[SOLUTION] HTC Explorer USB Connection Problem - HTC Pico (Explorer)

DISCLAIMER: Iam NOT responsible if something happens to your phone.
Problem Description:
When I connect my HTC Explorer to PC using Data Cable NOTHING HAPPENS ,It Just CHARGES and the Menu doesn't open up.
Even When I tried USB Tethering by going into setings Manually .It says "Unable to Turn On" .I can no longer transfer files from phone to PC .
Have you tried
1. Reinstalling HTC Sync and Drivers
2. Rebooting and Hard Reset
3. Flashing Custom ROM's
4. Using Different Data Cables
But still NO LUCK !!!
First Let's Check Whether it's a Hardware Problem (NOT NECESSARY)
1. Go into Bootloader and then to Fastboot Menu
2. Connect your Phone to PC
3. Now the Phone should Read as "Fastboot USB"
4. Try this Fastboot Command "FASTBOOT DEVICES"
5. If your Phone is Shown in the list ,It's Just a Software Problem and Continue Reading this thread
.If not ,then it's mostly a Hardware Issue
Solution:
1. Download PDANet on your phone (NOT THE APK) (This is for USB Tethering)
2. Connect your Phone using Data cable with Windows Logged On (Nothing will happen)
3. Restart your PC (DONT remove your Phone)
4. As soon as PC starts up ,you'll see the Menu on your Phone that used to appear (You'll see Disk Drive,USB Tetheing....)
5. Make Sure USB Debugging is ON
6. When you're logged into Windows, Select Disk Drive from the Menu on your phone
7. Wait and you're Memory Card will be recoginsed on PC
8. Open PDAnet.exe from Memory Card and Install
USB Tethering will now work (If still not working ,go into settings->wireless and networks->mobile networks->access point names and try changing access point ,then try PDANet again)
This WORKED for me ,:good:
So Next time ,Follow Step 2,3,4 and 5
Then After you log on, Choose Anything you want from Menu on Phone.
I doubt USB Tethering will work directly .But you can use it from PDANet.:good:

Byond B66 root guide

Root the Byond B66
-------Notes--------
1. This does void your warranty.
2. The root image auto installs the superusers permission app
3. I am in no way responsible for anything that goes wrong.
4. Thanks to Bin4ry and for the drivers.
Downloads:
1. USB driver for MT6577
2. USB VCOM driver for MT6577
3. Root_with_restore_Bin4ry_v15.7z
copy paste the link for drivers
ge.tt/7xA9h3a?c
Procedure:
1. Enable USB debugging on your device. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
2. Connect your phone to pc via usb cable, install the USB driver for MT6577. If windows installs the driver automatically, choose update drivers from device manager and install the proper downloaded usb drivers.
3. Now switch off the phone , remove the battery and with device manager open on screen, connect phone to pc via usb cable holding the volume+ button. In device manager you will see MT65xx preloader, choose update driver and install the USB VCOM drivers. Once the drivers are installed, disconnect, put the battery back and on the phone.
4. Enable USB debugging on your phone. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
Connect your phone to PC
Unzip the root tool you downloaded above.
Change the mode of your device from USB Storage to Media Device and proceed further. This change can be done only when you have connected your device to the PC, so don't go mad searching for this option before you have even connected your device. (Thanks RajivMishra13 for the update).
Run the runme.bat file. (Clever naming, eh?)
Click the Runme.bat file
A command prompt with weird green letters will pop-up on your screen.
Follow the onscreen instructions carefully. To start off, you willl need to type in a "1" and press enter.
Note: If you ever want to Unroot your B66, follow the above steps till you reach this one and then, instead of typing "1", type "x" and hit enter. Follow the instructions that appear on the command prompt after that.
The command prompt window with weird green letters: Root by Bin4ry tool
Your device will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
When the green letters in the command prompt says Have Fun!, then... Have fun.
That means, your device is rooted now and you can enjoy Superuser permissions!

Hboot usb plug missing

I just bought a used 64GB HTC One which came rooted. It has several backups on it and tons of folders/files which have consumed half of the storage space. I want to wipe the device so it's like new and I have a fresh build to start with.
Before I mess anything up trying to wipe the device, I want to copy everything over to my PC so I can always restore things if needed. I tried exploring the device and copying the files while the phone was on but Windows sat there forever calculating the time to copy. I'm not even sure if I can copy everything while the device is on since some files may be in use.
Because of this, I thought I read that you can connect through USB by rebooting into the bootloader (white screen which says HBOOT ... is this bootloader?). My plan is to reboot into the bootloader screen, connect USB, copy the files, boot into recovery (TWRP), wipe the entire device, and restore/flash a stock AT&T image; however, the phone never says HBOOT USB PLUG when I plug in the USB cable!!
I installed HTC Sync which recognized the device and installed the drivers (shows up in device manager without any exclamations). I then uninstalled the software. After booting into the bootloader, if I plug the USB cable in, nothing happens; however, when I hit the power button to select FASTBOOT, it changes screens, I hear the device connected sound on Windows, and the device changes from FASTBOOT to FASTBOOT USB.
In the Windows device manager I see Android USB Devices - My HTC. I tried selecting My HTC, update driver software, browse my computer, selecting the Android-USB-Drivers, and it said the best drivers were already installed. I tried to manually select the driver and use have disk to browse the drivers and I get a message saying, "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for 32-bit systems" (I have Windows Vista 32 bit OS). If I hit the power button again and switch back to BOOTLOADER, I hear the windows device disconnected sound and I only see HBOOT.
Is there a reason why it will connect to the PC under FASTBOOT but not under BOOTLOADER? How come I cannot switch drivers ... I thought I read the HTC Sync drivers don't allow the device to connect in HBOOT which is why I'm trying to update them. Do I even need to be in bootloader to copy the device contents or can I copy it all while the device is on? Lastly, do I need to get this connection working prior to wiping the device and trying to flash/restore an image in case I need to move some files back from the PC to the device (not trying to brick the device and not be able to connect it to the PC to transfer files)?
I tried selecting My HTC, updating the drivers to the Android-USB-Driver
Forgot to include these images ... I noticed I have S-On ... do I need S-Off in order to get HBOOT USB PLUG?
Followed a video on Youtube to do S-Off and eliminate tampered with. Still not able to get HBOOT USB PLUG.

MTP crashing Nexus 5?

Anyone else experiencing this:
When I try to copy a lot of files over MTP to my computer eventually it stops with an error message on my computer but then the Nexus 5 screen won't turn on. I have to hold the power button down until it reboots to bring it back.
i had similar problems... mounted as MTP, i tried to copy a bunch of files from the pc to the phone, when the pc suddenly reported "unspecified error" and aborted the copy process. when trying to access the MTP folder again, it said "device disconnected". so i removed the usb cable and plugged it in again, only to find all data has been completely wiped.
Here's how to fix this :
1. Install Nexus Root Toolkit : http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
2. Select your phone and stock rom and accept all the downloads it suggests
3. When you get to a window with clickable buttons, click the large long one at the top (full driver installation guide)
4. Follow the steps carefully
5. You'll have MTP working fine as well as Debugging =)
If it still crashes, I don't know what might be wrong

can't connect to hisuite

Hi, Hisuite application on my pc give me connection failed although i did everything , enabled USB debugging , reinstalled the driver and restarted mylaptop & my phone , installed the latest version of hisuite . so is there any solution for this problem please: ) .
i have huawei mate 7 TL10 and running windows 8.1 on my laptop
i don know if this will help u but you can try to get a new adb driver? just search here
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-TL10
I've the same problem, my head was almost going to breaked from this app, so my suggestion is to follows this steps carefully:
1. Download "Revouninstaller freeware" Not PRO version (select hisuite you've installed, right click, uninstall, select moderate mode to uninstall program from it's root)
2. On your phone activates "Developer mode" by pressing 10-times on "Build Number" located at Phone Settings > About
3. Enable "USB Debugging"
4. Connect your phone to Laptop/PC via "USB cable"
5. Select on your phone "PC Suite"
6. On your laptop/PC, Autorun window with CD logo just close it, Go to "My computer" then "open the virtual CD" then open & install the "HiSuite package" came with your phone.
7. Don't launch the app, Go to install directory of the "HiSuite" in your "Drive C > Program Files" and locate an apk file contains the "HiSuite.Apk"
8. You should send that to your phone via "Bluetooth or E-mail, whatever you wish"
9. On your phone, After copying the apk app Locate that Apk, then install it.
10. Now open it, plug the USB, Now Open the HiSuite App
Don't do anything in the app leave it until it connect automatically by itself.
Note:
A) New Hisuite PC software didn't work with me because i don't have it's HiSuite.Apk of the same version.
B ) If you've installed HiSuite.apk from outside sources than the one came with your phone I suggest you delete from your phone via "App Manager".
C) I will upload my "HiSuite 1.8.10.apk" just in case if yours didn't work or didn't find it BUT Your PC Software should be of the same version I.e. HiSuite 1.8
Download link - http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/HavIU39W/file.html
D) If no option works, close both apps in your phone and Laptop/PC, reopen app on your Phone and select "connect via wireless mode" get the password, open app on your laptop/PC select "wireless mode" type password and press "connect"
Good Luck

idk if anyone had this problem but i had my tablet (m5 mediapro) locked and when i unlocked it everything went perfectly. stupid me, hehe.
How to connect to HiSuite
I could not connect, and landed in this discussion which did not give me any solution.
Then after much reading, I found the solution that unlocked things for me :
1.Go to settings/Developer options, and set "Select USB configuration" as Media Transfer Protocol(MTP)
2. Start Hisuite and lo and behold, now when I enable hdb, I get the dialog to allow hiSuite and am able to click OK.
Note that enabling MTP also made Windows 10 capable to access the phone memory through a window, like a USB stick.
I post this for others in the same predicament, hoping it gives them the solution
thank you very much its working
II have just found hisuit.apk in C programfiles hisuite apk
send it to my self trough email and install it -allowing installation from other sources first(.
After this next connecting was not saying connecting and making loop till the infinity.
thanks a lot
