So Verizon working with HTC have removed the call blocking features on the software for the HTC One M8 so they can get people to subscribe to the call blocking?
Unethical business practice? Possible lawsuit here?

We'll see how you feel about it when you go to your next phone, cannot block calls, and only can subscribe to a Verizon service to do so when you know(because you can do it now) that is possible to block at the phone level.

I will feel the same way about it as I do now. I don't care as I don't use it but I decided to test it out to see if maybe you missed something and I could tell you what I did to block a number. Your post does say "have removed" but I most certainly still have it. If you were referring to future phones or a future update maybe you should include that part.
So you have Verizon service with a HTC One M8 phone and can block calls?
Yes. Verizon HTC M8 on an unlimited data contract. I'll post screen shots in a minute.

Just released on Verizon. I recall on the G1 there was some easy workarounds to get it running off sprint.
Just wondering if theres a chance to get it on N1 ?

Chances are getting the app is the simple part of the equation, getting the app too work on a non-verizon network, Hard too do.
you can get NFL ST to stream every game to your phone, but its expensive...
i read on the droid forums that the app wouldn't work unless it said "verizon" on the pull down notification bar
so i guess if you can trick it to say that it might work.
the reason it says Verizon is because it is on the Verizon network. If I were them whenever you tired to access the program you would be connected to a verizon server which verifies your network connection then allows you to connect to the NFL.
This type of thing isnt that uncommon. espn360 was set up a similar way to block certain internet providers.

its a program on the market. just do a search
NFL ST is for those DTV subsribers with superfan.
NFL mobile is an entirely different app. The reason I want it is that it streams NFL network. But currently only to VZ customers...not even on wifi.
I currently use an HTC Radar with t-mobile. I need a sim unlock to go to the Atrix. Help? Atrix is with att.
Depends if it is a Usa branded phone then yes..... Also the unlock times are quite long took me about 3 days to receive my unlock code..... Welcome to the forums the search bar is also extremely useful to find a answer without waiting for a reply.....

call ATT they legally have to unlock it if your account is in good standing. They are usually nice about it. I did it through their online chat. make sure you have the last 4 digits of the SSN of the account holder.

Hi,
You can unlock your Atrix using unlock codes!!! Unlocking using codes is easy and also safe!!! There are may online sites that offer these codes. Personally i would suggest Simpleunlocking.com , here they provide best unlocking service at reasonable price!!! After unlocking your phone, you can use it with any GSM network!!!!

Dude, less sugar. Really. You type like a chihuahua barks.
But seriously, I've known people who have had really good results with these sites. I've also known people who get burned with bogus codes or outright nothing at all, no support, no nothing. I'd just call AT&T...you at least KNOW that they have access to the information that you need.

Well, if you thought KNOX was going to cease existing, then Google and Samsung might have spilled water on all your dreams.
Today, at Google I/O, the search giant announced that it will be integrating part of KNOX right into Android for making it more
secure for enterprises and IT administrators, allowing them to create special containers on a device for business data in order to keep it secure.
KNOX will be integrated into Android L.....

Having Knox support is one thing but don't see Google introducing Knox counter like Samsung to their devices.
This is great news.

Good news for Android. It might finally get foot on the business grounds. It won't stop people from rooting.

I think there's a big difrence between KNOX and the KNOX-counter Sam**** uses.
The last one is just like crapping on your customers.
But the 1st one is to have secure systems so company's can use the phones, for safe and secure work related things.
Essential screwed up big time. First they sent me request for additional data. I told them to screw themselves and cancel my order.

Then I started to get lots of mails from other customers, most with their personal data:

And it's going strong!

Ya, NO one.. I mean NO ONE respond with any personal data. Dont even respond. I've started sharing this and telling people dont.
This is a phishing scam.

I also got a email. Asking for your passport is totally a false flag.
Essential screwed up. I created an email for this purchase yesterday, and that was the one abused. So Essential, you were accessed in the last 24 hours.
Glad I took my precautions.
You could have at least blurred out the email, phone number and other personal information before posting this out. Good job, you just aided in spreading personal information to others.
It's been reported every where someone got into the essential email servers and started sending out these emails requesting bogus information. Probably some pissed off Samsung fan boy haha.

Not to surprising. I believe here in the US it is illegal to record a phone call with someone without first explicitly telling them the call is going to be recorded.

Not necessarily. Most states have one party consent where if you're part of the conversation then you can record the call without the knowledge of the other party. 12 states including California do require all parties need to consent before you can legally record any calls though.
Root, Edxposed, FireFDS - native call recorder will be activated
Install ACR unchained. Works fine on the phone, haven't tested on bluetooth
