Greetings,
I'm looking for a way to upload any version of Android OS onto phone listed on the title's thread. I'm really disappointed that it runs on Symbian.
Telling me to sell it and buy other one won't work, because I tried it right after I bought it and noone was interested.
Help me however it's possible.
Thanks in advance.
That's possible?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Well... I still hope it's possible, there must be a way to install it somehow onto this whatever good phone. It can be the lightest version to fit in about 60 MB of phone memory, but I need to replace Symbian.
Is there any possibility of installing any version of Android in about 50 MB of phone memory? I need an advice how to replace Symbian OS.
Please help.
nooooo...not possible in any scenario..
I think it can be possible for a very damn stubborn programmer. I think all I need is someone like this and someone who would exchange my phone's 75 MB memory to about 512 MB. I'm very stubborn, but my knowledge is not enough...

Okay, I've just realised that I was wrong in my reply above.
My phone's memory specification is: 75 MB, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, so I think we can install any modified version of Android in the ROM, with qualified specialist or anyone who knows how to replace software in phones.
After short reflections I think it's possible, we just need to modify Android to work perfectly on Vivaz Pro and to support everything that's in this phone (screen resolution, accelerometer, 5.1 MPix camera, hardware keyboard, etc...).
write to developers
Do you mean Android developers? Or those gathered in this forum?
please some body help me
anyone ever install a Dalvik virtual machine on Vivas
I dream of android can runing on Vivaz
thanks for the answer

As the title suggests, I am wondering whether anyone has the G4 device ram upgraded, and successfully run on any of the rom that claimed to support 128MB ram on the G4 yet???
Can your G4 recognise and use the whole 128MB of the new ram? Any issue experienced, if any?
So far, I have not heard from anyone with the G4 experience yet. If there are someone who have done that, please please kindly share your information.
Thank very much in advance!
***G4 devices are those with bootloader version 2.xx.***
Helloooo.....
Is there really no one???
You'll have to wait more than a day to get response from 128MB G4 users. I gather there are not that many here!
See if this works for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=348567
Thanks a lot Zeeshansohail. I will be more patient and keep checking.
Best.
128MB Ram working on G4!
As the title suggests, I've had my G4 upgraded and now it's working well with this extra muscle, my phone now has 84MB after soft reset. I am currently using L&B 2.09.01+. Big thanks for all the developers here who have made all these possible, especially to Mamaich for his discovery, those who have worked to make it work on G4 (Beasts and many others), rom cookers who have integrated this feature into their great roms (Leo, Beasts, and many others).
Is there someone doing the RAM upgrades out there or is this more a case of Do It Yourself?
I think you just need upgrade your ROM to one of those with 124MB RAM, then it will take part of your unused ROM to be converted to RAM.
Haven't tried myself, will do it once I have some time to upgrade and re-install all my applications

No. You will have to solder new ram chips. Please read wiki and other threads here on this site.
sorry my bad .. had wrong idea about this 128M RAM ..
mctoey is right, we need to solder the RAM chips ..
Hi everyone,
I have been reading on these forums and it seems like the developers have done a very nice job with custom roms(got to love opensource community).
I got a g-tablet and was wondering if it is possible upgrade the ram in the tablet. Let me know if anyone has opened there tablet up and have looked at the hardware inside and maybe post couple of pics of the layout of the hardware.

Here you go.
This thread is a good place to start:

Kind of a repost; you just needed a ***bump***

Anyway... Yes it is possible.
From what i have heard, g tab got two slots of ram and just used one with the 512kb. The problem here, like i posted 5 minutes ago, is that current roms dont support more ram than 512kb. Maybe with honeycomb release and its requirements we finally get the support for extra ram in our devices.
Cheer for the mods and lets wait a little longer for the honeycream AOSP and a port for g tablet.
It's not two slots of ram it's more like the x-box ram upgrade.
so does anyone have pics of what the ram actually looks like? And is it possible to purchase from the market?

It is *NOT* possible to upgrade the ram, period, end of story.
(yes, it's possible, but if you have to ask, you can't do it. extreme soldering skill required)
I have a cheap tablet (E-Board HT400) which didn't come with stock root and I couldn't find a way to root it. I've also posted a thread some time ago but I guess nobody can help that.
Anyway I have 1GB of RAM. Even after I kill ALL the tasks and close everything I only have MAX 300MB. Of 1GB... I can't play bigger games or apps. Without enough RAM they just crash.
If anybody knows a good way to get rid of unnecessary apps without root, gaing root for a 4.2.2 tablet or a good way to free up more RAM I would really appreciate his or her help!
Thanks in advance!

Yeah I know it's not the latest one, but I didn't think it was this old...
Anyway sorry for my ignorance but what are root updates contain? What do they do to grant me root rights? Aren't they good for any device on the same version? I mean if it's good for a Samsung 4.2.2 is it good for my 4.2.2 device?

It's not the problem in your ram, the problem is in your processor, it's weak. I tested on a couple of phones the same app, on the weaker phones and tablets, it just crashed, on stronger ones it ran smoothly. Android runs each app in a vm, and (i think that each vm is allowed a max of 128 mb.) the ram shouldn't be the problem.

As I feel l have a ridiculously small free RAM...
But you may be right. Games made by Rockstar won't launch... GTA III, GTA:VC, GTA:SA, and Max Payne will crash. I can get to the Live page on SA but not further.

Bacause they offer the same sime site for a bunch of mobiles, espesially in cases that the "offered" conent can't be found on teh internet but only there. E.g. update phone's to lollipop that never will get such an update, not now and not later. Its just about clicking their links to let them earn money but they'll never provide what they tell you. On the bottom are ALWAYS exact 3 feedbacks. "Working great". I landed there a couple of times while googeling things for xda
BUT feel free to do whatever yoh like I really wan't to between you and your luck ...

OK thanks for the post, me too it seemed unrealistic, because Android 5.0 Lollipop has a minimum 1 GB of RAM, a Sony Ericssson Vivaz, has 256 MB RAM 512 MB ROM.
In that case, I reiterate your request. What tool (program) or another way, maybe some code I can unlock the bootloader in the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, to install another Fimeware, with another system, such as CyanogenMod Android?

Android runs well with 512MB ram thats not the point. BUT you can't run android on it. The phone is made for a totally different OS. You won't even get android compatible hardware drivers or anything else AND the phone's hardware won't be able to run android at all.

My friend has a Nokia N8, which also originally, has on board Symbian, which has put CyanoMod Android version 2.2 or 2.3. The Nokia N8 has the same amount of RAM 256 MB and 512 MB ROM, the same amount as the Vivaz. Differs only capacity onboard memory, the N8 has 16 GB, the Vivaz is on drive C, 77 MB, and on drive D 148 MB, it is still hard. N8, processor ARM11 680 MHz double-pumped, the Vivaz is a ARM8 Cortex, clocked at 720 MHz. Vivaz sees memory card micro SDXC 64 GB, no problem. I currently have a memory card 32 GB Micro SDHC card.
I very kindly asking you for help, how to unlock bootloader in Sony Ericsson Vivaz?
Please tutorial, how it can be done, maybe it is possible to install CyanoMod Android, on the memory card, as it would have been enough space in the phone memory.

I CAN'T find anything about Nokia N8 and Cyanogenmod. You must be wrong. All in all its like that:
Community roms need a community and people who develop and maintain the roms, which regulary are people who own and use the phone themselves. No one will on request start a development (for free) that may take weeks or month if he has no benefit from it. Your phone might still be solid but its technically outdated. And there is and there will be no android for it. If you want to use android, go for a second hand phone.
I suppose this the actual tablet specdevice.com/showspec.php?id=9340-1a26-6182-ef500033c587 it was advertised as a 128 gb, 8 gb, octa core, after a factory reset it showed 12 gb memory but still 8 gb ram(think this is actually 1 gb ), still thinking its on android 9, while in reality it is something along the lines of of android 5, i would like for someone to help walk me through how to flash it with a proper OS that is not sorrupted with malware/virusesIve read and read and tried but i keep failing Thank you in advance

Well in order to do that we would need the source code of the tablet, which is not available anywhere around for your tablet. I'm sorry to announce that you got scammed like every other people buying cheap chinese tablets. I know the price is quite interesting but you'll always end up losing your money with these sellers. So if you really want a tablet just go for verified brands, and do not buy from aliexpress or marketplaces like that.
