Hi folks....
I have a problem receiving MMS on my Z3.
Despite having it set to automatically download MMS, it never does.
I have downloaded the Internet and MMS settings for my provider EE, but it still wont retrieve them.
It gives me the option to 'download message' manually, but that won't work neither.
Has anybody had this issue and/or is there a fix?
Thanks

I had this happen to me as well. Fixed it by setting the APN Protocol and APN Roaming Protocol from IPv6 to IPv4/IPv6 (see bold items below).
Below is a full list of my current APN settings that seem to work perfectly for me.

Thanks for your help. I'll give this a go...
One way around it that I did find, was switching to 3G from 4G...
Using 3G I can download them, using 4G I can't - which is weird

I don't even see MMS Protocol: WAP2.0 as one of the fields. Why is it not showing up on my T-Mobile (D6616) Z3?

I have the same problem with MMS as well.
I opened a topic in Q/A section but no one replied...

I don't know if this helps or not, but It seems like people with American Carriers, or T-mobile tend to not have issues with MMS. I don't know if this would work, but maybe comparing APN settings and seeing if anything is missing may work?
Settings -> More.. -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names ->
at this point I had three or three options...
I assume they were: T-Mobile, T-Mobile Data, and T-Mobile MMS
Now since I use Simple Mobile, I had to change the T-Mobile to Simple Mobile with all the correct settings, and for MMS to work I also had to change the T-Mobile MMS APN with the same exact settings as the Simple Mobile APN.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
One other way you may try, after putting all the correct settings;
Where is says APN Type, write "mms" (without quotes)
Give it a try. Hope it helps.
Problem is, I'm on Bell Canada...

Me on rogers it wasn't a signal issue as i had full bars i just saw the "h" coming up only the upper bar was lightning but the lower one was normal..

I'm on Wind and I cant neither send nor receive mms but I think my settings are correct since the phone detected it automatically. Any ideas ?
I am with O2 uk and also had this issue. I contacted them and they emailed their latest apn settings to me, which I copied in to my settings and my mms then worked fine. I think when some custom roms search for the apns automatically they pick up out of date settings. Just phone your carrier and ask for the apn settings for mms as if you are getting internet but no mms on several roms it can only be due to incorrect apn.

For those having trouble with Rogers, I wasted quite a bit of time trying to figure out why I couldn't send/receive MMS. Solution for me was this:
1. USE ONLY THIS APN, DELETE ALL THE OTHER APNS - For some reason, it conflicted and when I deleted all the other unnecessary APN's it worked great again. Here's what I used and ONLY this one for Rogers Canada. The internet.com apn doesn't work for me, fortunately I found this one that works!

It seems I can sens MMS ok (typically using Handcent, but Hangouts OK too), but when I receive a MMS message in Handcent, It just says "Downloading" and then nothing. I noticed if I switch back to Hangous, I don't even see the MMS, same with Textra.
I've checked my APN settings and all look correct:

I have not received an MMS since I have gotten my Nexus 5, but I was able to send and receive them with my HTC One with hangouts on t-mobile. To get it to work on that phone I had to make sure wifi calling was turned off or wifi was turned off.

I have turned Wifi off, but still "Downloading" in Handcent. I verified that I was able to send and receive an MMS message to myself, and that worked OK. I have seen some people suggesting that receiving other provider's (Verizon, Sprint) MMS may be a problem, anybody verified that?
I've had much better luck with epc.tmobile.com.

Still no luck on the epc.tmobile.com side. I've read this setting a few times: MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 but it is not an option in Nexus 5 apn settings, could it be somewhere else? Or is it moot now.
I have also seen some MMS proxies around:
216.155.165.50 for the MMS Proxy and 8080 for MMS Port, but I haven't tried them yet...
I don't know if this also helps, but digging around I was able to save the Downloading mms to the handcent service, and when I open it there I see:
http://pol1mmsget.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc?location=[PHONE_NUMBER]_5vn1gn&rid=026
My phone number does not have the brackets, obviously...
I was running stock 4.4.2, rooted and unlocked, and my service/data were fine until today, when I just stopped being able to use data. I've tried rebooting, powering down for about half an hour, checked and double checked my APNs, and flashed Cm11. Haven't tried to flash a new radio alone since I figured cm11 would've come with a different radio from stock. A friend suggested it might be my SIM, but I would assume I would get no service at all if there was a problem there.
So where do I go from here? :V

Who is your carrier. Go to mobile networks/access point names/ and find your apn settings
Try proper radio. A sign is if your WiFi doesn't find signal usually bad mixed. I get this often. I flash lots on many devices but its simple. Anyway try your radio. And no ROMs normally have no radio unless it says otherwise or firmware. Peace.

See I can pick up wifi just fine, it's just my regular data that's acting up. I've tried looking into a guide for flashing radios but to be honest, I don't know much about LTE bands or anything. Is there a good guide here that I missed? It seems as simple as flashing one with CWR but I don't wanna ruin anything.

Added both, tried selecting each one and I'm still having the same problem.
So to update, I've gone back to stock 4.4.4, straight from google, still not working, and then flashed the newest radio and that didn't do it either. Starting to thing it's a hardware problem, maybe actually is the SIM?
Ended up being the sim! Thanks for your help though, guys!
