Does anyone know if MU-MIMO is already on or has anyone heard if it will be turned on? Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 801 supports it and with my new Asus Rt-87 router I would love to use it.

I am not seeing any sites the say 802.11ac MU-MIMO in the specs. Its part of the Snapdragon 801. It connects to 802.11ac fine, I just dont know how you could tell if it was using MU-Mimo.

Very in-depth review. 18min long! She seemed to like it a lot.
Shows video quality and HDMI out along with unboxing.
It got me pretty excited!

It took some hard convincing but I think I'm finally sold mainly due to late release of the Galaxy S2 since I will be needing the phone by August. So HTC here I come.
I can watch videos for this phone all day... thanks for finding one that's 18 minutes long!
*edit*
This was probably the best video review I've seen so far.
9 Mbps up and 3 Mbps down...impressive. Almost LTE-like.
Whats the difference between this and the European version?

1 difference I've noticed is that the US version has 1 more contact point on the back for the antenna

Isn't LTE 100Mbps? Because here in Greece, we have a small area covered with LTE (which expands over time) and they claim that you can get up to 100Mbps if you have an LTE phone or usb modem..

The T-Mobile version might have different UMTS bands. All of the unboxing videos I've seen thus far say it has the 1900 MHz band. It might be a typo, though.

That's the theoretical speeds. Whatever carriers tell you (in the US anyway), is usually theoretical. In actuality, Verzion's LTE network usually gets 10 Mbps up and 5 Mbps down on average.

It may be because it supports the 1700 band for 4G (one extra band than the European) and it needs and extra antenna for it too. Did the reviewer show the back cover from the inside so we can see what's behind the hole?
PS: Please someone tell me how the damn multi-quote works

Oh I see... That's happing here with the HSDPA+ where they advertise speeds up to 21Mbps and I've never got more than 2-3Mbps even when I'm next to a cell tower. I've never tried our LTE network though, because I haven't got any device that supports it (yet).

Yes, the video does show the inside of the back cover so you can see the contacts.
To use multiquote just click on the button on the posts you want to multiquote If you have some form of autopaging on your browser however you need to actually load to the individual pages if the posts are on different pages. It doesn't seem to work over multiple pages (for me at least on Firefox with autopaging add-on), unless I actually load each page, click on the multiquote on the one post, then load the next page and multiquote the next post. You still need to click quote on the last post and then it should add all of the posts into one reply screen.

Same here man. T-Mobile advertises that some of their "4G" phones can get up to 21 Mbps down and I have yet to see anything like that. That's why I'm impressed by 9 Mbps down on the Sensation since it can only get up to 14.4 Mbps down max.

There is something additional in the US Sensation "4G" compared to the EU-Vodafone, its not . I hope we find out before its too late. I really hated it when the TMOUS HD2 had the extras compared to our "lowly" EU models.

MHL Cable. Here's the official one that comes with an HDMI cable. http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=218634 Pretty spendy. I'm sure you can find it way cheaper elsewhere.
Expansys is selling one that is much cheaper than the HTC one.. it also lets you simultaneously charge (just like the HTC dongle)

There is no 4G radio on the US Sensation, it is just capable of 4G speeds (DL14.4/UL5.68)
Im not sure whether there is really difference even in the 3G frequencies, as the european model also supports AWS (1700mhz) in addition to 900/2100 frequencies used in Europe.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the main difference is the marketing name and t-mobile branding.

T-Mobile & AT&T (for now) actually dont have real 4G. They have what they call 4G speeds. It is the same as HSPA+ outside USA.
Both the Sensation & Sensation "4G" on HTC's website & T-mobiles website have the same Internet speeds:
Under Internet: HTC's website for the Sensation list speeds under 3G as Up to 14.4 Mbps download speed and up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed.
T-Mobile's website for the Sensation 4G lists the Internet spped for 4G as Up to 14.4 Mbps download speed and up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed.

Based on photo evidence posted in other threads there's an extra connector (antenna?) on the back cover of the TMO US version of the phone. So, the Euro and US models are different.

This is true, forgot to mention about it. It must be antenna for this 1700mhz frequency which isn't in use in Europe. This whole AWS thing is new to me, as in Europe we don't have such thing. Some wrote here on xda that he imported a euro-version of the phone to USA and it worked fine in t-mobiles network.

I just switched my network to 2.4 ghz N only... still connected so 'n' is still there.
I'll give 5 ghz N a go tomorrow. My main router is on Tomato firmware and i've lost the ability to select 5 ghz... but i have another router that I was planning on using as a 5ghz N only access point (yeah, i'd rather have just one router but it was too cheap, lol). Although, I don't think the Sensation has the ability to use 5 ghz N.
edit: nope, the specs list 802.11 b/g/n. All 2.4 ghz bands. if it had a/b/g/n then it would have been 5 ghz capable.
here in Russia N does not work on Sensation

Hi Everyone,
I seem to be having a real problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 wifi link speed.
I have 3 of these tablets connected to my router.
I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone connected.
The WiFi link speed on the phone is 433 Mbps but none of the tablets will connect above 150 Mbps
All devices are connected via 5Ghz. When I had 2.4Ghz switched on the tablets wouldn't connect above 72 Mbs.
So can anyone please tell me what I need to do to get the speed on that tablets up to similar to tge phone please.
Many Thanks
MP
You're limited by the capabilities of the tablet, not the network. Unfortunately our tablets are old technology so of course your newer s4 connects with better speeds.

Uh oh this could turn highly political on my part. Lets just say you DONT want to live in the US under its current (mis) "management". On the topic of your speed, I haven't found a limit at my current speeds on any of my devices: s3, note 10.1 og, n7 lte, skyrocket, note 2. Only because the most they can get is the 22mbps that is provided me. I'd take your 150 if we even had those speeds offered around here.
