[urgent] phone not booting

I was trying to go back to XXPE from XXPQ to flash my phone clean again - after flashing latona to my phone, it doesnt boot any more. Any help?

Follow the steps........
1 Download mode
2 start odin
3 connect via usb
4 select pit latona_20110114
5 boot APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar
6 pda CODE_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar
7 phone MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar
8 csc GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar
9 press start
10 enjoy

You will need following before beginning installation:
1) Flsher Program + PIT (ODIN3 + Latona.PIT)
2) Firmware: I9003XXKPE
STEPS:
1) Open ODIN. Connect ur phone in download mode. just flash Latona.PIT file with Re-Partition selected.
2) Once flashed, Ur phone will reboot automatically but will show only black screen with background light. Do not worry. Open the back cover, remove the battery, insert battery and boot again in download mode.
3) Close ODIN. Open it again. Now we will be installing XXKPE.
i) Select Latona.PIT File in ODIN. (Make sure the "Re-Partition" is unchecked once you have selected PIT file)
ii) Select "APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar.md5" in bootloader.
iii) Select "CODE_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar.md5" in PDA.
iv) Select "MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar.md5" in PHONE.
v) Select "GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar.md5" in CSC.
Now flash it.
this will successfully install XXKPE on ur device. Once your flash is complete, ur device will boot and will ask for initial config.

Install XXLPY Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Firmware on I9070 Galaxy S Advance

STEPS-
Android 4.1.2 Official Firmware
1.Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded already from above link, you will get a .tar file and some other files.
2.Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
3.Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
4.Now, put the Galaxy S Advance I9070 phone in Download Mode by pressing pressing and holding down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button until you are welcomed by a green robot indicating you are in Download Mode.
5.Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe (see Step 2) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly.
6.Now connect your Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 with your PC using USB cable. A message will arrive under Odin’s message box in the bottom left saying “Added!!”. If you don’t get the same then you should try another USB port (try USB port located in back in your desktop PC). If that too don’t work then you should then reinstall the driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin then you are ready to go in next step. You should also see COM port with a number in Yellow if you successfully added your device.
7.Select these files in Odin at respective buttons from extracted I9070XXLPY firmware folder :
a)Click the PDA Button, and select the .tar file here with *code* appearing in its name
8.in Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected. Also, make sure that Re-Partition checkbox is selected, only if you are using a .pit file (see Step 7.4).
9.Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 7 & Step 8 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
10.Once flashing completed, the phone will reboot automatically and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can then unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
NOTE-If you have PARAMETER ERROR delete.md5,extension should end with .tar and put it in PDA.

1. Download the zip and place it in the root of your sd card.
PS : SD Card is a must.
2. Reboot to the stock recovery.
3. Select install update from external storage.
4. Select the root.zip file.
5. Viola

thats was not a proper guide,
you edited it later.

Perform a factory reset after booting 4.1.2 ... else you will get "Insert SIM card" error.

Samsung Galaxy SL I9003-- Install Zip from SD card is not coming

Hello,
I am trying to update my phone( Samsung Galaxy SL I9003) to Jelly Bean by following the steps mentioned in the site below

I completed the first step successfully. However the second step asks me to select an option named "Install Zip from sd card". But I do not have this option.
I searched little bit for the solution and found the following url.

But i have hard time following the solution mentioned. There are no steps given.
So could you please help me with this.

don't follow other site...every thing you need is here:
download full DDLF2 from here (thanks to sgatechwork)
follow these instructions (thanks to Misledz):
2. Run Odin3 v1.83
3. Set your phone to download mode : Press Volume down + OK first, then hold Power button.
4. Connect your phone, you should see Odin shows your phone is Added with COM number.
5. Click PIT button and select this file: latona_20110114.pit
6. You should see Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checked.
7. Click PDA button and select this file: CODE_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar
8. Click PHONE button and select this file: MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar
9. Click BOOTLOADER button and select this file: APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar
10. Click CSC button and select this file: GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar
11. Click Start button to flash these files to phone.
12. Do not touch anything till you see PASS on the program window.
13. Turn off the phone and set it back into download mode once you get an initial first boot to homescreen. Do not set up anything, Just power off and set to download mode.
Note: You only need to flash once to XXKPE before proceeding to XXKPQ
14. In Odin, press Reset button. Re-partition should be unchecked automatically.
15. Select file I9003XXKPQ_I9003XXKPQ_I9003SERKPQ_HOME.tar.md5 as PDA
16. Click on Start to flash XXKPQ PDA to phone
17. Once you have flashed, after the phone started up, press *#1234# and check your PDA,Phone and CSC, everything should ended with KPQ
18. Factory reset and enjoy
now root your phone using bam kernel (PDA_BCK_CF-root_universal_beta15.tar) as PDA in download mode using odin3 v1.85 only (thanks to XDA-Bam)
then download any JB rom you want and follow the OP instructions to install it

How to [Root] XPlay P9i

First Of All make Sure you have a backup of your stock rom.
[Not Responsible If Your Device Bricks and All, Do it at your own Risk]
Step 1: Download SP-Flash Tool
Step 2: Make sure you have your scatter file for XPlay P9i if u dont have it then get it from here
Step 3: Download the Recovery (not ported by me all rights given to the porter)
Note: After Downloading both the files Put them into a folder and then load the scatter file
Step 4: Make sure to enable USB Debugging From Developer Options and connect your phone by removing the battery and leave it with USB cable attached with the PC.
Step 5: Open SP-Flash tool and Load the Scatter file and hit the download button and when its done it will show the green ring with a tick inside saying download ok
Step 6: Insert the battery and go in recovery mode pressing volume + and power button
Step 7: Flash the SuperSu Zip and voila its done.
