If you're not sure.can you share your invite with me..I'll share mine with you when your ready. Thanks
Think you can get a Galaxy Note3, LG G2, Nexus 5 or other 800/801 spec phone for 350 (US) dollars?
I got the Nexus 5 and the OPO is way better(faster, better camera, quality materials, great design)
It's still worth it now and will still be worth it in the next 6-9 months and beyond.
But be realistic: it might have a band to some degree or it might not. You might have to use the supposedly poor after-sales service or you might never need to.
I have a very slight yellow band at certain angles. Being in China, it would be much easier and cheaper to send it back than those overseas but I will not. It doesn't bother me.
Overall: it's a big phone. It's a high-spec phone. It's a (comparatively) low-cost phone.

OPO blows the Nexus 5 out of the water. But who knows what the Nexus 6 will bring. I suspect that, if you are a diehard Nexus/pure aosp fan, the Nexus 6 would be a better choice (if you can live with subpar battery life). But if you like CM, the OPO is the best phone available. I'd say get it, and if you don't like it, sell it and get something else. You won't have any problem selling it for what you paid, and you might actually make some profit.
Way worth it. Typing this message on it
Don't know, just got mine and the volume buttons do not work at all. Now gotta wait another few weeks I guess and hope they answer my replacement request. Really bummed. Seems like a nice phone, but I cannot even boot into recovery with the thing to check stuff out.

Honestly, its worth it for $350. But I might sell it and get he Nexus 6 depending what is the specs and price. CyanogenMod is always buggy. By the time its stable, then there is already next version of Android. I would pay $100 more for 64 GB Nexus 6
People keep complaining about the small issues here and there, but the updates keep rolling in every week or two, so I can't complain!
People say other phones are better built or designed nicer, or will just plain be faster, being released in the next few months, and they may be right too.
The point is this, to me anyway: If you want something for a great value with good build quality, and are willing to deal with a couple kinks as they continue to be worked out, then this is your phone.
If you want 100% cutting edge latest phone with 99% bug free, then wait and pay $800 for the next phone that comes out from someone else. But don't buy this expecting perfection, and then be pissy and complain about it like 25% of the people on here do
Just my opinion

This guys opinion is pretty damn spot on I might add. Also asking in a forum is this worth it is really not a great thing to do. You cant get a definitive answer in a place like this. Also if you are on the fence then leave it alone and pass on your invite to others. Some will love some will hate it but its an electronic device which can be sold easily. No real risk factor at all.
Do what you like and feel comfortable with. I personally have little yellow banding which is not a big deal and everything else works as it should...
Worth it. My Notes 1/2/3 and Nexus 5 are all collecting dust now. The OPO is a superb phone.
It's absolutely worth it. Especially for that price.

Be aware that it does have several hardware issues including the yellow stain/tint/hue in the bottom of the screen. Here are some reviews. If you think you can live with those issues the go ahead:

I wouldn't be surprised if another article comes out about OnePlus. Several articles have already been written based on customer experiences via direct mail or tip boxes. If you are confident about the OPO and the company you purchased it from, you wouldn't/shouldn't be worried

Not all devices are affected by the yellow banding. And what are the other issues you're talking about? Not a single problem with mine or my fiance's.

Agree, but if the one you get is affected Oneplus will not replace it. They will only give you a refund if the RMA is within 14 days and you have to pay return shipping.
There are quite a few of other issues like ghost touch detection, multi touch issues due to bad grounding, battery draining too fast, random WiFi connection drops, etc. Take a trip around their technical support forum.
Some of these do not affect all devices and some are supposedly going to be fixed by software ipdates . But still buying this phone right now is like playing lottery and it turns out you lose with a bad device then good luck with their customer support.
Again, I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it, I'm just saying do your research before buying and know what you are getting into and what to expect.
Oneplus had a real winner in their hands but the way they have been handling things look very shady.
Here are some links:
This guy just gave up because Oneplus never had the decency to reply back to him. To my knowledge all phones have this issue including mine which really doesn't bother me but it those how the company handled the problem.

WiFi issues, I myself don't have that issue but I have seen several post popping up about wifi disconnects:
forums.oneplus net/threads/wifi-issues-with-my-oneplus.95359/
I posted already links about the yellow band but here is another one explaining why it is not glue and in fact a hardware issue as state Oneplus:

Honestly, a lot of the 'issues' I've seen talked about are just people not knowing how to use their device, or something that is out of the control of OnePlus (Google Play Services battery drain problem).
Where are you getting this information about OnePlus not replacing devices? It simply isn't true. I've seen multiple people report that upon opening a ticket for a valid fault they've been given the option of a replacement or a refund.
Don't get me wrong, I've also seen people complain about pretty crap customer support from the company, but that isn't the only kind of experience that people are having. Talking in absolutes like that is just wrong, and isn't really very smart.

And no, it isnt a invite
Customer support; I read threads about it being horrible. Recently it has gotten SLIGHTLY better, but nothing to throw a party about.
Thats really what is stopping me from a Tuesday, pulling out my CC, and buying the phone (well besides deciding protection for it but that is neither here nor there).
Also, the "community forums" are HORRIBLE. Owners have terrible attitudes and the level of fanboys on there is just AMAZING. They might be worst than Apple fans. It is a awesome phone but like every single phone ever released, it has flaws (which one and many people can live with)
So anyways, back to customer support; How do you guys think they are doing recently?
OP has pretty much no customer service which makes sense for a startup company that sells devices barely above it's manufacturing cost. If you browse one plus forums frequently, you'll notice there are a few stories of opo owners who got their devices fixed after a long wait. There are also a few devices that have been defective but this is rare.
In regards to OS- They have issued several updates for CM11S which have fixed a few bugs and introduced some new ones. CM12S is supposed to come out sometime this month but there have been no updates from OP or CM. Either due to their legal issues between the two companies or because of OxygenOS coming out soon, they are tight lipped about all this which has left members asking for ETA.
I am currently running CM12 nightlies and am overall, very pleased with the OPO. I don't have any of the ghost touch, battery drain, or cell signal issues.
It's pretty safe to say that the OnePlus customer support is almost non-existent. I've seen a few people claiming they had a wonderful experience when dealing with them, but the overwhelming majority of people have had the opposite experience. But, I think everyone that bought this phone should have known that they were taking a risk, I certainly did. Their forums are awful, full of people who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about and it's completely out of control. My favourite way to describe it is that it's a circus of stupidity. But you won't find that here on XDA, this is a tight ship, so if you do buy one this is the place to be (it's the place to be if you have any Android device actually).

I was tempted but got the Huawei p20 pro last month. Love oneplus phones. I wish they work place a 4000 mAh battery in thier phones
I got silk white. That rose gold trim is just unbeatable to me!
I have a midnight black, but couldn't resist the red, so I bought one today.
Just ordered one today. Haven't used anytime but Google made phones since the Nexus4. What should I expect?

About the same speed as Pixels. Not as good support as Pixels, but who has better? Some nice extra features that Pixels don't have, but Pixel exclusive features would be missing. Camera is not as good, but pretty good - at least better than Pixel XL in low light imo. Hopefully some bug fixes that buggy Pixels still don't have - like the 2 Bluetooth device bug that Google hasn't fixed in years, but was fixed in at least 5.1.5 OOS, but was reintroduced in 5.1.6+. Pretty good screen but weak loudspeaker. The notch is surprisingly good - used to hate the idea of notch until I started using it, it's like free extra space that would otherwise be wasted.
Just don't order from Asia and only order directly from Oneplus. There seem to be serious quality control issues with hardware shipped to that part of the world - OP forums are littered with people complaining about hardware defects, and almost all of them have Asian usernames. Very few complaints from westerners.
I'm waiting it to be available on Amazon, but I'm really tempted to buy the midnight black and throw my G6 away...

Yep, ordered the red yesterday, should arrive tomorrow, hope i get a flawless phone
I've been using sony devices for some years but i have ordered oneplus devices before for some of my friends and always liked them, great phones for their price point.
I will miss the sony community here in xda more than i'll miss not having a sony device anyway... but i'm sure the oneplus 6 will have lots of development and mods too, that's one of the main reasons i ordered the 6, i'll never buy a phone without an unlockable bootloader and community support, it seems like oneplus did a great job on that aspect giving phones to several recognized developers here on xda :good:
I'v ordered it for my wife.
I did. Should be here tomorrow. I'll check in when it does and let y'all know....btw this is my first post on xda but I have been following and reading xda forums since way back when I had a Motorola atrix4g and all thru my Samsung stages, missed being able to unlock bootloader and root and rom and whatnot so much so here I am. Just received my RED OP6 today and it is AMAZING!
Got it today too, AWESOME phone and color. Don't like the notch that much but since i can hide it it's not a problem at all.
Phone seems flawless so far, screen seems perfect, camera and speakers too, battery life is still to soon to tell.
Already unlocked, rooted, and flashed franco kernel
Will have lots of fun flashing roms and mods for sure

Nice.
What OS version did you get? If it's 5.1.5 like mine, don't update it. Wait for 5.1.10. There were a few bugs introduced with 5.1.6+.
@nabbed Thanks for the tip, but i got mine with 5.1.8 already installed. Date on the box is 25/06/2018.
Didn't notice any bug so far, do you know what bugs are identified in 5.1.8?

There are a few. I have one that is a pain in my ass - when you connect two Bluetooth phone devices, the second one connects as "Connected (no phone)" - cannot make calls.
So, if you have a smartwatch that can make and receive calls, and you get inside your car that also has BT, the car unit will not work. Solution - disable "phone" function on the watch.
Sucks, since you can use both devices simultaneously in 5.1.5, with Samsung phones, and, I suppose, in theory.
Ordered my Red OP6 and it'll arrive tomorrow but I won't be home from a work trip for another week and a half!
I previously had a HTC Vivid and then Galaxy S4; both from AT&T but I was able to root both phones. I then went to this piece of &*!t locked LG G4. SO MANY HARDWARE ISSUES! That's the last time I buy a phone from a cell provider.
Can't wait to get my hands on this SEXY red phone and get root back!

I can't agree with that reasoning. One of the main reason you are seeing more Asians than westerners in OP forum is because OP sells a lot more devices in Asia than in the west, atleast AFAIK. Also I regularly glance through a few of those posts daily and lot of those seem to be about accidental damages or repetitive posts about known software bugs.
Very few posts actually describe legitimate problems.
Also here in India, OnePlus is exclusively sold via Amazon or OnePlus' online or offline stores. So the support is extremely good. My brother got his op5's display replaced under 5 hours when it developed a hardware issue. I too registered a complaint with Amazon based on the bug with "switching to speakers while on call" (it has since been rectified via OTA update). Amazon offered a full refund on return (after the return window was over) but I wasn't ready to let go of my Avenger's edition OP6. (they didn't have it in stock to provide a replacement).
And on the new Red edition, I kind of wish I had gotten that refund. I am such a sucker for RED. Or atleast they could have launched it a few months afterwards like they did got 5t. I could have lived with that. Atleast there is dbrand to mildly ease that longing for RED. All OP 6 colours are just so amazing in their own way but RED is the colour for me. Wish I had waited for a bit.
Maybe my next phone would be red. Fingers crossed.
Mine arrived yesterday, amazing color.
Hey fellas, so my Pixel XL just died and I am in market for a cheap android device which will run stock android. I searched a bit and fixated on this because of the following reasons:
1. It runs on stock android and under Android One project.
2. It has UFS storage, while devices like G8 Plus etc. has eMMC still.
3. The camera seems to be the best in the class.
However, I don't like the ridiculous aspect ratio, the fact that it runs on Exynos Soc and not SD, and more importantly the battery life I have read on GSMA review is below average. How much screen on time do you people normally get with this, just out of the box without rooting or anything?
Does this device have any known hardware problems or anything like that? I am choosing this over the likes of Samsung M21 or M31 etc. simply because of the abovementioned reason. Am I making a mistake? Would you recommend this device in 2020? Those who are using this from the beginning, what you like or hate about it. Also is there any successor coming for this come May, 2020?
Kindly advise.
It Has touch screen sensibility problems (90% of the devices). Works Better in Android 10 but the problem still there and it worse while it is charging

Ah thanks. I thought that was not a widely known issue. But alas! No other stock android phones available with UFS storage and camera as good it seems. So no other choice left for me other than opting for a bloody Samsung it seems.

I was also in a same dilemma but the primordial choice for this phone was Android One . I'm sick of those phones (brands) which can give a few updates for their phones . So , Motorola One Vision is a reliable phone with great display & camera , sort of speaking regarding price . there are several updates , I think for 3 years since 2019 or 5 years for security updates (look for this informations) . I agree with above post regarding display touches , it seems to be some problems but I don't use a screen protector and everything is just fine . It's not a flagship killer , easy to understand but in my opinion in same range of prices (hardware or else) Motorola is better than Samsung .

Yes, exactly! I can't even stand the Samsung skin (or any skin on top of android for that matter), that's why I chose this phone. It also has the best camera in the league, along with android one. But, if those touch problems are indeed a hardware fault, then I should stay away from it. I will use a screen protector, so I am guessing that will ensure/ enforce the problem. Has Motorola acknowledged this problem officially?

EDIT: after the Android 10 update I just got, I added a third problem.
My experience with My Moto Vision is overall it's a decent phone but with three concerns that, to me, are enough to avoid it:
1) there is a problem with the screen sensitivity. It's very inconsistent and almost unusable when charging. People say it is better with A10 but honestly it's only a little bit better. Not enough to recommend this phone now
2) the biggest problem for me is the speed of updates, especially security updates. My phone was almost 5 months behind on security updates and only last weekend got the Feb security patch - on an Android One phone! So if timely updates are important to you, look for other Android One phones.
3) after the A10 update, 2.4ghz wireless speeds are broken. I get 2mbps at most now. 5ghz is not impacted. It seems that not everyone is impacted but on the Moto forums, there are at least 4 reports so far - I am one of them. Motorola is looking into it but I am not confident this will get fixed any time soon (see bullet 2 above). I cannot express how broken this has made my phone when I am in my Wifi zone. Unusable.
If those two things are not a big deal, then I would say go ahead and pick one up.
0. Have you received the OTA update / which region are you in?
1. Is the notification delayed problem fixed?
2. Do you experience a slow charging problem?
3. Battery performance
4. Any new feature/bug
5. Any other business

It's funny you say that because I'll probably be getting the Zenfone 7 Pro. I had a Zenfone 2 and had zero issues with it. The Zenfone 7 meets all my requirements especially the full screen. But in addition a huge battery, NFC, all the 5G bands and it's US/Taiwanese so a lot more secure than the Chinese phones I've been using exclusively for the past 7 years.

I can't stand the punch hole fad, that is one of the reasons I love my NEX. Here where I live note10+ is around 700-800$ and the newest note20 ultra is around 1300$ which is crazy to pay for a phone. And it's not worth it anyway, it's almost the same as note10+. I just need a phone close to 7" display, no punch hole and 90hz+. Can't find any, closest is oneplus 7t pro, but it's basically the same as NEX.
Mate 20x 5g seems like a nice phone...

That's why I'm seriously considering the Zenfone 7. It's got everything I need including 90hz. I don't use or need wireless charging (especially with a 5000mah battery) or waterproofing. They've also committed to two years of updates which is good enough for me. One more thing (from when I had the old one) is a very active forum and good customer service unlike Vivo.

I'm not willing to pay $1,300+ for a phone and I don't like punch holes etc, even though it would sync perfectly with my Tab S6.

My experience is Padfone S, the most horrible things in the world. For hardware part, the screen dies (after 360 days of purchase) right before warranty ends (365 days). They should have timed better so that I need to change my phone after 366 days.
For software part,
The system is eating up all rams and getting unusable after android 5 updates. For other 2GB ram phones across the same period are able to at least keep 2 apps opened. Every single app need to be reloaded after switching between apps. They didn't even plan to release android 6 which they promised 2 years of software support until fury in the Taiwan forum and someone is going to sue the company. And you can guess the result, the android 6 software is also a piece of **** with countless bugs.
My iPhone 7 plus has been using for 4 years and still doing very well (smooth) in today's applications. If divides the price by the number of years it's performing, it is much cheaper than Padfone S which becomes unusable after 3 months of purchase.
F**k ASUS.

That's too bad. My girlfriend is still using my Padfone X (At&t) from 2014 on 4.4 Kitkat and it's not the greatest but it's still good for media. I also have a Google Nexus 2013 (by Asus) but the screen broke and I can't find one so it's retired now. Never had a problem with any of them or my Zenfone 2.
Most people rooted and changed the rom on the Padfone S and it performed very well I hear. If you love your iPhone so much then stick with it. Personally I could never use such a restrictive OS.
I notice my GPS google crash, cant use now..try to reinstall and nothing happend

WhatsApp shows on my lockscreen with no issues. My problem is delayed notifications which they didn't address.

0. Have you received the OTA update / which region are you in? France but like Indian version (aka International)
1. Is the notification delayed problem fixed ? Not so, i don't have this issue
2. Do you experience a slow charging problem? Seems ok here
3. Battery performance Waiting for full cycle to understand but actually seems bad
4. Any new feature/bug An huge upgrade on camera can be nice, because Vivo can easily fight againt GCam for my opinion
5. Any other business Stay safe and protect your family, it's important
