Hi thank you for reading this thread,
I have an at&t sony xperia ion. I am trying to root it so I can clean out the phone and install my 3rd party apps from my old phone.
I have read the forum in Xperia Ion but the *#*#7378423#*#* came out to be No for unlocking bootloader.
I am wondering if I can still root my device? or does the No goes for both bootloader and rooting?
If I can still root my phone which thread should I read?
Thank You
P.S. sorry I couldn't post in the Sony Xperia Ion development section.

GO to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812168 then look at the 3rd post about ROOTING follow the procedures of LOCKED BOOT LOADERS
just follow the instructions correctly. and for you can't post from the thread try post 10 or more on the Q&A section of the XDA to be able for you to reply on the thread
NOTE: Don't point your finger at me when something bad happen to your device and i will laugh at you.
You just read and follow the devs instructions and you'll get what you need. Goodluck!

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search of XDA allowed me to find your device section here:
Sony Xperia Z2
Bookmark that page and make sure you subscribe to that forum, within it you'll find all relevant information for your device. These threads in particular would be a really good place to start:
[INFO] ALL You Need To Know About Owning A Xperia*Z2
[FTF] STOCK FIRMWARES for Xperia Z2/Z2a (D65x3/D6502/SO-03F) [20141116]
If you have any questions in future you'll find your device-specific q&a section here:
Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Make sure you perform a search before creating a thread though because most likely someone else has already asked (and had answered) whatever question it is you want to ask. That's the beauty of XDA, information at your fingertips!
Best of luck with your device.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. For future reference you can find your specific device forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
Sony Xperia C
All development and discussion for your device takes place in that specific device forum, so that's where any ROMs for your phone will be posted. Unfortunately these low-spec devices don't gain much attention from developers very often, so the chances of any major development happening are fairly slim. All you can do is wait and hope for the best.
Good luck!

Hi!I am using this Sony Xperia Z1 C6902. I have already rooted it with Kingroot and also have unlocked the bootloader. Now when I refer to various tutorials to flash custom recoveries like the dual recovery, I found out that those tutorials are meant for some other build ( e.g. .585).
So my question is...how can i flash the dual recovery if i have the above mentioned pre-requisities already available on my phone (the underlined ones) ?
Also could i get the method to flash Xposed framework after flashing the custom recovery ?
Please help me as soon as possible !
