Rebooting when trying to factory reset - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Moto G (XT1032) reboots by itself whenever I try to factory reset through twrp. This means that I can't install ROMs etc. It suddenly happened today when I tried to go from stock KitKat to a Lollipop ROM I found here on XDA.
So any clue what it may be? Or a log is required to resolve the issue?

Moto G Reset Bug? (Custom ROMS)

Hi, I have installed many custom ROMS on my Moto G but have found an issue with them, when I perform a factory reset using the inbuilt ROM data reset it reloads to the android reset screen and flashes every 10 seconds but does nothing.
I am not new but it does un-nerve me as I don't want it to kill the memory
Any ideas why it does it and the consequences
Many Thanks and any help would be appreciated

[Q] How long should a factory reset take?

My wife's Moto G (XT1028) seemed to be having a problem this morning where it would boot, but then freeze after about a minute of use, then reboot (rinse, repeat). After trying to uninstall some apps, etc that could be causing the issue I decided to just do a factory reset. This a rooted Moto G running a stock Verizon ROM with CWM Recovery. I choose factory reset and now the phone has been stuck there for +20 minutes (at formatting /data). I reset, tried again, same thing. I don't ever recall a phone taking this long to format and wipe the data.

Wiping cache takes 10 minutes. Really. I have xt1032, converted into GPE.
I would recharge the phone, keep it on charger and then let it try to make this factory format.

[Q] Moto g 1st gen : "Unfortunately system ui has stopped " problem.

I bricked my moto g XT1033 and flashed a custom recovery (Clockworkmod) but when I started the custom recovery a wavy blurriness keeps sweeping the screen. Then I flashed cm12 nightly build and the problem was still there but a new problem started. This message : "Unfortunately, system ui has stopped" keeps popping at half a second interval. The wavy line problem stops after 5-10 mins after boot but the popup problem persists. Maybe the two problems are interrelated. I have tried factory reset, wiping cache, system and all data but to no avail. I have tried flashing cm again too. Please help !!!!

Flashed another build of cm12 after a clean wipe and it solved the problem.

Can't connect to the camera!!

Hi there,
I have a problem with my Tesco Hudl 2. It is unrooted and is running Lollipop 5.0. When I open the camera, it displays 'Camera error, Can't connect to the camera' This problem has been around when I was on the latest kitkat update also. I have tried numerous other camera apps and they also fail to connect to the camera. I took my Hudl to Tesco and they told my that I would have to do a full reset by going into Settings - Backup & Reset - Factory data reset. They told me that it should reset everything and should return back to Kitkat 4.4.2 and all as it was when I bought it. They said it should work after this process but when I reset, it only removed my data aqnd that was it! It was still on lollipop and the problem still occurs. I have tried going into the system recovery and resetting from there but it just does the same! Does anyone have a workaround to put the Hudl back to Kitkat. I tried to find the first Kitkat update package that I could use in the recovery but no luck. :crying:

Moto G Reboot Issue

Hi! This week my Moto G XT1045 has been rebooting itself every time I press the lock button (but this doesn't happen if i connect the phone to charge. I got this phone 3 months ago and the problem started this week. My phone Is on Official Lollipop 5.1, Bootloader unlocked, and TWRP 3.0.2-2 Installed.
I have tried data/factory reset, re-flash the stock firmware with ADB tools, and changing the ROM, but nothing.
(Also, when it reboots, I got the "No Signal" Issue, at the same time that the phone says "Error while searching for networks"
I have tried re-flashing the baseband too. And wiping cache, but NOTHING happens.
Remember: I have the bootloader unlocked, and I have NO WARRANTY from motorola. What can I do? Please help me
