What made the gallery app that way was because I've debloated too much apps. I haven't found out what exact app I've removed to make gallery app behave like this though.
Hi there, i'm on echoerom and I just made a factory reset.
After setting up my device I noticed i can't enter the gallery app unles I give it permissions on calendar. However when i try to give it permission, there is no option for calendar to be enabled. Please help.

This samsung gallery apk is s***.. Go with Piktures apk perfect galler.. Only problem is that another samsung s*** apk camera wont let you review picture straight form camra.. And then they ask why the f*** we need to root them phones?
hi, i had exactly the same issue and the only way to make the app work again was to use an older version from a XXU1APC8 firmware. uninstall the gallery and move this apk to priv-app, set the right permissions and reboot. should work afterwards.

I am having trouble installing Talk though. I get constant FC's.
If someone could try on their Note, preferably someone with Rocket ROM v21, then I can see if its the phone/ROM/user error
How did u install them?deleted the original apks and installed these?.. And just saw his site.. Looks cool.. Which all of them did work on your note?
i have tried gmail gtalk g+,seemed all ok.
used RE to install them.
I've just tried gmail and Facebook apps. Worked very nicely, just uninstalled via titanium first.

Google plus and market worked fine... Gtalk didnt work for me too:-

You say Talk works for you?
So far you are the only person with the Note who has managed to get it to work!
Did you copy Talk.apk and libtalk_jni.so to system/app and system/lib?
Di you delete the originals first?
I have tried every permutation possible but Talk just wont work! All the otehrs work fine

1.uninstall talk using titanium backup.rename libtalk_ini.so tolibtalk_ini.so.bak.
2.then copy them.

I turned on all switches in settings including start on boot & rebooted to get it working.

It's cool to be able to click a link and go right to a pop up, but I'm just pointing out Note 4 stock internet browser can be put in to pop up in a couple ways.

I missed this after having a Note 2, even though there's similar kind of a few different pop up browsers, this is straight to the pop up. Thx!

lies its the stock browser opened in multiwindow as in it dont work without the stockbrowser. the legacy version premiered on the note 2 and was completely independent of the stockbrowser

It's strange that I have the weather widget but not an actual app icon. Widget works, and opens the app but I'd rather have an icon. It's not one of the apps I can dl from the Update Center. If someone could share the apk, i'll see if that will fix the issue. Thanks.
EDIT: I've actually found the apk in /system/app. but when i try to install it, it fails. Any suggestions?

You've been very helpful francescrm, but I still couldn't get it to work. All of the folders look just like you have it, but weather app icon doesn't install, and now I lost the use of the widget too. I've changed the permission to rw-r-r, cleared cache, but nothing is helping. wish someone knew how to fix it.

Try downloading it from the LG updates app. That's where I got it from when I first booted the phone initially.

Finally I was able to fix it. Did do a re-flash of PR image and still couldn't get the weather app icon. So I used an app that creates shortcuts and result!
This simple issue makes me question my choice in this phone. surely can't be this difficult to install a stock app on a stock rom(image).
Just found a way to enjoy all themes with stock icon's, and no root needed!
A lot of themes are almost perfect and missing 1 thing, stock icon's!
All you need is this Galaxy care app.

1. Open the app and swipe 2 times to the left and select details.
2. Now select the themes ( all ending with appicon ) and delete them.

All I get is "app not installed"
