Hi,
I have just by a Sony Ericson Xperia arc S. I have wanted to install a custom rom. But when I was in unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com I have cheked if my device is bootable (using *#*#7378423#*#* and checking Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status). And my Bootloader unlock allowed says No.
How can I do to force the Bootloader to Yes ?
Information : My device is unsimlocking.
Thank you !

Good luck, and thread closed.
I want to put Cyanogenmod onto my Z3, the problem is that my bootloader unlock status is no, so I can't unlock that and I know you can still root locked Z3's but I was told in another thread that you have to unlock the bootloader to flash a custom rom. Would unlocking my phone from its carrier work perhaps?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I've found this which lists the roms you can flash, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/index-sony-xperia-z3-roms-kernels-mods-t2891515 Also, if you have questions you can ask the in the Q&A section of this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
You must be referencing this thread:
> General discussion > Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking > [ROOT] Xperia E4g & E4
Please create an account (so you can post in other forums), if you haven't already, and then add a post to that thread, noting the Android version you have (sounds like 5.1.1).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
So I just bought myself a shiny new Xperia Z5 compact.
I went to the Sony Developer website but my device isn't listed (screenshot attached). No phones are listed in fact, just tablets. Can anyone else check to confirm this? Or might it be a location thing?
If it is a location thing, I'd really appreciate anyone who can help me get the key. I know how to do everything else, and I can just send my IMEI.
I checked the service menu in the phone and bootloader unlock is allowed.
Thank you in advance,
Cheers.

Just skipped on over to this page: http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/email-verification/
May a mod kindly close or delete this thread?
Thanks

The Assist section is here for new users of the site(read the stickies). We have a dedicated forum for your device and as a senior member, you should be capable of finding that and post questions in the Q&A there.
so I have an xperia E4g which is an unlocked sim one and I want to downgrade it to previous firmware so I can root it (cause the latest fw is unrootable)
so I started xperifirm and navigated to the xperia E4g section and all those fws showed up so can anyone explain what the market and operator columns mean?
and what happens if I flashed that sevice exchange unit fw?
see the pic in the attachments.
