guys, please i need a way to increase the speaker volume,
nexus 5 speaker volume boost .. thank you in advance
I'd recommend finding a kernel settings app that will let you change the speaker gain and set the settings on boot so you do not have to change the setting every time you restart your phone.
Back when I used custom kernels on my Nexus 5, I downloaded FKUpdater and the paid version let me do this. It worked really well! I am unsure if the free version does it though.. Good luck finding an app that works for you!

Yea, so I use "Volume Booster for Nexus 5" app that you can get off Google Play for free, but you need a custom recovery such as TWRP to install one part of it. And as the app warns, you don't want to set the volume too high or else it will be obscenely loud!

Soft boot didn't work on some of apps that I tried.

not all them work on lollipop right now, so don't be such a jerk about it. If you have't tried them, don't comment. I have tried quick boot, rashr, they don't work at this point. yes rebooting using the adb commands in terminal works. The one linked is the first one I have tried and it worked. How about you download every app and test each one for us , and start a thread on it

yea, a custom rom. but next update itll just be the basic aosp lollipop, with that menu. so, even though it is a custom rom, its not very custom yet.
It's strange that I have the weather widget but not an actual app icon. Widget works, and opens the app but I'd rather have an icon. It's not one of the apps I can dl from the Update Center. If someone could share the apk, i'll see if that will fix the issue. Thanks.
EDIT: I've actually found the apk in /system/app. but when i try to install it, it fails. Any suggestions?

You've been very helpful francescrm, but I still couldn't get it to work. All of the folders look just like you have it, but weather app icon doesn't install, and now I lost the use of the widget too. I've changed the permission to rw-r-r, cleared cache, but nothing is helping. wish someone knew how to fix it.

Try downloading it from the LG updates app. That's where I got it from when I first booted the phone initially.

Finally I was able to fix it. Did do a re-flash of PR image and still couldn't get the weather app icon. So I used an app that creates shortcuts and result!
This simple issue makes me question my choice in this phone. surely can't be this difficult to install a stock app on a stock rom(image).

What made the gallery app that way was because I've debloated too much apps. I haven't found out what exact app I've removed to make gallery app behave like this though.
Hi there, i'm on echoerom and I just made a factory reset.
After setting up my device I noticed i can't enter the gallery app unles I give it permissions on calendar. However when i try to give it permission, there is no option for calendar to be enabled. Please help.

This samsung gallery apk is s***.. Go with Piktures apk perfect galler.. Only problem is that another samsung s*** apk camera wont let you review picture straight form camra.. And then they ask why the f*** we need to root them phones?
hi, i had exactly the same issue and the only way to make the app work again was to use an older version from a XXU1APC8 firmware. uninstall the gallery and move this apk to priv-app, set the right permissions and reboot. should work afterwards.

Just found a way to enjoy all themes with stock icon's, and no root needed!
A lot of themes are almost perfect and missing 1 thing, stock icon's!
All you need is this Galaxy care app.

1. Open the app and swipe 2 times to the left and select details.
2. Now select the themes ( all ending with appicon ) and delete them.

I still get so excited on a new OS release, although I've read my most important metric of a good OS, battery life, is worse on Nougat.
Performance mode defaults to FHD screen resolution on my update.

APN Still grayed out. But the upgrade did keep my previous edit..

Installed and everything looks good. Phone runs little bit faster and keyboard easier to use. I can edit APN and also have hotspot feature, I guess I used idonapps unlocked my phone. One problem is that there's a badge icon on the settings icon shows "1". The settings menu is totally different now and I don't know what to do to get rid of that badge icon. I thought it was from the updates but I went there and found nothing.
