Root the Byond B66
-------Notes--------
1. This does void your warranty.
2. The root image auto installs the superusers permission app
3. I am in no way responsible for anything that goes wrong.
4. Thanks to Bin4ry and for the drivers.
Downloads:
1. USB driver for MT6577
2. USB VCOM driver for MT6577
3. Root_with_restore_Bin4ry_v15.7z
copy paste the link for drivers
ge.tt/7xA9h3a?c
Procedure:
1. Enable USB debugging on your device. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
2. Connect your phone to pc via usb cable, install the USB driver for MT6577. If windows installs the driver automatically, choose update drivers from device manager and install the proper downloaded usb drivers.
3. Now switch off the phone , remove the battery and with device manager open on screen, connect phone to pc via usb cable holding the volume+ button. In device manager you will see MT65xx preloader, choose update driver and install the USB VCOM drivers. Once the drivers are installed, disconnect, put the battery back and on the phone.
4. Enable USB debugging on your phone. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
Connect your phone to PC
Unzip the root tool you downloaded above.
Change the mode of your device from USB Storage to Media Device and proceed further. This change can be done only when you have connected your device to the PC, so don't go mad searching for this option before you have even connected your device. (Thanks RajivMishra13 for the update).
Run the runme.bat file. (Clever naming, eh?)
Click the Runme.bat file
A command prompt with weird green letters will pop-up on your screen.
Follow the onscreen instructions carefully. To start off, you willl need to type in a "1" and press enter.
Note: If you ever want to Unroot your B66, follow the above steps till you reach this one and then, instead of typing "1", type "x" and hit enter. Follow the instructions that appear on the command prompt after that.
The command prompt window with weird green letters: Root by Bin4ry tool
Your device will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
When the green letters in the command prompt says Have Fun!, then... Have fun.
That means, your device is rooted now and you can enjoy Superuser permissions!

MY ERROR

when running superoneclick and hitting root.
the follow device does not have drivers installed:
android phone USB\VID_1004&PID_618E
Would you like to me forcefully install an Android ADB Interface driver for this device?
If I hit "no" it begins the root and the program freezes after step 2.
I haven't hit yes because I don't know if I this is a good thing.
Unplug your phone from your computer. Download a program called usbdeview. Open the program and it will allow you to see all of the drivers installed on your computer. Delete everything associated with your phone. Make sure USB Debugging is checked and plug your phone back into your computer. This will do a fresh install of all drivers and should also include the drivers for ADB. To check this, open up a CMD window in platform-tools in your SDK folder and type in "adb devices". A serial number for your phone should come up, and if it does, you are good to go.
Have you got lgs drivers installed on pc? I had same problem and had to reinstall driver.

Hi,
I have a very unknown phone from China, the Yusun W808 It is based on a qualcomm MSM8225q chipset. I ordered it from FastCardTech and asked for a Pre-root when I placed the order.
Upon receiving I found out that the phone was not rooted... They only put some instructions on a piece of paper inside the box.
I followed the instructions but as expected, no results...
The instructions
1. Please open usb debugging and connect to your pc.
2. Download USB driver ( Snappea ) and install to your pc, when the phone is recognized, please turn snappea off.
3. Go to task manager and kill wandoujia helper process.
4. Extract root tool to your pc ( The known motochopper tool from djrbliss ) and click run.bat, then press enter on your keyboard, and just wait about 1 min, it will remind you to press enter again and then it shuts down and auto reboot. Meanwhile do not touch anything on your phone or pc or the phone will get bricked.
5.Check menu- if there is a # icon, if yes, it's rooted, or do it again.
The problem is that my phone can't be recognized by my pc. snappea says " cannot get phone stats" and motoshopper wont go further than "Daemon started successfully"
So my first thought is that the problem lies with the usb driver. I have no idea how I can get the right USB driver for this phone
Does someone has any idea how I can continue my quest here?
Thanks in advance

-Installation of the phone mediatek drivers:
-Start with installing th vcom drivers i provided on the rar file, type HDWWIZ on the windows search tab:
Install the hardware manually>Ports(com&lpt)>Have a disk>select the file wich corresponds to you windows>mediatekpreloader usb vcom port> restart your computer. (if this method doesn't work for you try to search for vcom driver installation tutorials)
-Installing adb

Remove the battery from your mobile phone, wait 5s plug it in again. Connect the usb to the computer and pluh it to your phone and at the same time push the power button till it turns on but keep your finger in the VOLUME DOWN all the time, it may reboot 2 times but then you will get the fastboot/repair mode image you can now lift your finger.
When you are in fastboot connected to your computer (the mediatek drivers will install wait for installation to complete).
Now return to the Adb GUI and press the execute command, (it will appear 3 lines starting with something saying error dont mind that it's normal) and wait a few seconds then your phone will restart it self and boot normally.
You're allmost there:
-When your phone boots, select the usb connection to usb mass storage device.
-copy the recovery.img provided to the root of your sdcard, safely unplug the phone from your pc.
-download and install the mobile mtk uncle tools app from the playstore.
-turn off wifi and mobile data, start the app and give it root permission.
-press the recovery update, select the chinese character file that you copied to your sd before and proceed, VERY IMPORTANT when it asks if you want to reboot into recovery select NO.
- get out off the app and restart your device normally, it's all done you have your phone back.
this is my first tutorial on xda, hope it is easy to follow and i'm thankfull for any suggestions to improve it.

Hi, I've followed the instructions you gave and now I'm stucked at the part which it wouldn't reboot by itself after i typed the "fastboot command".
1) Before I've had chance to charge my phone, it ran out of battery and fastboot mode does not charge the phone. I've also tried to flash the recovery image in fastboot mode, but i got Err:0x2017, what is this error about?
2) And the GUI should run in location bin files as my fastboot driver, not the 0KB fastboot in default location.
2) Do all these steps require unlocking bootloader? I don't think I've unlocked, all I did was just root the phone.
Help
Hi
I have a rooted Huawei Ascend Mate but I installed the wrong TWRP recovery a few days ago. My phone keeps booting and I can't use my recovery, because it is a touch version but it doesn't respond to my touch. So, I don't know if I can flash my stock rom or another recovery...
Can I use this tutorial to fix my phone or can you please make one for the Huawei Ascend Mate?
kind regards
Do You Like To Flash Custom Stuffs On Your Android phone? Or Are You A Developer? But You Can't Able To Do It Because You're Facing Some Problems with Your Adb & fastboot. All Of This Problems Are Only Because Of One Thing And That is Drivers.
And If you agree With Anyone Of This Situations Then You're At The Right Place Because Today I Am Going To Tell You That How You Can Install The Adb Drivers For Your Specific Android Phone On Your Pc.
Adb drivers are necessary if you want to flash a android device through Fastboot mode or if you're a android developer. Usually Our PC installs the adb drivers automatically for the specific android device but sometimes it can't so you have to install it manually.
This will also help you to solve adb errors like Device is offline, USB debugging Authorize pop-up not showing in android And etc adb errors. Make sure that your USB debugging option in developer mode is enabled on your Android device Because without this you can't use adb.
Steps:-
*So first go http://adbdriver.com to and download the "adb driver installer (Universal)". Then extract it.
*Now connect your Android phone to your PC using USB cable. Then Open the application.
*Now you will see something like Adb interface drive and with a red Cross at left side. Make sure to refresh if driver option is not shown.
*Now Just Click On install To install your device adb drivers. Then it will Install the adb drivers for your specific android phone in just under 2 minutes.
*Then Allow The USB debugging On your Android phone. Then the adb drivers will get successfully installed.
*If still adb can't recognize your device then try to connect your phone in PTP Mode instead of MTP or Charging only modes.
*If still it doesn't work for you then Revoke USB debugging Authorizations in developer mode. So that's how you can install the adb drivers for your Android Phone.
