device is bai-bai, I should flash a Stock ROM with Pit files and re-parti (I think)
Problem : Can't find the Stock ROM file and Pit file for days now..only ones I found are outdated and links dead.
(some info on which boxes to check in ODIN and ODIN version would be helpful too, noob over here)
Tab used to run ICS.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!
Have you checked sammobile?
Only place to find it will be Samobile, tab has no active development and is ancient with "end of life " issues.
Go to Samobile find firmware, click download, go fishing and come home 12 hrs later and maybe it will be downloaded completely.
If you're lucky flash with Odin and if it works leave it alone.

Nothing worked

So I found the PIT file and the stock ROM tar file (Thanks for the tip by the way) and it still didn't work.
It's as if I hadn't done a thing in the first place!!
Stock ROM same as it is, nothing changed AT ALL..all that happened after is that Custom Recovery was removed.
So I entered Normal Recovery and Factory Reset, on doing so, it reset the Stock ROM. I rooted the tab this time and still haven't done anything else.
Tab started rebooting on its own again and soon wont stop rebooting.
All I found on the forums was that the only solution is the Stock Tar + PIT file, but that didn't have any effect at all..
Anyone could tell me how to proceed to install a custom ROM just to get rid of this faulty damn Stock one?
Thanks in advance!
Your help is really appreciated!!
Maybe you need tar.md5 file of a custom rom
Your best bet is to read through this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3016879 you may find something to guide you.

I was able to rescue mine with heimdall and the heimdall frontend.
Sorry if this has been posted before. I have successfully install a custom recovery but cant seem to find a good ROM that supports this specific device? Can anyone help? I wanted to use the cm-resurrection_remix but when I installed the one i downloaded it says my device is not supported.
You shouldn't flash roms made for other tab2 variants - it would brick your tab! Happylie you flashed the right recovery and it saved your tab.
Right I didnt flash it. Can you recommend a good ROM that is available for my device. The device is so sluggish with the stock rom even after factory reset and removing a lot of AT&T apps

there is no rom for your device, i think. google it. maybe you have luck.
I'm also looking for any usable rom apart from stock. I have an sph-p500 which is technically the same as sgh-i497 but found no roms at all. any help appreciated. all rom links are broken. I know the device is pretty old but I don't want to shred it.
