WiFi hotspot problem - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have some problems with WiFi hotspot. The hotspot will stop working, i.e. webpage on my laptop stop loading, after like about one hour everytime I use it and I have to stop it and restart WiFi hotspot. I didn't have this issue with z2.
Anyone has the same problem?
Thanks.

[Q] Wi-fi connection issues

Hello everyone,
I'm having some issues with my wi-fi connection. Almost evry time i try to load a webpage or an app's content th waitin time is very long and often the webpage doesn't even load in general. This is only happening when I'm using wi-fi, when using mobile networks everithing is OK.
I don't think the problem is bad wi-fi connection at home, because other devices connected to it works without problems.
Do anyone know what sort of problem it is and how to solve it?
Thank you

A defective wi-fi is improbable. Have you tried to use another wi-fi connection?

WIFI and mobile internet at the same time

This seems to be an easy one first, I just did not manage this working.
When I am connected to device via WiFi (which is not connected to the internet) I cannot connect to mobile data. The device somehow keeps trying to use WiFi only for internet connection. Obviously switching is NOT OK, as I want to be connected to the device. Imagine it is a drone remote controller or a dashcam or a wifi cam.
I tried Wifi+ but that is only changing to another wifi with internet on or switches to mobile net. I also tried mobile net always on, but does not help either.
Any idea? I do not even think this is Honor related - this should be easily working on any Android device.

sounds like the same to me , but i think, its impossible , you can connect both at a time.. but phone always tries to get internet from wifi..
Yes. It's quite impossible to do that. Wi-Fi and Mobile Data at the same time. Speedify on the play store let's you use both for downloads and Internet. Doubt it'd solve your problem tho

I understand now it might not be possible. It is by default like this in Android. It is kinda stupid, though.

WiFi issues

Hi,
Wondering anyone encountered the same problem. My XZP can connect to home wifi and wifi when I'm in my home land. Once I travel overseas, I can't get connected to the wifi, be it hotels or anywhere with free WiFi. It shows connected, no internet. But once I get back to my home airport, it can connect with no problems. Service center cannot find any problems so I got a replacement unit.
Now, connecting to wifi became a thing if the past. Issue now is, my mobile connection requires very frequently on off. Otherwise my WhatsApp will prompt saying I might have new messages. Once I turn off and on my mobile network, messages starts appearing. Seems weird.
Hope someone has a solution for me
Thanks,

There are many posts about this issue. I had it also, but after update to .137 my WiFi issues are gone and SONY says in the changelog "WiFi improvements".

Use Hotspot and wifi Sidesync self

I am trying to use both these features at the same time. Has anyone been able to do this? The problem is sidesync looks for to be connected to wifi to use the feature but the problem is my phone is the router. My phone can talk to my computer just fine but the app itself doesnt realize this. Any thoughts?
Same here =(

wifi connected but no internet

Anyone can help me. I have Sony xperia z5 dual(e6633) and i have problems in connectivity especially on wifi. It always disconnects me from the Internet after several minutes of browsing or any other activities that are using Internet. My router and signal are good there are no problems with other devices connected to my Internet. Now why is it happening to my device. Is it hardware or software issue. It is very annoying because it always disconnect from the Internet. I have to manually turn it off and on again from the setting. Plss, can anyone help me to fix this issue? I'm glad to hear it from you.
Ps: i tried everything i know, from Google to YouTube about how to fix this issue but nothing works. I also tried pc companion repair and software update but still nothing works.
I am currently running android 7.1.1.
Thank you in advance. God bless.
Try to reduce the security in your routers setting. Newer routers provide WPA2+WPA3 and one of my devices can't connect with that! I had to go back to WPA2 (CCMP) [Fritz!Box 7490]
