Really unhelpful since you haven't listed which model you have... A few do but most don't.

Not to surprising. I believe here in the US it is illegal to record a phone call with someone without first explicitly telling them the call is going to be recorded.

Not necessarily. Most states have one party consent where if you're part of the conversation then you can record the call without the knowledge of the other party. 12 states including California do require all parties need to consent before you can legally record any calls though.

Root, Edxposed, FireFDS - native call recorder will be activated

Install ACR unchained. Works fine on the phone, haven't tested on bluetooth

[Q] how to reject all calls except my contacts ?

Hi everyone,
The s6 " do not disturb" feature only mute instead of blocking (rejecting the call) while the "call rejection" feature blocks only unknown numbers and by unknown it means only the hidden calls (when no number is shown).
Did i miss any feature which can block any number which is not in my contact list?
If there is no more such a feature as s3, any recommended app for S6?
Thank you much .
In the call rejection settings, the same place you saw blocking "unknown" numbers you can list phone numbers to be rejected.

I was looking for this very same thing yesterday and found this app
Thank u cpfeifer but i meant my phone should reject any number which i dont have it saved in contacts and s3 used to have such a feature.
Nflwideout thank u it is an option.but i thought s6 has it integrated but i am certain that samsung has removed that feature.
thank u both.
Does toggling Unknown allows you to do that?
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
No it doesnt, it only rejects those who have hidden numbers

Caller ID and Spam Protection Mod (Whitepages) keeps turning OFF

Guys,
Any idea why Caller ID and Spam Protection option automatically gets OFF, Mostly upon Reboot?
It's in Settings/Advanced Settings/ --
I have it enabled on ROM by using the below code on OMC/XSG/cscfeature.xml
Code:
<CscFeature_Common_ConfigSvcProviderForUnknownNumber>whitepages,whitepages,whitepages</CscFeature_Common_ConfigSvcProviderForUnknownNumber>
This used to work quite well on the S7 and Note 7, and no issue with switching off on reboot. Just on the S8 I'm facing this issue.
Any help is much appreciated!

Having the exact same issue with my S8+ in Canada. Has anybody been able to find a solution to this problem?
Thanks.

Offhand i don't have a solution.
However, i can say it's not supposed
to be like that.
My phone is not rooted.
Stock Rom.
No issues with Caller Id button and Spam Protection, sticking /staying on.
(After reboot or not,)
I can toggle it, just fine.
See screenshot.
Don't know if Service Provider
has to support this function, to work.?
or did you maybe disable
"some" setting on phone
and have a knock on affect.
or was the relevant setting "broken /corrupted"
by some other 3rd party app.
If none of above, consider a factory reset.?
It will save you a lot of frustration /trouble.
i'm also had this issue in j7 pro

Very weird problem about the emergency button in lock screen

Hi everyone,
The wired problem is every time I press that button, it won't show my emergency info but reboot my phone signal(signal bar will be empty with a "x" then come back automatically). It worked before, and I think this happened after I rooted my phone with Magisk.

Any ideas about this? Thanks in advance.
Basic phone info: stock Rom 8.1, stock kernel
Solved: Because of a misconfigured theme file.
I think the phone changes (or resets?) some network configs as part of enhanced emergency services in preparation for you to dial 911. I just checked and mine does it too although I don't know about previous phones or android versions. I'm inclined to think it's more of a feature than is apparent.

Might be, but when it was working, it would show my emergency contact info. Right now nothing happened only got this problem (and just found the left up corner also said no service no sim card), and also no dial panel to dial 911

Bugged/merged phone numbers (mine and caller's) in call history

It shows up like this in call history for some reason, and my smartwatch also shows all incoming calls as coming from myself. The caller's number shown before picking it up somehow shows properly.
Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Android 11, crDroid but I see this happen in multiple custom ROMs.

Where are blocked numbers stored?

Hello,
I have a OnePlus Nord10 5G cell phone, running Android 11.
I have received many spam phone calls on my phone, which I have blocked.
Where on my phone are these blocked numbers stored internally?
Thank you.

Blocked numbers are stored by the system application "phone."
It is not at all certain that you will have access to the data of this application.
Thank you for the response ze7zez.
I wanted to transfer the blocked numbers to another phone, but that may explain why I have not been able to find the data.

Today I checked. The app captures blocked numbers through the native app, but there is no backup/restore option. There are no options at all.
The investigation and search for a solution is still ongoing.
edit.
It's OK. When you click on the (+), a menu appears with the ability to export the MyBlocked-YYYY-MM-DD.json file.
After importing the file on another device, the application can be safely deleted. The list of blocked numbers remains available to the phone's native app.
