reboot menu with Android 5.0 - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
There is an app to install on Rooted Nexus 5 with Android 5.0 to have a menu to reboot phone or to boot on recovery ?
Thanks.

You obviously didn't search "reboot" in the play store before creating this thread.
good day.

Yes, but any result mention the compatibility with Android 5.0 so I prefer asking before. Thanks.

They will all still work. Google didn't change adb commands.
good day.

Quick boot isn't working for me.

Soft boot didn't work on some of apps that I tried.

If your rooted this works..

I don't see Soft reboot. Does it have it?

Hmm.. Doesn't look like it does.

not all them work on lollipop right now, so don't be such a jerk about it. If you have't tried them, don't comment. I have tried quick boot, rashr, they don't work at this point. yes rebooting using the adb commands in terminal works. The one linked is the first one I have tried and it worked. How about you download every app and test each one for us , and start a thread on it

Here is one that has a "soft reboot" but they label it as "hot reboot".

Holo Reboot works on L

Thanks for all.
Unfortunately, I would prefer something which is launched when I long press power button.
I will have to wait that Xposed will be compatible with Android 5.0 .

4.4.4 Problems With Dialer - Solution Found!

I installed 4.4.4 using the no-wipe feature with Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit.
Now my dialer is acting crazy. I click on the phone icon, then click on the dialpad icon and then I get a blank screen. See the photo. Then I go back to history and click dialer and then it shows up.
Does anyone have a solution?

I'd say factory reset, or fastboot flash the factory image.
Or maybe clear the dialer data in apps.

Wow!!! That worked!!! It worked fine in 4.4.3 but I guess it's a problem with 4.4.4? How did you know about this solution???
Thanks!!!

I don't know how you figured out that the animation settings were related to the problem, but you're a smart guy. Not many people would have thought of that solution.

I had to adjust these settings too after the update to 4.4.3, so it is a known solution already

Thanks for tip, i had this isues with CM11 on both of nexus 4 and now nexus 5. I need tap dialer icon twice to pop op numpad. In my case seting animnation speeds to 0.01x solved that issue and that ugly animations are still off as before
and here i was wishing for a new PEOPLE app..

i want the stock without rooting my phone..
Without root I don't think it's possible but you can use apps like power toggles, or if you root you can do this using gravity box without needing any costume roms

theres no way to do it on stock without root.

This app requires root for functions like reboot and wireless adb but not for torch.

If you don't want root or custom ROM, just wait for Android L. Its integrated.

Might be best to direct it to the BS thread?

So I tried to blacklist chrome from floating mode. Still opening in it. Kind of annoying now.
So I did some digging...
V39 chrome in beta had this issue.
And apparently made its way to stable build. Any ROM that supports floating windows is going to have this issue.
Two possible solutions:
Uninstall updates for chrome, or you reflashed the ROM like I did, just download Mozilla.

or
1) You must have Xposed installed
2) Install the XHaloFloatingWindow module
3) Activate it and reboot
4) When you re-open the module you'll have an option to select "Popup Behavior"
5) In Popup Behavior options, select Blacklist
6) Hit the + button at the top
7) Scroll through your apps and select Chrome
8) Hit the + button at the top again
9) Scroll through your apps and select Chrome beta
10) ...
11) Profit

I still get so excited on a new OS release, although I've read my most important metric of a good OS, battery life, is worse on Nougat.
Performance mode defaults to FHD screen resolution on my update.
How soon can we get the full ROM so that we can install our devices that are rooted?
Now the million dollar question, can it be rooted

APN Still grayed out. But the upgrade did keep my previous edit..
Thanks!
Installed and everything looks good. Phone runs little bit faster and keyboard easier to use. I can edit APN and also have hotspot feature, I guess I used idonapps unlocked my phone. One problem is that there's a badge icon on the settings icon shows "1". The settings menu is totally different now and I don't know what to do to get rid of that badge icon. I thought it was from the updates but I went there and found nothing.
