Stuck at ASUS logo

I have unlocked my bootloader using the Asus tool. I was following Step #3 from the link below. Everything went fine as I was able to boot back into stock JB and download SuperSu, apply the update and get root. I downloaded Root Checker and verified that I had root.

I then downloaded CM 10 and ASU JellyBean Hydro R1 and tried to flash each one of them. I always wipe everything before flashing and fix permissions after flashing. When I reboot, it just hangs at the ASUS boot screen. Any ideas? I have tried flashing from both CWM and TWRP with the same results.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

1st if you went to stock JB there is no way of flashing CM10, Skang JB, Blackbean and all other ICs roms.
Only thing you should be able to flash is Hydro JB or stock JB. You have to use the JB recovery from now on. I would recommand TWRP for JB.
If you have this, just follow the instructions in the HydroJB thread. After flashing the Hydro Rom you have to boot into system once. After that you can go back to recovery and flash the Hydro Update.

Thanks for the reply mikaole. I tried flashing the Hydro JB rom and even the stock JB rom from Asus's site. Hydro just stops at the Asus logo after flashing. Stock JB does the same thing, but it displays "md5 mismatch" in red underneath "device is unlocked", then stops at Asus logo. I am going to try to download the stock JB rom again from Asus and see if I just had a bad download. I will try going back to TWRP instead of CWM too. Is there a specific version of TWRP that I should use? I used the one's in step #3 of the thread I referenced in the OP. I appreciate any help or advice.

I was able to flash back to TWRP JB recovery, then download a fresh copy of the stock Asus JB rom, wipe everything, flash the rom, fix permission and reboot and this time it worked. I think the only thing I really did different this time was to fix permissions after flashing.

Hi at all, i'm writing from italy so my english is not so good
i've the same problem with my TF300t: i've update my tab to JB with OTA and then unlock the BL with asus apk. then i've rooted my tab and all works fine.
But then i've tried to mount the CM10 rom, and after the installation my tab stuck at bootlogo
i've read to try to install hydro JB or asus stock rom, but my PC now do not read the device (tf300t): so how can i install another rom if my tab can't load nothing via USB?

alredy tried, but nothing change. now i'm trying to go into APX mode to let PC read tab, but my PC doesn't intall the driver.
I've found that here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502, i hope that is the better way
EDIT: i've install APX driver but my PC won't read the tab.

Install Asus Sync. If you already have it installed, uninstall it, reboot and reinstall it.

same problem with you, and I installed dirvers you metioned successfully, but when i used wheelie commond, it said " failed to read data from blob",
maybe because i used tf201's blob, and i can't find tf300 nvflash roms, any ideas?

Did you make a nandroid backup before flashing cm10? If so, just restore from there and you should be able to sync from your pc

i have not do a nandroid backup.
why my pc doesn't read the tab when i install apx driver ? i'm workin' on W7 OS, and when i put the USB cable into my tf300t i hear a sound of connection, but the device not appear in the listview of computer.

If fastboot work , you can re-flash official stock JB ! ( put your device in fastboot mode and see if fastboot comand respond ..) ! Good luck ! :good:
to try if it work just type > fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot

now i'm trying to install HyDro JB rom after all wipe, i have downloaded it from here, put it into EX SD and then with TWRP recovery put into internal sd card. So now i can install also the stock rom if HyDro JB doesn't work!

TWRP work ever! but i haven't use an EX SD card into the tab, it's first time that i use for it.
But HyDro JB don't work, and TWRP doesn't flash the stock FW.

than you can try to flash blob files into firmware.zip directly in fastboot mode ! ...of course if fastboot command it work ...
what TWRP you use :2.2.1.5 or 2.2.2.0 ? - I use 2.2.2.0 and I can flash asus firmware JB !
...another thing ( I'm not sure 100% ) you must to unzip firmware.zip because is double zipped ! I downloaded the WW SKU.zip unzipped this archive and I get another archive .zip ! so you need to put in sdcard the second archive !
...also if fastboot work , put your device in fastboot mode and > fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash staging blob

Wait, a lot of questions
So..TWRP 2.2.1.5, the zip of stock FW is double zipped (thanks, i haven't see that).
but..what is blob files? sorry for my ignorance
i can't use fastboot mode because i can't connect my tab with the pc via usb cable. if i have understand what you says

Hi!
Just found a way to update to JB from the 1.053 version (Acer_AV043_A700_RV22RC03_EMEA_DE) on wich every other update failed for me. But runs with the other versions, too.
Unlock Bootloader
Install CWM (6.0.1.4)
Visit this german forum
get the file A700 JB Full ROM AV051_1.028.00_EMEA_DE RV09RC02.zip
flash it via CWM
DONE!
Just tested and it's working.
Credits go to those who deserve it.
I deleted CWM and a mate let it where it was and both A700 are running fine [*] (see below!)

My friend, who kept CWM, unlocked the bootloader again after the update and now has a bootloop. So my advice is to kill CWM after the update.
I don't get into recovery too (with locked bootloader) it says "recovery image verified failed". But system starts normally afterwards.

The bootloop was fixed by flashing a propriate recovery after beeing able to enter fastboot using the right key combination.
andiby left us a JB stock recovery: recovery.img and he build a CWM 6.0.1.4 with JB Kernel: recovery-a700-6014JB.img which runs fine for me.
Use the CWM with JB Kernel only to flash files and not to WIPE, FORMAT or RESTORE a backup, because there were issues with a different JB based CWM and I can't guarantee this one to work, because I have not tested it.

I'm on FR Firmware, can you tell me how should I proceed?

If you want to keep the FR firmware you will have to wait for an appropriate update file.
If you want to switch to Germen I think it should work with this method, because the zip file contains everything from bootloader to system files.

I would not recommend it, because your file is only 340 MB while the one from the thread above is nearly 400 MB.
I think you only need the file from my post, because there is everything in it fpr JB afaik, but I can give no guarantee, because I only used it to update my German version.
PS: Might it be posible to reduce the size of your signature a bit? Threads are much more difficult to read if a signature is almost always larger than a normal post. Thank you to give consideration to my request.

Yes but i can from FR Firmware to DE and install first update (5MB) and this is 1.053 => finally JB or i think wrong?

It's an update. Everything is on the tab as before.
@DakiX: all I can say is that I would not recommend using this method with any other file than the one mentioned in the first post, because this is the one I tested.

I just don't get why you want to flash anything else before the "A700 JB Full ROM AV051_1.028.00_EMEA_DE RV09RC02.zip" because it is a FULL ROM and should be flashable over ICS 1.023, ICS 1.027, ICS 1.053 and ICS 1.055 to get JB 1.028.

I disabled it, then CWM is away and the Tab as stock as possible.
A friend kept CWM and now has some issues...

Can you get into recovery mode using "adb reboot recovery"?

Nope.. failed but its understandable because CWM must be made for 4.1.1

The CWM link i posted is for jb users to have CWM. if your on ICS download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2003069 and follow instructions bro.

I installed the install>bat file but it said It is not recognized as an internal/external commandBut it said finished. I opened ROM manager and it still said it required CWM please help

Buddy...just enter recovery...you know how to enter Cwm right...then there is an option to wipe data/format. Select it to wipe data...this will reset your phone..

@fonetalker101 To boot into CWM turn off your phone then turn it back on when you see sony logo continuously press volume down button untill you enter recovery. when installing CWM make sure you are "ROOTED" and have usb debugging checked in developer settings.

Directly booting to recovery

I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

You have to flash back STOCK rom on your device now...

Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!

Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card

Open odin, be sure your system has already install drivers & if kies is there close it.
extract recovery zip
connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device
FOR ROOT :
Now boot device in CWM mod ( vol up + down + power + home)
choose zip from sd card & select Root_SGAP.zip

Just 1 more qstn...is it necessary to apply a custom recovery before rooting? If no, is it recommended?? Because the last time i rooted, it made me put a custom recovery before rooting.

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery ​

Stuck in boot loop
Got stuck in boot loop after performing the steps. I was running this ROM.
Had to reinstall the ROM. I'm sure there's something I didn't understand or something I did wrong. I'd be thankful if anyone could point it out.

Question About Flashing A Stock ROM
Hi! I had the same problem, and I flashed stock ROM! Now is all Ok, but my phone is not rooted. I want to try it again! But I am scared! What if I again stuck in CWM Boot Loop? Is it possible to that happen again?

I am also using this recovery from months i have flashed many roms and mods but it does not have any bugs.

Help! NO OS installed/Need help flashing stock ROM to soft(?)-bricked S6 SM-G290F

So yesterday i done a pretty stupid thing of restarting my phone after I hid my SU binary using hide my root. This left what i think was a soft-brick as it was stuck on the samsung animation. I then stupidly enough got confused with my TWRP recovery menu and ended up wiping out my OS, leaving only the TWRP recovery on the phone. I then decided to download a 6.1.1 stock rom for my SM-G920F. When i tried flashing however, somehow ODIN froze and i made another stupid mistake of restarting my phone from download mode which resulted in the phone being froze on a screen saying " an error has occurred while updating the device software use the emergency recovery function s6 " cant provide an image as this is my first post, but please google the error message if you wish to see it
So i panicked thinking my phone was dead completely and surrendered, but today i managed to hook it up to TWRP and flashed the recovery. Now when i bootup i can access download mode and it boots straight to recovery. To make matters worse I began trying to download the original rom i recieved when i got the phone, however when i try flashing i get errors such as " SW rev, Check Fail: 'x' binary 'y' device "
(x and y vary for each stock rom i tried flashing.)
I have no way of finding out my firmware, bootloader info or anything. Is there ANY fix to this? I've made a huge mess of everything and I'm now desperate. Please, any advice would be a god-send. Thank you for withstanding this crappy post, I'm kind of a noob at xda.
EDIT 1- So I managed to install a custom ROM and kernal as i could transfer files while in TWRP for some reason but a new problem has showed up. So as of right now I have a custom rom installed which works, but when reboot my phone, TWRP is automatically opened after the initial samsung logo. I usually have to reflash my custom ROM (without wiping any data besides cache and dalvik) and the ROM installer will then reboot into the ROM, however this means when my phone turns off, my recovery is booted up instead of the ROM
I'm sensing some sort of Bootloader problem?

First off i dont own an S6 (im still rocking the S4), but i have had some problems over the years but always managed to fix them in the end.
So while in Download mode are you not able to Flash Stock ROM (downloaded from samfirmware) via ODIN (following the instructions on the site)?
In TWRP are you not able to flash a custom ROM (probably with OTG cable if you dont have the ROM stored on the internal memory).
Any issues i have had i have always been able to do at least one of the above methods. If you cant do either or, im not sure what else i would try.

So i panicked thinking my phone was dead completely and surrendered, but today i managed to hook it up to TWRP and flashed the recovery. Now when i bootup i can access download mode and it boots straight to recovery. To make matters worse I began trying to download the original rom i recieved when i got the phone, however when i try flashing i get errors such as " SW rev, Check Fail: 'x' binary 'y' device "
(x and y vary for each stock rom i tried flashing.)
I have no way of finding out my firmware, bootloader info or anything. Is there ANY fix to this? I've made a huge mess of everything and I'm now desperate. Please, any advice would be a god-send. Thank you for withstanding this crappy post, I'm kind of a noob at xda.

If you boot in TWRP recovery it can be soved easily.
1)first try do wipe data and internal partition.And then try flashing stock firmware with odin(download proper file basing on ur model)
2)U may download a rom for ur model and flash using twrp.then if u want u can stay with the rom,i u dont u can try to flash again with odin after installing rom

Yeah i managed to install a custom rom Tyrannus v 28.1, through TWRP, however, now I am experiencing a new problem, when i reboot - my phone boots up into TWRP instead of the ROM, more information in the edit i made in the post. THanks for all the continued help

'Device not recognised' fixed it though. Flashed custom ROM with TWRP

Emergency recovery will and should help.
