[ROOT] Alcatel OT-991

Has,anyone else got the phone. Can it be rooted, or when will it probably be able to atleast root. And how about clockwork mod, or clockwork recovery atleast, or any other type of recovery's.
About Phone:
- model - ALCATEL ON TOUCH 991
- Firmware Version - 2.3.6 Gingerbread
- Baseband Version - 6573
- Kernel Version - 2.6.35.7

Cant boot into recovery there comes logo and stucs also when i get to factory mode my home button doesnt work i am rooted plz help

how to root Alcatel ot991
let's see what we need:
-ensure that your PC recognize your phone as Android phone !
-sp flash tool
-rooted boot image
-scatter file for sp flash
-super one click
let's start:
-start sp flash tool
-click scatter loading and put the scatter file that you downloaded,you will get an error but just hit OK
-click BOOT and put the rooted boot image file
-power off the phone,remove battery and wait 5 sec
-put back the battery and press f9 (in sp flash)in this time you need to connect your phone via usb (offline mod)
-after the yellow strip goes 100% you will receive Green circle that means everything is OK
root with super one click:
-power on the phone
-start super on click
-in the left corner hit ROOT
-after the process is complete we have root
recovery with sp flash tool:
-start the program
-click scatter loading and put the scatter file that you downloaded,you will get an error but just hit OK
-click RECOVERY and put this file into
-power off the phone,remove the battery and wait 5 sec
-put back the battery and press f9 (in sp flash)in this time you need to connect your phone via usb (offline mod)
-after the yellow strip goes 100% you will receive Green circle that mean everything is OK

hello, I rooted alcatel 991d with the help of this site* (includes link's to the files). It´s working properly.
I made a partition to use Link2SD and got a new phone

[TUT] successful OT 6030A rooting.

NOTE: THIS IS FOR ALCATEL ONE TOUCH IDOL 6030A
I did it.. wew.. I really thought at first Imma be having a very nice paper weight ..
There was a missing link regarding the rooting process for 6030A.
THE HARD KEY COMBINATION!
Here are the steps:
After running sp tool with all files loaded. as discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41305116&postcount=1
>click "download" on sp tool (phone disconnected from pc)
>power off phone
>connect phone (it will be on charging mode since it cannot be recognized)
>press power+volumeup and you should be on stock recovery (sp tool will recognize it as "unknown device" )
>hardware install wizard should come up
>install mediatek driver manually (it is found on the sp tool folder name "new usb driver" )
>after installation your phone should still be on stock recovery
>no here's the trick
>hold power button
>release power button when sp tool recognizes your device as mediatek device
>wait for the green circle
>next boot to CWM and just flash the attached file below named "Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip"
>finish flashing and WALLLLLA! YOUR OT 6030A IS NOW ROOTED

Can I please ask for a certain default file that is named hwcomposer.mt6577.so ?
I sent my phone into a boot loop and been trying to figure out how to fix it
I followed a Project Xtreme tweak from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272317
that asks me to replace that at /system/lib/hw/ but unfortunately it broke my phone.
I am rly troubled right now, I'm not rly good about this but I think making a ZIP file and flashing it on CWM will fix it hopefully

Download All Requirements
Extract Zip/Rar Files
Run the SP flash tools
In the Flash Tool, choose "File" > "Open Scatter-loading file..." and choose "MT6582_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" from the "ROM" folder.
In the Flash Tool, click the "Download". (Phone still turned off) make sure everything is checked
Before plugging your device remove battery then put it again and HOLD VOLUME UP then PLUG before unholding make sure that the SP flash tools is running in progress
The Flash Tool will detect your phone and install additional drivers, then flash the files to your phone. Wait for the processes to finish. A Green Circle will appear when the job is done.
You can now close the Flash Tool and unplug your phone.

I lost my IMEI again when flashing as firmware upgrade from stock to Mad 7.1. It all began when I had a no sim card issue and I wrongly did a "format and download" Anyway, the phone works okay on stock after manually adding IMEI. My question is
1. Can I flash IMEI after I do a fresh install of MAD 8.1 with a TWRP recovery using SN write tool? ( I'm almost sure I'll lose my IMEI even if I'm on firmware upgrade mode)
2. You suggested earlier about doing a clean install of MAD 8.1 as stock. Is there a scatter file for that in the Apollo_lite_All zip? I didn't proceed as I wanted to know if I could flash IMEI after I do flash TWRP recovery.

I do not know exactly what file it is and for which device is (in your Link)
In Apollo Lite All zip if you extract the file, inside included and the stock rom...If you extract stock rom will find "scatter" BUT ! STOCK ROM SCATTER !!
(scatter of mados 8.1 included on mados 8.1 zip if you extract this)

The stock OS my phone came with has corrupted itself. It gets to the android screen then resets. Im trying to reinstall the stock OS using SP flash tool but when I select the scatter.txt file i get "Error scatter file invalid". Im using the ROM file from Vernee's website.
Any help??

The problem maybe is in File

Don't Install file on any partition disk..Install it on C: downloads normally

Previous versions do nothing when I hit the download button after setting the scatter file.

Unfortunately doesn't support MT6797 (you can not use it anymore to backup MT67xx chipsets)
did you install VCOM drivers and android CDC drivers? So,you can try with some other tool , depending on what you want to do...
Read in OP, there are many different tools...

The official website downloads and the ones uploaded here saying "stock" full_k15tb_a-ota-1508410813 etc are OTAs and the scatter files on these don't load on SP flash tools.
Look for these file types. They have a good scatter file. You won't get the errors!

spft error 00xc0050003 is a matter of poorly installed drivers,maybe an old version SPFT etc...
the files in the OP works properly and I have used hundreds of times - by me and other users (scatter that contained in the file works fine)

Unfortunately, they didn't work for me. Which is why I replied to another persons query. The error message I got was invalid scatter file. Upon opening the scatter file in a text editor as well looked different. None of the links in the OP had a working scatter file for me. At the same tine both mad os 7.x and 8.x scatter files always worked.
I'm my opinion its more helpful to specify one SP flash version that works with one zip. Neither the Vernee Apollo Lite Pack All zip version, nor the one on the website worked for me. Windows 10, Nov update. Fresh Windows OS installs, VCom drivers etc. I've ruled out all of those along with random SP flash tool versions.
I just wanted to say, if you get an invalid scatter file error, perhaps worth trying what i suggested as well. It works well for me. Ever since my IMEI got wiped going back to stock is very often a routine, maybe not 100 times but many times.
