[Free][Game] 120
Hello,
my name is Gianni Salvatore and i'm an Italian developer.
I wanted to present my game (I've made even more with the name Multicolor Games) but now I have changed the name to MayoApp.
The name of the game is 120. The game is really simple, perhaps there are already thousands, but I wanted to introduce him anyway. I was inspired by the style of material design (flat) to create this.
The aim of the game (like many others) is to score by pressing on the screen to blow the ball.
Here's the screenshoot:

I do not like "spam" but the Android world is so vast that you could also do a beautiful game but not be known by anyone. (maybe not in my case, but I leave it to you to judge).

120 feedback
Hi Gianni,
Nice job with this app. I like the style, which is something you Italians always do well!
Here's what I think you did right:
- I like that I could skip the Google Game / G+ login methods and the game still works.
- the game play is good
- nice colors, icon, etc.
One area to think about is the frequency of advertising. When I first get the app I'm still trying to figure out what's going on and how to play the game. My ball drops in 4 seconds and an ad shows. OK fine. But then I try again and the ball drops in 4 seconds - I'm really bad at the game still - and then another ad. I do this a few times and I end up getting 5 ads shown to me in less than 30 seconds. I'd suggest you wait maybe 1 or 2 mins, or 5 game plays, or something like that, before starting the ads. To summarize, keep advertising, but give new users a minute or two to get addicted.
Best of luck with 120!
Pretty good, nice design!

Thanks so much,
I also I realized that advertising is too frequent and invasive fact now I'm posting an update in which the advertising is displayed every 4 times. Very soon I'll post a store where you can buy different balls, you have suggestions?
Anyway,
thank you very much to all. For any suggestions, bugs, or to add other things to the game i'm here!
every 4th time
GIanni,
That sounds good. An ad every 4 times would be easy to implement and you should hopefully see longer play time as a result.

JQ Soft presents our first game - Magic Point.
Magic Point is an interesting test-game for your brain.
Test your logic, show to your friends and compare who is the best.
The goal of game is to continue certain sequence.
Version: 1.1.0
What's new in 1.1.0:
- Wakelock has added
- Russian UI has added
- Some bugs on QVGA-devices were fixed
Android Market Link
For the people who like QR codes, like me
I shall post my comments later on today.
[edit] Sorry I checked the QR code before I'd post it. But here is a link to the free version Magic Point Lite [/edit]
I love this style of game! I'm going to try this out for you ASAP.
Personally I prefer desktop market links. I can click on install on my PC and have it on my phone before I even pick it up!
Edit: I just beat all 10 levels. Needs moar challenge (or a timer to see who can finish them fastest!)
As far as presentation goes I'm giving you a 9/10. Fantastic job on the minimalist design. Gameplay could be made more interesting if you only flashed the images on screen for a second each. That would be a memory challenge as well. Still I'd give you a 8/10 in that category. Content is a little limited, I don't know if it's expended in the full version. Thanks for sharing!
Comments
I've reviewed the free version.
I agree with k4p741nkrunch.
The levels are a bit too easy. They don't become much harder during the first 10 levels.
A timer or something to compete with others would be a addition to the game.
Please enable the wakelock, so the phone doens't falls back to the lockscreen when you're not paying attention to the game.
I like the design, maybe it would be nice if the user could select the preferred color.
The game play is also good, very simple an smooth.

Yes, it doesn't work that well on QVGA(Wildfire) devices. I can press one of them, and it'll come with a toast. But if it's correct, I can't press the Next Level button(at least, i guess it tries to tell me "Next Level")
That's what I can see on my wildfire, I can't press the text, and those dots need to be a little bit higher(I discovered that is for next/previous level).
Also I'd like auto-advance to the next level when it's correct.
fifarunnerr, thanks for feedback. I will fix it soon.

you're very clever I will think about new hardest levels
We have released new version 1.1.0.
What's new:
- Wakelock has added
- Russian UI has added
- Some bugs on QVGA-devices were fixed
I got the paid version. 10 levels is too short (I imagine it'll expand). It took me about 2 minutes to finish (I got 8 of them right on the first try).
It would be awesome if in later levels it also included abstract reasoning questions beyond those dots. Spatial reasoning questions would also be great.
I Agree with Tricky-Design, custom color background would be awesome, specially if there is true black for those of us with OLED screens (SGS).
Looking forward for further updates
PS I also expected for the game to automatically forward me to the next level after I successfully complete a puzzle. It's a bit weird to have to tap the arrow.
Thanks for your suggestions We will add more levels in next version.

I could only get the Lite version, but I enjoyed it. I would also love to see harder levels as the game progresses, and I too was expecting it to advance me to the next level already, but it's a very good start to a cool game. My only suggestion would be to have a scoring system of some sort, maybe based on the amount of tries(and/or time) it takes to solve the puzzle.
I did not encounter any bugs or glitches with this game, if it helps. Played on a rooted Droid Eris running Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GSB3.5).
prsguitaruser, thanks I already think about new levels. Automatic next level will be in next version, thanks for this suggestion.
I have released new version 1.2.0:
- New 10 levels
- Auto-run of next level after a completion of previous level
Here are the latest screenshots from the game War of The Words!
One of the top ten in the Best Word Games of 2011 category at BestAppEver.com.
This word game contains hundreds of levels with increasing difficulty. As the game progress you are
constantly notified of how many points you need to beat the next player in the highscore list!
The idea is very simple, remember each word in the correct order and after they've been shuffled your
mission is to restore them in the correct order. You also need enough concentration to swat flies, ufo's and birds as
they will reward you with plenty of bonus points!

Edited first post to fit the game as it evolved too much from the original game.
Enjoy.
Cool, thanks Nice work with the new look.

I'm thinking of perhaps getting rid of the Facebook integration, anyone have any objections against that?
I think it's a nice addition, but it appears as most users simply doesn't use it.
I've also noticed that quite a few players have cleared more than 20 levels, while
some stops at level one with zero in score, I'm just wondering if the initial Facebook popup is to blame for that?
There's not too many players who have stopped playing before level 10, which should indicate that the game is at least somewhat addictive, or is it really?
Perhaps it was not a smart move to have the Facebook checkbox checked by default?
Just thinking out loud, if anyone cares to share their thoughts on this, please do
Version 1.6 is out
- You can now setup a profile before playing.
- The top panel continuously displays your progress, and how much you need to score to beat the person above you!
- As before you can still press pause to view your stats and exakt position in the score list.
Enjoy!

It came to my attention that the game crashed on resuming after the game had been
interrupted by a call or similar. FYI. I just released a quick fix for this.
Version 1.75 is out!
I hope you enjoy it.
I just released 1.76.
Been hunting for memory leaks and optimized the whole game!
I am kind of desperate for input as I've heard that in some rare cases the game fc's at startup!
If you try it, please let me know your phone model and wether you get a force close or not at startup or anywhere else..
Thank you very much!
greaaaaaat go on
Thanks for trying!
Checking the database I saw that the number of people quiting the game before having any points (perhaps due to a fc or maybe out of boredom?) lessen. But still, 1 out of 4 shows as not getting any points or reaching even level 2 which is incredibly simple.
Right, I'll leave it at that and go work on my platform game instead.
No crashes for me. Had one forced close once when my battery was about to run out of juice.
Danke
I'm happy to report that the game got nominated in the top ten at bestappever.com in the Best Word Game of 2011.. Not that I've heard of that page before, but still
Anyway if anyone of you happens to have an Xperia Arc or ZTE-Blade in their possession and would like to verify that the game runs, I would appreciate it a lot! Really, alot since I've had reports of the dreadful "bitmap size exceeds VM budget" appearing on those devices!
(Also just released a new version with a few more levels available)
Thank you!
Released yet another fix!
Version 1.79 is out. The game should run fine on most devices now.
FYI! Using the emulator and adjusting the max heap size to only 16 Mb I could reproduce the problem with FC's. It turned out not to be a memory leak after all, my game actually did use up to much resources. doh!
Cheers
1.8 is out.
- Removed Facebook integration
- Removed unused resources
- Increased quality of background images
- Increased quality of some other graphics
- Made the game instructions clearer.
- Made sure buttons don't get outside the playable area
- Now all you have to do to get more levels is to click the
ad in the bottom and install the free game or app. Your
available levels will be refilled automatically.

Congratulations to your game - it's fun! Comments:
1) The popup advertisements block the whole screen. This would not be a problem but the timer goes on when they are displayed, so you loose important time while clicking them away! Since the difficulty is extremely high, it is frustrating to loose a round just due to an advertisement popup.
2) Some boxes in the early levels seem extremely fast and thus unclickable for me. However, that's my subjective impression. Maybe this game is also much easier on tablets than on phones.

Very nice.
Beautiful game.
Just tested it, unfortunately alone, but I can say that it will be a lot of fun when I find someone else to play it with me together. Maybe some sort of AI mode for singleplayer could still be good, if you have noone nearby to play it?

I actually do have a "solo" mode in the Pro version.
It runs for 15 seconds, and there are 2 colours (yours, and the computers). A single tile randomly changes ~ every 50ms I believe I set it for. And every wrong tile results in -1 points.

[GAME][2.3+] Flat Frenzy
Information
This is a game I've been working with on my free time for a couple of months and I've just released it on Play! It's a fast paced game consisting of a chain of minigames which increase in speed as you progress. The minigames are 3-5 seconds long and have very simple goals. After three wins the speed goes up, and it gets very challenging after a while! It's heavily inspired by the WarioWare series but adapted for touchscreens and with a simplistic, flat design. There are built in Google Play Leaderboards so you can compete against your friends and the rest of the world!
The game is free on Google Play and can be downloaded here. If you want to get the latest updates before anyone else and also help me developing the game, consider joining the Flat Frenzy Alpha group on Google+. This will enable you to get the alpha builds of the game and test out new features before anyone else.
More minigames and features are planned and will be released soon. However, don't hesitate to come with your own suggestions for new minigames or features, I want all the feedback I can get! Please also report any bugs in this thread or in an email to [email protected]

New version uploaded! This version brings a new minigame called "Pound". It should be live for everyone in a few hours.
Forgot to publish the leaderboards so they only worked for alpha testers. They have been published now though and should work for everyone!
I like it. But I thinks the graphics could look better. Shinier colors for example. And the shadow doesn't match with the flat design.
I think it has good potential and it feels like one of those game which makes you keep playing for longer than you had originally planned. It gets you frustrated when you lose (in a good way). I'm looking forward to more competition from more people in the leaderboards.

Thank you! The style is supposed to be kinda flat and papery. I might change the colors a bit though and maybe make some new lighting effects.

Thank you! Yeah, I agree it has the "I know I can do better, just one more time" feel to it. The number of people on the leaderboards is slowly increasing, and they're getting better and better scores too
New version!
Lots of sounds added! Sound effects for every minigame and arcade background music. These can be toggled in the settings. Also added a "Relax" minigame which will show up every now and then. It has no objective, you simply win automatically after 4 seconds. It's used for getting a small break mid-game where you can breathe or adjust your posture or something without having to pause.
Also fixed two bugs, one where the game would crash on some devices when entering settings, and one where the game would crash when pressing home button or switching to another application.
Please tell me what you think and what you'd like to see in the future! I'm open to all suggestions
Very nice game! Reminds me of Dumb Ways to Die, but the minigames show even more variety! One bug I encountered: when I click on Leaderboards, nothing happens.

Thank you! Haven't played Dumb Ways to Die before but I tried it out now and I agree, it's the same sort of genre.
I had that leaderboard bug before on my N7 and it was really weird. I believe it's a bug in the Google Play API because everything in my code was working fine. It was like the "connect" method of the Google Play API didn't do anything, no errors either, it was just like the function instantly returned. Anyway, I fixed it by rebooting my device and then it worked again which is even stranger!
Very fun, fast paced game so need to pay attention. Quite addicting
New version!
Changelog:
- New main menu!
- Added "Stats" button which shows your stats for all minigames.
- Added new minigame "Trap".
- Added more text to "About" section.
- Added a simple tutorial first time you play.
- Added an "are you sure?" dialog when "Main menu" button is pressed in pause menu.
- Fixed "Relax" not resetting between new games.
If you try it out, please let me know what you think! I see a lot more people on the leaderboards now which is awesome!
New version!

- Enabled anti-aliasing on text.
