Most of us have a basic understanding of how augmented reality can be brought to the cell phone. My idea consists of AR versions of some of the classics. Any programmers out there willing to give this a try? I don't know if all of these ideas are possible, but think they could be real fun.
AR Pacman - You are big round and yellow with a never ending hunger. Run around eating up pellets that appear floating in front of you. Don't forget to keep your eye on the radar for ghosts. If one is closing in on you you can turn on him and see him floating there in front of you as well. Eat a power pellet and chase him down. Team up with friends running the app to clear the stage faster.
AR Asteroids - Sit yourself down in the captains seat of your own star ship (spinning chair for best effect) and take on incoming asteroids. As you spin around you see asteroids coming from every direction. Keep track of possible threats and weapon/armor upgrades via the radar.
AR Pong - Place yourself in front of a wall or other opponent and move your phone left or right to hit the incoming ball on screen.
I can go on and on naming different classic games that would rock like this, but you get the idea.
AR Pong would be awesome
I am currently developing an AR card game
The goal is to display the cards as if they are on the table in front of you..
you can check my post here or the game is in the market called "Brainy Cards" at the moment the background is a panorama but i'm working on using the camera as the opengl background..
If you check the post here you can see the pictures and the direction I am headed...
I'd like to see something able to read the 3DS augReal cards..
Hello XDA-Users!
I would like to present you my first app called 'Shoot the Bird'.
I spent a lot of hours into developing since this is my first Android game. I wrote this app for my oral examination (german abitur) and a lot of my class mates liked it so I uploaded it to Google Play.
Instructions:
- touch or swipe over the birds (and rabbits in EASTER EDITION) to kill them and get points
- don't let them escape, otherwise you'll loose a life
- don't touch the black birds or you will loose a life and 500P
- nukes will destroy all objects in the playarea. they appear every 123 killed birds
- the longer you swipe/touch the more points you loose. same for multiple fingers
PLEASE: use the highscorefunction. I spent so many hours into it and no one uses it ...
So if you like it give it a good rating, please also comment and if you have any critics or suggestions post it here or email to the emailadress given in Google Play.
Hope you enjoy: Get it on Google Play FOR FREE!
I tried your game, not bad
Yep. Not a bad game at all. Nice work

Can you specify this? What is exactly messed up?
The menu screen layouts is what I meant. I've attached two bad quality screenshots
Jut came across this brilliant little game on Google Play and thought I'd share it here.

7x7 is a new puzzle game inspired by classic 5 or more. It’s easy to grasp and very addictive. Make horizontal, vertical or diagonal rows of the same color by dragging pieces across the board and get points and power ups! Try it out and you won’t be able to stop playing it!
7x7 includes great new features:
* Got stuck? Earn Move Anywhere power-ups to recover from sticky situations.
* If you’ve just made a wrong move you can always Undo it, just tap the upper right corner.
* Kiip enabled: Win real rewards for your in-game achievements and high scores.

It appears to follow Android app guidelines, is really fluid and just a great challenge.
It's free too which I was quite surprised about. No ridiculous permissions requesting access to unnecessary information either.
:good:
The Game has been updated with Google Play Services integration Really neat!

I know this thread is ancient, I just had to post my question somewhere. I see on the leaderboards the high score of over 1 million. lol I can't even crack 8,000. The randomness of the incoming tiles doesn't allow you to plan ahead - you can see which tiles are incoming, but not where they'll be placed, and you're often blocked by the incoming tiles. Once you get past level 3 it's 5+ tiles incoming at once - I just don't see the feasibility of getting over 100,000...much less over 1 million. I'm baffled.

Often, with such high scores, poeple just reversed engineered the code to send false data to the server. Maybe this is the problem.

Cool idea, you might want to add auto rotate. I don't like getting an ad before i get to play once. Took me a bit to realize what the colors mean, maybe some english feedback when you die. Also how about coins and powerups?

Yes. We plan to add coins and powerups
Hello friends,
I've been teaching myself how to program in Java and working on this game for almost two months now. I have finally completed and released it into the wild yesterday.
Please give it a try: bubble pop!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.danielau.pop
NEW (version 1.2.0)
Time challenge mode, 'twenty one'. How fast can you pop 21 bubbles?
How to play
Pop the bubble on the screen before it shrinks to nothingness and a new one shows up somewhere random.
As you pop more bubbles, the speed of the new bubbles will increase making it harder for you to get that next one.
The smaller the bubble you pop, the faster the new one will move! And the bigger the bubble you pop, the faster the next one will shrink! Strike a balance to pop as many bubbles as you can to get a high score.
Be careful how often you tap though because every miss will lower your score multiplier which goes up with every bubble pop and bubble collision with the screen!
Log into Google Play Games to submit your score and compete with people around the world!

It looks like I can't host images from my Google Drive... please check it out in the Play store for the screen shots! Sorry for the inconvenience. =)
Also, any feedback here or in the Play store is GREATLY appreciated. <3
Bump. By the way, this game is free! Great to play when you're waiting for something or someone.
Hello, if any of you have tried this out, please give me some feedback! Anything from the game play to the visual style and whatnot. I'm looking for ways to improve it and also to develop a better sense of developing simple casual games like this one.
I'm currently thinking to add a mode where a limited number of pops are allowed. So the player pops 10 (or more?) bubbles as fast as possible for time rankings or pops the bubbles in a way to maximize their multiplier for another type of score ranking. What do you think?
Bump :good:
Still hoping to receive some feedback and suggestions for future additions!
Bump; I've just uploaded version 1.2 to the play store.
It introduces a new time challenge mode! Please try it out.
I've also removed the advertisements as I don't care much for them.
And once again, any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Anything from visuals to game play, how the scores are displayed, etc!
Bump! I've started pondering an idea for a new game. I hope I can get some actual feedback for this new one later on...
I really like the simplicity and design on this!
I don't like the google play services getting automatically prompted though. I think that should be optional and an active choice.
