I am looking for a way to be able to display messages that come to WhatsApp on my phone onto my Nexus 7 tablet.
Seeing as you cannot have one number registered to more than one device with WhatsApp, the only way this seems possible is to use "WhatsApp Web".
I tried out "WhatsApp Web" on my Nexus 7 Tablet using Chrome Browser and as long as you request desktop site, it seems to work brilliantly.
But here is the problem: the browser must be open at all times to be able to get notifications. So is there any way or app that allows a permanent chrome tab as a running process?
Suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi all, hope you can help me out with this one!
My scenario:
One phone active with small regional carrier(basically DI4G) (1)
One phone active with Verizon (DNA) (2)
One tablet (Nexus 7 Wi-Fi only) (3)
Many devices in pocket with much confusion when anything dings)
I am looking to be able to text from either phone using my tablet, and be able to text from 1 using 2 or from 2 using 1.
My current setup is desksms on both phones using different gmail accounts and tabletsms on both phones and the tablet.
This works OK for texting from 1 on 2 or vice versa, but the tablet can only be signed into one at a time and it is difficult to switch accounts. Does anyone have any suggestions for being able to text from both phones on the tablet at the same time?
Hoping someone else has a situation like mine and can shed some SMS syncing light on this for me It think I've purchased every SMS syncing app in the play store so paid apps are not an issue. Also willing to use multiple apps if necessary.
Thanks for any ideas

Hi kyleco,
you posted the question a while ago; hopefully my reply does not come too late for you.
I have been in a somewhat similar situation and I'll share with you how I solved it. I have two private phones with separate phone numbers like you. Usually I only want to carry one mobile device (HTC One and Galaxy S2) with me but still send and receive texts from both numbers. I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 which I mostly use when I am watching TV and sometime I have my phone laying around the house and not with me.
I've been searching through the Play Store countless times until I found an App that helped me configure my devices so they operate in the way I want. I set up the mysms app(simply search for mysms in the play store) on both my phones and created two separate accounts. Then I installed the mysms app for my Galaxy Tab. Now I can sign into both accounts that I have on my smartphones and send text messages from their number.
To solve the problem with carrying two devices with me I downloaded the mysms mirror app on both phones ('mysms mirror' in the play store - free 30 days trial version available). Now I can sign into each account from both phones. The texts are sent with the phone number that I sign in with into the mirror app.
Pretty cool setup huh?
I hope my reply was helpful to you.
I'm getting frustrated with the way Chrome bookmarks are set up. Can anyone tell me how to make something a bookmark on my mobile and desktop bookmarks simultaneously? Whenever I add it to one group, it removes it from the other. I currently found a compromise by having my mobile version show the desktop bookmarks, but most of them are sites I do not access on any device other than my laptop. This is a very poor design, so I'm sure someone has figured out a workaround by now.
Try an app called "cmarks" to sync chrome bookmark both way
hope this helps.

I have a similar issue, I use bookmarks, not some mobile and some desktop bookmarks. I access all my websites on both my phone, tablet and pc.
I would like my phone and tablet to stop showing me the Mobile Bookmarks as default and instead show me the Desktop Bookmarks, because I keep and manage all my bookmarks on my desktop only. Not having to manage multiple sets of bookmarks is why I sync in the first place .
Now, I might be daft since I have not figured this out by myself, but Google has not been much help to me either.
Anyone got at tip? I run Stock JB 4.1.2 with latest Chrome browser on Samsung Galaxy S2. My tablet is an ipad with Chrome browser.
Thanks!
I just came from Android, and can't seem to find an app that I can text my contacts from the PC through my phone. Android has a few apps to do this DeskSMS and MightySMS.
Does Windows Phone have a similar app? I can't find one.

if you have a keyword with bluetooth facility then you just need to connect your phone with keyboard through bluetooth and you can start type text my contacts.
I think is referring to actually being able to send sms from a pc via internet. This is a great feature on Android and one of the only things holding me back from switching to the 1020.
Hi - When I use the web app to send SMS, every message goes out 2X. It shows up twice both in the web view of SMS and on the phone.
I don't think this used to happen, but can't remember if it's something I've seen before on my current ROM.
Is this a known issue? Has anyone else encountered it?

Same thing happening to me. Haven't figured it out yet. I wonder if it's a 3rd party messenger thing. I'm using GO SMS on my phone.

did you guys ever figure it out? This is still happening to me to this day, whether I use browser based Airdroid or the actual program on windows 8
I have a galaxy s4, custom google edition ROM, airdroid is up to date.
Are you guys using 3rd party SMS apps?

Hello all,
I am finding the stock email app on my Mate 7 to massively let down a great phone.
The issues are:
- there doesn't seem to be a way to easily manually check for mail. On other stock apps I have used, you just drag down or similar to check the server,
-The email app seems to stop checking for emails half way through the day. The only way to fix it seems to be to reset the phone, and then all the messages come flooding in.
Is there a fix for these issues? Alternatively, is the a basic email app that works well, is free and has no apps?
Thanks!
