I have a cheap tablet (E-Board HT400) which didn't come with stock root and I couldn't find a way to root it. I've also posted a thread some time ago but I guess nobody can help that.
Anyway I have 1GB of RAM. Even after I kill ALL the tasks and close everything I only have MAX 300MB. Of 1GB... I can't play bigger games or apps. Without enough RAM they just crash.
If anybody knows a good way to get rid of unnecessary apps without root, gaing root for a 4.2.2 tablet or a good way to free up more RAM I would really appreciate his or her help!
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Xda haven't forum about this device and I've seen that you had posted outside xda about your request, without answers.
I'm really sorry but I don't how can I help you.
I've tried to find something but no way about a root for your device.

Anyway sorry for my ignorance but what are root updates contain? What do they do to grant me root rights? Aren't they good for any device on the same version? I mean if it's good for a Samsung 4.2.2 is it good for my 4.2.2 device?

It's not the problem in your ram, the problem is in your processor, it's weak. I tested on a couple of phones the same app, on the weaker phones and tablets, it just crashed, on stronger ones it ran smoothly. Android runs each app in a vm, and (i think that each vm is allowed a max of 128 mb.) the ram shouldn't be the problem.

Howdee,
I'm _really_ interested in this one and over at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383695 it does not seem as if anybody would tackle the Orbit2 anytime soon...
Therefore, does anybody know how to get Android running on the Polaris/Orbit2 and or can point me into the right direction as how to create images for this device? Would anybody be interested in teaming up and putting some effort into this and try to get Andoid running on our device?
There ist already a thread.

Thanks for the update. Would you know when this will be (or where I can get info on this?)
As far as I know manufacturers plan to release Android phones before september... also Google stated that they'll release the 1.0 source when the first phone hits the market...
Also the recent demo videos show even more of the OS, and I'd say it somewhere near pre-beta or closed beta testing... and there's the second round of the ADC...
For what the day of the actual release will be no one knows... my estimation is around september-october...

Thanks again! ;-)
Do you think Android will stably run on the Polaris anyways? I might be wrong here, but doesn't this depend on the SDK actually supporting the Polaris? I figure that e.g. there will be a ton of drivers missing...
The SKD and the real Android distro are and will be 2 different things.
It doesn't realy matter on which device you can port the SDK to, it'll stay the SDK and won't be a fully functional Android distro... Android will be able to run on any device that has a 200 MHz processor, 32 MB Flash memory and 32 MB RAM, and I doubt that the SDK is capeable of running whith these parameters.
So don't waste your time whith the SDK (unless you're writing apps for Android).
Also the first implemented drivers for Android are the drivers for the MSM 7200 chipset, so we can expect a boost in overall performance for a change.

Greetings,
I'm looking for a way to upload any version of Android OS onto phone listed on the title's thread. I'm really disappointed that it runs on Symbian.
Telling me to sell it and buy other one won't work, because I tried it right after I bought it and noone was interested.
Help me however it's possible.
Thanks in advance.
That's possible?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Well... I still hope it's possible, there must be a way to install it somehow onto this whatever good phone. It can be the lightest version to fit in about 60 MB of phone memory, but I need to replace Symbian.
Is there any possibility of installing any version of Android in about 50 MB of phone memory? I need an advice how to replace Symbian OS.
Please help.
nooooo...not possible in any scenario..
I think it can be possible for a very damn stubborn programmer. I think all I need is someone like this and someone who would exchange my phone's 75 MB memory to about 512 MB. I'm very stubborn, but my knowledge is not enough...

Okay, I've just realised that I was wrong in my reply above.
My phone's memory specification is: 75 MB, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, so I think we can install any modified version of Android in the ROM, with qualified specialist or anyone who knows how to replace software in phones.
After short reflections I think it's possible, we just need to modify Android to work perfectly on Vivaz Pro and to support everything that's in this phone (screen resolution, accelerometer, 5.1 MPix camera, hardware keyboard, etc...).

Do you mean Android developers? Or those gathered in this forum?

Hello,

Version 1.2 (an APK I found online) boots, but it just says ''Is your time correct'' or something like that.
Is there anyone with the same problem that could help me?
GooApple:
Operating System: Android 2.3 OS
Processor: MTK MT6573 650MHz, work on 800MHz clock
Built-in Memory: 512MB ROM / 512MB RAM
I've got the 32GB model, so space on the phone isn't the problem.
Thanks

When you say "an APK I found online" - you mean a pirated copy of the software? You won't get help here - XDA does not condone software iracy and won't tolerate it being discussed on the forums.

Actually, I'd just like to know if someone got this to work on the GooApple V5 3G, pirated or not (I'm not asking for a link or anything, I'd just like a simple How-To because I'm not that good with Android.)
I want to buy the game but I need to know if it works because I don't want to waste money on an Awesome game that I can't even play.
Thanks.:good:
Actually I get the same time message on my Legit copy when I try to move it to my watch.
Even if you got it working, the MTK6573 chipset at only 800mhz is definitely not enough power to run it

The way you worded that ("APK found online") sounds awfully suspicious and not like the app was obtained legitimately. Since XDA does not condone any kind of discussion of warez, I'm closing this thread. If you in fact do have a legitimate copy, PM me.
I'm asking this question for a friend that has this tablet:
Does anyone know if there's anyway to improve the RAM of the Tab 3 (7.0). Since this is a Linux type kernel can you do swap space like a normal Linux OS or is there something that can be done? I have already rooted the device for him and froze/deleted all the bloatware apps. He is attempting to play Shadowrun returns which requires 1 GB of ram to function properly. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. He is looking for something to do to prevent having to buy another tablet.

I ordered this exact tablet last week and it just came in the mail. It's an impressive piece of hardware with very little bloatware out of the box, but Jellybean takes up a lot of RAM by default (1/2 is being used just by the thing being turned on). I'd like to figure out the best method to root it at least, though my ideal goal is to put a ROM of an earlier release of the Android OS on it, I'm quite partial to Gingerbread to be entirely honest since it tends to use a lot less RAM and CPU power to run on similar hardware I've used before.
EDIT: Hopefully someone with actual experience can look into rooting this tablet, I tried using some typical "generic Android tablet root" techniques and nothing is working.
How to root Hannspree Quad Core 10.1" Model SN1AT71BUE
Hi. Could anyone tell me how to root Hannspree Quad Core 10.1" Model SN1AT71BUE ? I just bought it for several days. There is something wrong for restart after I installed some Apps from Google play and play some of them to change the default settings. I got kinda suckered into buying one of you too. They were so cheap so I figured why not. My main complaints are that the operating system seems to be the part that's making it so laggy. When it's actually performing a task it works fairly well. I use NHL GameCenter and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the streaming for work. SwiftKey keyboard is really laggy and unusable entirely. Also, Chrome seems to be impossible to use because of the lag. Other than that though everything else seems to run fairly smooth so I think it's more of an operating system issue than power issue. The battery is good it sounds good the screen is OK touch screen works...but if I can't use chrome or watch NHL games,I might have to return it.

Tablet seems to perform fairly well in games but is laggy at times on web surfing. As the previous poster noted Chrome is almost unusable it is so laggy. Video apps seem to perform well after they load up. If an item is being downloaded in the background tablet is very laggy. I tend to agree with the previous poster that the main problem is the operating system. Maybe an update to 4.3 will come soon and improve performance.

Yeah I noticed the background downloading slowing it to a crawl. I think that's an issue with the kernel or memory read speed. There are some tweaks that we will be able to do once a working recovery is available that will fix that. Network speed too. I speed checked it and im getting 35mbs so the issue isn't the WiFi unit itself, its just software. I'm hoping somebody will make a nice custom ROM for us

nothing out yet...it's just the os on it that sucks...just upgraded to 4.2.2 and it even slower...once theres a rom it will eliminate all the bloat in it...just hold on to it and wait...you will not get a quad core for that price...
Its a really terrible a5 based quad-core.. A dual core a9 would run circles around it. There isn't really any bloat in the rom, they didn't do much of anything to it. No custom rom is gonna upgrade the cpu or craptastic generic gpu. If you can return it, go do that. If you can't, I'm sorry, but it's never going to respond like an a9. It sucks that actions is full of lies, and Hannspree bought them, and retailers don't care what they are selling you.
