Hi there,
I have a problem with my Tesco Hudl 2. It is unrooted and is running Lollipop 5.0. When I open the camera, it displays 'Camera error, Can't connect to the camera' This problem has been around when I was on the latest kitkat update also. I have tried numerous other camera apps and they also fail to connect to the camera. I took my Hudl to Tesco and they told my that I would have to do a full reset by going into Settings - Backup & Reset - Factory data reset. They told me that it should reset everything and should return back to Kitkat 4.4.2 and all as it was when I bought it. They said it should work after this process but when I reset, it only removed my data aqnd that was it! It was still on lollipop and the problem still occurs. I have tried going into the system recovery and resetting from there but it just does the same! Does anyone have a workaround to put the Hudl back to Kitkat. I tried to find the first Kitkat update package that I could use in the recovery but no luck. :crying:

I had the 'Can't Establish a reliable connection to the server' issue on my Xperia SP [C5302, Android 4.3, Build - 12.1.A.1.205, and rooted, of course]. So, I tried factory reset and it didn't work until I installed Lucky Patcher and reset the hosts file to original state. Now, Google Play works.
But there's another problem. On the first boot after reset, wifi worked fine. But ever since I rebooted it, wifi has stopped working. The wifi slider is kinda unresponsive (have a look at the screenshots I've attached).
Does anyone have any solution?
Restored using recovery. Problem solved.
Okay, after trying many different things in vain, finally restored my phone using an old backup I had. Done!
Same issue with any JB rom used with multirom as secondary rom. Searching for resolution please...
Hi All,
I did an upgrade to 5.1 (LMY47I) on my Nexus 5 and started facing some strange issues and have no clue on how to resolve them. Before the upgrade I had the following config:
Recovery: TWRP
Root status: Rooted
ROM: Stock 5.0 LRX22C
I used following method for the upgrade: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...e-update-rooted-device-to-5-1-lmy47d-t3050789
It was successful but post that I came across few issues as below:
1. Power button functionality was erratic. Sometimes it would lock my mobile but at other times it was locking and waking up my phone immediately. At times "Power Off" popup was also showing up. While I tried to figure out reason for that, trying power button multiple times, my phone rebooted and started the "Optimising Apps" sequence once again. It happened again a couple of times and so I decided to try out factory reset (since I hadn't done that after upgrading).
2. I did a factory rest from Settings. After factory reset, apps and other settings were gone but I noticed that user data in the storage was intact. I guess that also gets removed on a factory reset. Am I wrong on this one?
3. I wanted to install Cerberus as a system app and so I downloaded its zip from the website and flashed using recovery. I was surprised to see that the app wasn't showing after booting up. I tried couple of times more but got no success. So, I decided to install it from Play store and convert to system app using Link2SD. When I tried doing that, Link2SD gave me an error saying "/system: not enough storage space". I tried converting few other apps but got same error. Any thoughts on what could be going on here?
Thanks,
Anurag

1- Possibly hardware (power key) issue
2- Factory reset from Android OS *should* erase all user data.
3- Its just that, /system does not have enough free space to put more apps in there. Common issue after Lollipop. Remove some other app from /system, such as Maps, for example, to free up some more space. Be reminded that once you start messing with /system, this will (or might) cause issues with OTA updates.
So I managed to tackle (or at least figured the reason) for all the issues I was having:
1- Yes, there is some issue with the power key. ? But the other issue of optimising apps loop was because I did not do a clean install which disappeared when I did the factory reset after that.
2- After doing some reading on the Internet, I came to know that stock recovery cleans the user data but twrp doesn't by default. Since I had twrp, it just removed apps and settings but retained other data. In order to do a clean install I flashed stock LMY47I again including recovery, userdata etc. (used flash-all.bat). This removed everything from storage and made my phone as good as a new one (software wise).
3- Yes, it was the issue with storage space and was a surprise for me. Thanks for clarifying on that. Before I did a clean install, I tried removing couple of system apps and was able to install cerberus after that via recovery too. However, clean install solved everything.. ☺
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
My Moto G (XT1032) reboots by itself whenever I try to factory reset through twrp. This means that I can't install ROMs etc. It suddenly happened today when I tried to go from stock KitKat to a Lollipop ROM I found here on XDA.
So any clue what it may be? Or a log is required to resolve the issue?
Hello guys,
recently i was experimenting on my Huawei Ascend Mate 7, i was trying to root it but without result.

I had a similar problem when I messed up an update to 145. The trick was to do a hard reset vol + and -, then power. Have your rollback software on the SD and push the SD card into the slot when the phone logo appears. I got the fw back to an earlier version then upated using sw updater. This phone is a pain in the ass!!!!
You will have to look about as to the correct rollback fw for your phone dependent on your location.
Or try this thread?

Even better. Just done this myself and it works:

I have an LG G2 ( d802 - International) which has some issues with wifi and Bluetooth. On my phone mac addresses(both wifi and Bluetooth) are not showing up. It happened yesterday when I was using my phone which was running cm13, all of a sudden the wifi stopped so at first I tried to turn it off and on again, which didnt seem to work because the wifi didnt turn on (I dont really need bluetooth as of my daily life). So I rebooted my phone and the problem persisted. So i decided to factory reset with TWRP ( I normally reset once every so often to speed up my phone again , and at this point my phone was getting really slow). Which I did, but then something wired happened... The upgrading android dialog box came up after the reset and it showed ~140 apps. But normally that wouldnt happen after a reset. I didnt mind that and checked to see if the wifi worked again, yet no luck. So I went for a full format of data, which also popped up with the upgrading android. So I thought maybe it was to do with the rom, and decided to try out some other rom. So i had 2 roms on my sdcard at that time, Dorimanx-V9.7-LP and the stock lg rom. At first when i tried the Dorimanx rom it didnt work and wasnt booting right so I was not bothered to fix and I went for the stock rom which worked.. and it happened again... upgrading android dialog box. So i started researching and saw it mention that this could be a cause of bootloaders not being the right version, now i do not know a lot about bootloaders so I couldnt really do anything. I tried to update twrp with auto rec ( i got the apk thru usb from pc to phone), which worked yet still no fix.
*Seen some other threads and tried the following with no success*
Deleting the contents of : /data/misc/wifi/
Factory resetting
Details:
Lg G2 (D802)
Wifi and bluetooth not working ( No mac addresses)
Running :Stock Lollipop rom for lg
Rooted
Twrp version : 2.8
Any Help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance! :good:
