Hi everybody,
Practically: when i recharge my phone for a long period of type (i recharge it during the sleep time), when i use it in the morning, in few minutes it gets stuck; then i have to force a reboot with a long press of the power button and then it returns normal. This does not happen when i recharge it for 20/40 minutes or so
I have a Nexus 5 16GB with the latest Lollipop official release (flashed via ADB), but this problem was present with kitkat too, but in minor way. With kitkat this happened some times, like once in a month, so i didn't investigate for the problem, but now with lollipop this happens every morning.
What it could be? Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you, and sorry for bad english!

my nexus 5 d820 16 gigs would randomly shutdown for no reason, it wouldn't turn on without plugging it in. i was rooted and running cm11, then i tried carbon ROM, then c-ROM. c-ROM started to give me problems so i factory reset and switched to carbon but the problems remained. then i unrooted, thinking that root was the problem but no signs of improvement, so i re-locked the bootloader but still the problem remained. it would sometimes also shut down if i unplug it and would always forget my WiFi connection for some reason. help me please. thanks in advance.
Well sounds like a hardware problem since you already unroofed and relocked boot loader I would say call lg and get a warranty replacement

Sorry to bring this post back after a long time.
I had a similar but not exactly the same problem.
2 nights ago I left the phone on the table, and a few minutes later, when I picked it up, it was off (It had about 60% battery left when I put it down).
Then it would not wake up; I kept the power button pressed for like 20 seconds to force a shutdown, and then tried to power up with no luck, so I'm thinking I'm screwed.
I tried again and it powered up to a graphical noise screen as seen in the attached image, but then it showed the boot animation and came back to life.
This morning it shut off by itself while listening to music (Google play), but powered back on right away...
Rooted 4.4.4, stock ROM, Xposed with Greenify, Amplify and wakelock detector (all latest versions). But no changes for a couple weeks before this started happening.
No specific app running (at least in the foreground).
Any one knows where I can find any kind of log or trace about this, if any at all?
Has anyone experienced this as well?
Thanks
After 24 days Huawei honor 6 went off and now he does not want to work.
I just put it on the charger because it was at about 20% battery last time I looked, and in the meantime (about an hour, hour and a half) I did not even notice that no longer works. I still do not give signs of life !! Now what to do?
It is H60-L02 purchased in China - to2c.shop, arrived by mail to Croatia.
Thx
Just push all 3 buttons at the same time for a long time. After this push the power button for some seconds and it should boot again. I had this problem many times. The system crashed and normally solved with removing the battery or in our case to make a hard reset
Thank you very much !!! Now he works, but what if it happened again?
Dunno, just force it shut down and reboot. Some people have this problem and some not. Maybe its connected with the SD card or the service provider. I have this problem too, every few weeks this could happen so I do not use the honor as my only alarm clock and get another clock as a backup. In some cases the phone reboots manually
So it is not good, but I will do as you say. Thanks again.
My honor 6 gets swithedoff all of sudden. From.then when i am trying it gets on off with no time. Tried to.boot. but showed software installation failed. But a day later it stopped even it. Pl help
Hey guys!
First off, my phone has: unlocked bootloader, rooted, stock rom, android 4.4.4, code blue kernel (v440), xposed
Since last week my phone shuts down conutnuous. Sometimes in 5 minute periods and sometimes in 5 hour periods.. It happens randomly and I never faced something like this before.
I really don't know what to do, because I can't find the reason for this problem.. I didn't experiment with new kernels or something.
Can it be a hardware problem?
Can someone help me here?
Is the power button stuck?
Sometimes I have problems with the power button, yes, but wouldn't then the "shutdown-menu" appear? My phone shuts down immediately..
No one? :/
Is the battery damaged? Check all the connections
Hey, this happens to me as well and I was trying to find a solution to it. I have stock 5.1 Lollipop, non-rooted. I am going to try wipe all cache and reload 5.1
Sounds like power button for sure. Google "stuck nexus 5 power button" and you'll find lots of info.
Hello all,
Guyz I am having issues with my stock lollipop nexus 5 screen. The screen works perfectly but won't lite up.
On kitkat it happens mostly after I hang up any call and need to restart phone to turn the screen on.
After lollipop update in Nov last year the phone screen goes off any time. I restart phone or charge for long time and screen turns on because usually on lollipop when battery drains the screen issue begins. lollipop update has this problem in beginning to drain battery very fast. However afrer another quick lollipop update which fixes issues my phone works for around 2 months and last time I have low battery and power saving turned on, the phone goes off and until now screen stays off and rest works like charm.
I tried factory reset but couldn't perform as I was unable to see what's happening on phone. I de attach the battery 2 times and wait for sometime and pressed the power button to discharge any power in phone, then connected battery connectors again but still nothing happen.
Does anyone help me on this or let me know what to do.
Your help will be appreciated

Hello Folks,
I have been using cataclysm rom, april's stable release on my nexus 5 for past 2 months and it was a perfect companion.
Since yesterday though it has started to reboot, and only the google logo comes up and it again reboot's.
When I unplug the charger though the phone stops rebooting and is as good as dead. When I plugin, the reboot loop continues.
Currently I am unable to use my phone, and any help would be great.
My doubt is if the battery has gone very weak, and is unable to support the boot process, but even though I keep it charged for a significant amount of time, the same isssue happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi,
It seems to be a power button issue. It being pressed permanently is causing the issue. Rammed the phone a lil softly on a surface on the side of power button and the phone was back to life. Need to get the issue fixed, need to see where and how.
If the phone is plugged in, it should be able to boot. Some time ago i had also a problem related to battery (so i thougth at the time). My phone was charging very slow and wasn't capable to boot if i had the phone turned on, so i had to turn off the phone and let it charge for about 30 minutes before it could boot. It turned out that was a problem with the USB connectors. So i cleaned the USB entry and everything was fine again.
