Hello, I'm currently using my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I was wondering if it was possible to place a ROM on a separate micro SD card and tell the phone to boot off of the SD card.
Any answers are heavily appriciated, especially instructions. -LegacyNote

I know the inspire should be compatible with sdhd cards. Is there a driver update that will allow users to use an sdhd card instead of the regular sd micro card?

Nope...there is no special drivers required...although there are certain tweaks, that claims to improve your sd card speed...

Is any one else having this problem?
Can it read other SD cards? My wife has received three 64GB microSD cards in a row,all from different stores, that were bad and wouldn't mount in hers or my phone. But we can mount any other SD card fine. They do have a high failure rate. You can see it all over the forums here.

The 1st one I tried wouldn't work, so I bought a Samsung card & have had no issues.Shouldn't make a difference, but who knows?

I've had this problem with a 64 class. 10 sandisk. Card. Recognizes fine in my wife's s3 but mine it doesn't. Her is stock and I'm rooted and rom'ed. Going to try and Odin stock with it installed and see if that fixes it. Then just reinstall cwm and rom

Most custom roms won't recognize a card formatted with exFat. You will need to format the card with fat32 to use it...

Formatted with dos cmd prompt app I found online and now my phone reads the card

We need to compile a list of ROMs that support exFAT. In this day and age of huge capacity sdcards and the ability to rip movies, the lack of exFAT support is becoming a major liability.
Hi.. again.
I have had three tablets until now, and the one before my tf101 had the ability to install on microSD card. I was wondering if there is any Custom ROM that has this option? I have bought a 16GB microSD card especially for my TF101. Or, is there any app or any way i can use my SD card as my internal storage as I have done with my 1st tablet?
Thanks in advance.

I've got this 64GB sd card that I've had problems with.
Can anyone recommend an app that will analyze it and check to see if it's fraudulent?
What's the best filesystem for an sd card anyways? Fat32? More info the better!
Thanks.

you can check it using (ChkFlsh) it's a tiny applicaton runs on windows that will check the card by filling it and read it so you would know if its okay
regarding the file system i think you can only go with fat 32 , as exfat and ntfs are not recognizable by all roms
