Depends if it is a Usa branded phone then yes..... Also the unlock times are quite long took me about 3 days to receive my unlock code..... Welcome to the forums the search bar is also extremely useful to find a answer without waiting for a reply.....

call ATT they legally have to unlock it if your account is in good standing. They are usually nice about it. I did it through their online chat. make sure you have the last 4 digits of the SSN of the account holder.

But seriously, I've known people who have had really good results with these sites. I've also known people who get burned with bogus codes or outright nothing at all, no support, no nothing. I'd just call AT&T...you at least KNOW that they have access to the information that you need.

Okay, I have searched for several weeks and would like a recommendation.
I currently have a Kaiser (AT&T Tilt). I have tried several ROMs with the phone over the past few years, but I clearly need to replace my phone. I live in an area that practically eliminates having any carrier other than AT&T or Verizon. The service with Sprint & T-Mobile is terrible.
I would like a phone running Android. I have tried the Kaiser port and enjoyed using it more than any ROM I have tried. I am fully aware that this poses a problem, as neither AT&T or Verizon currently have an Android phone.
As far as I know, I have three options ...
Purchase a T-Mobile phone (G1 or MyTouch) and use it on AT&T, giving up any hope of using the 3G network.
Purchase the Google Dev phone and use it on AT&T, again giving up any hope of using the 3G network.
Purchase a Rogers G1, pray for a root kit, and hope that it works correctly on AT&T's networks.
Is there anything I am missing? I'd really like to upgrade in the near future, but as far as I see I'm between a rock and a hard place.

I'd take the Hero in a heartbeat ... but is there any way to get one in the US before late fall/early winter?

Does any of you guys know computer programming. I am looking for someone who can make an android emulator, something that can work as a real android phone, and also make the virtual modem ports etc. This emulator should be able to be customised to be an htc phone, samsung phone etc.

I am using H2O 60 dollars a month prepaid service and already set the propper apn and set the microsoft account.. I still cant access the marketplace.. Am I missing something here? tried using the search but couldnt find anything

I seriously cant find anything at all this is ridiculous.... Called microsoft and they told me to contact nokia.. and nokia has no ways of contacting them..

They could have blocked needed ports for the Market. Can you use it on WiFi?
I suggest this because Straight Talk blocked something that I needed for Xbox music to work on my Lumia 900 so I had to use WiFi for it.
My carrier gave me an MSL Code to enter, and all that happens is the number is dialed (see below). There is no "edit" or "MDN" field.

Am I too late to the party? Stock ROM only I believe, ##data## and it takes you to the programming screen

Do you have your msl? They will always tell you that if not all the bands/frequencies are supported

Yeah they gave it to me in that email but for some reason xda labs wouldn't allow me to copy and paste the whole thing.

i somehow did bootloader unlock by following this thread and now my phone is shows something like that in developer options (idk even if i'm in the right way by doing it)

If you want to unlock your SIM and you have completely cleared the dues to your provider, approach them for a way. If you have not paid off the phone, it is illegal to attempt to unlock the SIM and XDA is not the place for seeking help.
