Well, if you thought KNOX was going to cease existing, then Google and Samsung might have spilled water on all your dreams.
Today, at Google I/O, the search giant announced that it will be integrating part of KNOX right into Android for making it more
secure for enterprises and IT administrators, allowing them to create special containers on a device for business data in order to keep it secure.
KNOX will be integrated into Android L.....

Having Knox support is one thing but don't see Google introducing Knox counter like Samsung to their devices.
This is great news.

Good news for Android. It might finally get foot on the business grounds. It won't stop people from rooting.

I think there's a big difrence between KNOX and the KNOX-counter Sam**** uses.
The last one is just like crapping on your customers.
But the 1st one is to have secure systems so company's can use the phones, for safe and secure work related things.

How long do you think we will be waiting for some nice custom black housing/trackballs for the Nexus etc?
Also has anyone stripped one yet and how hard was the process?
Just wondering as I used to do this a lot when I was a CrackBerry addict and loved switching the look of my 9000 up.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Colorware? They'll tear apart/rebuild the phone for you, but I believe (Not sure x.x) that you get to keep the old parts so you can switch between the two.

Hmm, except I have to buy new cause I'm in the UK, and with shipping that will total $925 (£625) Is there a service like this in Europe does anyone know?
This is a funny application for all galaxy defenders. You might already know something great like this from "Men In Black - MIB (Flashy Thing)" or other movies. It can be used like a weapon: to erase brain memory. The camera flashlight gets used to remove memories from the audience. Just aim in the augmented reality view at your target and flash them out. Please be careful when using, we won't take any responsibility for possible damage. To prevent memory loss, don't forget to wear black sunglasses!

Can I just ask, what ever happened to this app?
From PALM PRE to GALAXY S2. From HOPE to RELIEF!
Who ever owns the rights to the name "Men In Black" probably had it pulled
Yeah good point, why didn't the dev just change its name? Might be worth getting in touch with pocket Lexus and asking what happened!

Quite an interesting little article as I work for a company that does a lot of security research. Maybe you guys have heard of SpiderLabs? They were just on NBC or ABC with a little bit about hacking info from hotel door locks and such. Last holiday season they did a little bit about using Karma attacks on public wifi.

But not as much as actually having a virus (or many virii) will do of course
wow... pretty interesting stuff. good read
WOW. That is nuts. Simple little homeade connector at that
Interesting, but someone needs to have physical access to the phone.
I've been reading articles about a recent major update to Google Maps, but so far nothing appears to have changed on my phone (or tablet, for that matter) and the Play Store tells me I've got the latest.
Anyone know what gives with this? Does anyone have the new version?

Thanks. Didn't realize they maintained different "versions" of the app targeted to specific O/Ss and devices. Hey -- my app runs on anything from 2.3 up!

The lastest update really does suck !
I was on the free way, but it showed my position on the street next to the free way. It had never happened before the update. So I don't recommend people to update. And my GPS signal is pretty good (16/25 sat.), so there is nothing wrong with my gps, but the app itself.
Agreed, if you can keep from updating, definitely hold out. Mine wouldn't keep up with my position in navigator and it was telling me to turn in directions which weren't even possible. They've introduced some major bugs with this update. I reverted back to an older version and I'm good to go now.

Essential screwed up big time. First they sent me request for additional data. I told them to screw themselves and cancel my order.

Then I started to get lots of mails from other customers, most with their personal data:

And it's going strong!

Ya, NO one.. I mean NO ONE respond with any personal data. Dont even respond. I've started sharing this and telling people dont.
This is a phishing scam.

I also got a email. Asking for your passport is totally a false flag.
Essential screwed up. I created an email for this purchase yesterday, and that was the one abused. So Essential, you were accessed in the last 24 hours.
Glad I took my precautions.
You could have at least blurred out the email, phone number and other personal information before posting this out. Good job, you just aided in spreading personal information to others.
It's been reported every where someone got into the essential email servers and started sending out these emails requesting bogus information. Probably some pissed off Samsung fan boy haha.

Android Central, a couple times it has come up one my Google now feed as a top story for me. Essential has tweeted they are aware and looking into it.
