Grand Theft Auto III on GooApple V5 3G - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I can't get this app to work, it just blackscreens.
Version 1.2 (an APK I found online) boots, but it just says ''Is your time correct'' or something like that.
Is there anyone with the same problem that could help me?
GooApple:
Operating System: Android 2.3 OS
Processor: MTK MT6573 650MHz, work on 800MHz clock
Built-in Memory: 512MB ROM / 512MB RAM
I've got the 32GB model, so space on the phone isn't the problem.
Thanks

When you say "an APK I found online" - you mean a pirated copy of the software? You won't get help here - XDA does not condone software iracy and won't tolerate it being discussed on the forums.

Actually, I'd just like to know if someone got this to work on the GooApple V5 3G, pirated or not (I'm not asking for a link or anything, I'd just like a simple How-To because I'm not that good with Android.)
I want to buy the game but I need to know if it works because I don't want to waste money on an Awesome game that I can't even play.
Thanks.:good:

Actually I get the same time message on my Legit copy when I try to move it to my watch.

Even if you got it working, the MTK6573 chipset at only 800mhz is definitely not enough power to run it

The way you worded that ("APK found online") sounds awfully suspicious and not like the app was obtained legitimately. Since XDA does not condone any kind of discussion of warez, I'm closing this thread. If you in fact do have a legitimate copy, PM me.

Flash 10.2 Leak

Has anyone had any luck getting the leaked 10.2 Flash player on Hero CDMA? If so, could you share what you did to get it working and what setup you have? If you followed a specific forum post, could you link it? I have searched but none of the forum posts here I've tried have worked.
I've tried changing the user agent in the browser, however, I could not find 'Desktop' as some of the other posts have suggested. At this point, I've tried installing the leaked version directly: no joy.
I'm running CM7 RC2 with no mods at the moment.
Here is the link I used for the leaked Flash 10.2:
http://www.crunchitech.com/2011/03/15/download-flash-player-leak-version-10-2-for-android-2-22-33-0/
its not going to work, never will the reason why has been answered on here atleast 100000000000000000000 times, good find but wasted in here
ARMv6 vs. ARMv7 = Adobe refuses to set compiler flags.

I should have been less specific in my use of the search tool. You are right. Hero is ARMv6 and Flash is compiled for ARMv7. Oh well, thanks for at least replying to me.
Now it would be nice if there was a module you could load into memory that would do machine code translation from v7 to v6... at least make it runable/compatible or make v7 programs 'think' they are running on v7. I'm sure that what be a nightmare of processor faults. And if it did run, it probably wouldn't be fast at all. Perhaps a v7 virtual machine? Again, another pipe dream because the Hero has less memory than a 486.
It's Adobe's fault anyway. A v6 plugin would not be hard to compile from the source. Just set the compiler flags and go. Grrr.
Thanks again.
Your right it probably wouldn't be hard but I think they did it this way because on the hardware acceleration side phones with v7 usually have the resources to spare to make flash run smoothly even flash lite is clunky at times on our v6 phones
They will chalk it up to delivering a consistent experience on their supported devices

Unfortunately, the ARMv7 logic doesn't hold much truth as I was not able to run flash on my Samsung moment. I think there may be more factors involved.

samsung moment is ARM11 which is ARMv6... not v7
I learned this one the hard way...
At first glance, ARM chip designations can be confusing but the difference is the ARM Family version vs. ARM Architecture version:
Note that architecture version names contain a 'v' and the family version names do not:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_processor#ARM_cores
The Hero and Moment are ARMv6 architecture whereas newer phones are ARMv7.
It sucks, d00d! You are SOL just like me and many other Hero owners.
EDIT: Technically: The one notable exception to the 'v' observation is the ARMv5TE: Bulverde. But, heh, it works for me.

The Samsung SPH-M900 (Moment) processor is an ARM11 Family, ARMv6 Architecture CPU:

[Completed] Increase RAM without ROOT?

I have a cheap tablet (E-Board HT400) which didn't come with stock root and I couldn't find a way to root it. I've also posted a thread some time ago but I guess nobody can help that.
Anyway I have 1GB of RAM. Even after I kill ALL the tasks and close everything I only have MAX 300MB. Of 1GB... I can't play bigger games or apps. Without enough RAM they just crash.
If anybody knows a good way to get rid of unnecessary apps without root, gaing root for a 4.2.2 tablet or a good way to free up more RAM I would really appreciate his or her help!
Thanks in advance!

Yeah I know it's not the latest one, but I didn't think it was this old...
Anyway sorry for my ignorance but what are root updates contain? What do they do to grant me root rights? Aren't they good for any device on the same version? I mean if it's good for a Samsung 4.2.2 is it good for my 4.2.2 device?

It's not the problem in your ram, the problem is in your processor, it's weak. I tested on a couple of phones the same app, on the weaker phones and tablets, it just crashed, on stronger ones it ran smoothly. Android runs each app in a vm, and (i think that each vm is allowed a max of 128 mb.) the ram shouldn't be the problem.

Hi,
It's really unlikely to find a ROM for not popular device, so this unbranded tablet have very little chance to have a custom ROM. Developers usually buy phone they enjoy because of the experience the phone offers, those are usually flagship or at least phones from known brand like Motorola , Google , OnePlus,...
So even if you find the name, I doubt you'll find anything...
Edit #1:
Providing the link from where you bought it would be very helpful to identify the device, please provide it
Hope you still have a good day lol

No, what you have is a device that is "hacked" together with whatever they could use. This means you will not find anything to make the device function any better. Most importantly, the device has old hardware that wouldn't be able to use newer software even if you did find a way to install something newer.
For future reference, don't waste your money on cheap tablets, you get what you pay for......complete junk. Buy branded tablets only and even then, don't buy the cheap chinese brands.

Ok, sorry for not being that aware about scams. I bought it from here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-1-8G-51...hash=item48e58f80b0:m:mApkEvL0mPOieHk9wvI4EVA
And i paid extra 37$ for transportation to my country, so if this you consider it cheap around 117$ as a total payment as i thought it was a good deal.
Now if i am asking for help in XDA because there are many engineers and experienced people who may have the solution for this.
I hope they can read me..

The point I was making is, no one can do anything for or with your device. There are many reasons why I say this, but, I'm not going to list those reasons. Just take my word for it, I've been a member of this website for years and I've seen many unbranded cloned devices that didn't have what they were listed as when they were bought. These devices do not have stock source code available to the public, this means that custom ROMs can not be built for the device because stock source code is required to build them. They also do not have stock firmware available to the public, which means you can't port a ROM or firmware from a similar device because your stock firmware is required to port a ROM or firmware.
On top of that, even if the stock source and stock firmware were available, you wouldn't find anyone to build anything for you unless you donated one of these tablets to them in order to use it to build and test what they build. Also, no developer would have any interest in trying to build anything for this device.
Even if you did find a way of updating the device to something newer, it would be very slow, it would have poor performance, it would be glitchy, buggy and possibly even freeze or randomly reboot.
Like I said, a complete waste of time. Get a better tablet if you want to use anything from XDA.
Just accept it, there is nothing you can do with this tablet to make it better.

Fine i got the message, but browse on ebay and you will see many suppliers are selling such fake Tablets. I have been buying many items from ebay and never have i been scammed as i am now. I thought ebay is a reputable company and does not allow fake sellers. I have reported to ebay this scam hopefully they will react and forbid such suppliers to croock the buyers like me and others. In my opinion and since XDA is known for its qualifications in softwares and hardwares, they should get ready to find solutions for these unbranded tablets since they are increasing in sales and many have fallen into them. It's just my opinion.

Lol, XDA should get ready? You think it is XDA's "responsibility" to offer software for devices like this? Your opinion is incorrect and way off the mark.
You don't understand what XDA is, that isn't how it works here. XDA itself is not who comes up with the software here, this is just the place where it gets posted. The individual members and developers here are the ones that create the software that you find here, then they post it here for others to share and they only build for the devices they personally own. Developers have no interest in owning or building for devices like yours, people with that kind of knowledge and skill do not buy those kinds of devices. This is not an end-user software support forum, this is a DEVELOPMENT forum. Everyone here are just volunteers, it is not a job, the developers here are just members like you and I, the difference is, they are members that have knowledge of how to modify android software and they share what they create here. There is not a team of people here sitting around creating software for every device on the market. This website started out as a "developer only" website where developers could share their works and resources with each other or discuss aspects of development, at some point, they decided to allow the public to have access to the forum. They didn't "have" to do this, they "chose" to do this. This place is about sharing development, not creating solutions for everybody that needs a solution. If you see a cheap off brand device here that has ROMs, it is because a user that owned one could not find anything here and decided to take it upon themselves to learn how to build a ROM for their device, then they shared it here, it is not done by a "developer", it is done by a "member" that chose to learn how to develop for their own device. You would sooner find a solution by following their example than you would by "expecting" XDA to do it for you.
You actually thought you were going to get a tablet with specs like that for less than $100? You can't get a decent tablet with specs like that for $400, much less $100.
Don't buy anything that ships from China on eBay, everything from there is a "knock-off", I mean everything, not just electronics, anyone familiar with eBay knows that and don't buy from AliExpress or Wish either. Don't buy anything that has a Mediatek CPU, the specs listed for your tablet say its CPU is MT6582/MT6797, that is MTxxxx CPU=Mediatek. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. You know the old saying "buyer beware". Take it as a lesson learned.

Don't buy anything that has a Mediatek CPU, the specs listed for your tablet say its CPU is MT6582/MT6797, that is Mediatek. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. You know the old saying "buyer beware". Take it as a lesson learned.

Apparently you are being ironic and sarcastic in terms of trying to be wise and criticizing me by purchasing this tablet and not knowing who i am and to whom you are talking to. It is not because i am asking for help i need to read this patronizing and insignificant comments of yours. Don't be in your own box, think out of it because this might happen to your friend or relatives.
Now i was writing to members who have the same issues and not to you. So give your philosophical comments to someone else.

No, I was telling you how things actually work around here, because what I posted is how this site functions and what its purpose is. None of it was to be rude, it was to be informative in a matter-of-fact manner.
The difference is, I was posting based on what XDA actually is and you are posting based on what you hoped it was.

I need a custom rom for unbranded Chinese tablet TAB910 mt679
Raiz said:
Hi,
It's really unlikely to find a ROM for not popular device, so this unbranded tablet have very little chance to have a custom ROM.

That isn't very helpful because those specs are faked.

First thank you for your replay and can you tell me what will be helpful to get a rom for this tablet?
I have finished reading a thread on XDA with 46 pages continue for one year about another model of same tablet but runs on mt6582. In your opinion is this rom posted in last page of that thread can be matched with my tablet. I did not try.

No, you need to verify exactly which CPU series you have, I wouldn't trust what the software is saying it is. I would open the device to physically look at the CPU to see what series it is. Once you establish which processor you have, then you can try finding a firmware for another device that has the same CPU. But, there is more to it than just having the same CPU, the devices need to have the same screen resolution, the same size internal storage, the same RAM, same camera, etc... If any of the hardware components are different, the firmware probably won't work. To be honest, I really don't think you will find anything to work and if you do find something that somewhat works, you will probably have to make modifications to the firmware to get everything to work like it is supposed to.
To all of you asking/looking for a firmware from another device to use on this one, to put it in perspective, realistically, you all have about a 10% chance of finding something that works. That is a 90%(or more) chance of failing.
My point is, it isn't worth the time or the effort because even if you do find something to flash, it probably won't be exactly correct. There will be features and functions that don't work correctly, the device will probably be glitchy/sluggish and many other probable issues.
This device just is not worth it, in the end, you will have put in a lot of time, effort, headaches and hair-pulling into trying to improve the device only to not be satisfied with the results.

Root/Roms for Mode MP1 phone

I got a Mode MP1 phone (Dual Sim) which is supposed to pay for ads and watching videos, etc. I am trying to get rid of the stock ad-filled rom. Searched and couldn't find much for that phone.
Device Name: MP1
Model: MD_G1212U
Build Number: EarnUI_1.4
It appears to be a generic CN phone, looking on google search and finding other different brands that looks identical. Any help is appreciated.
Heap of junk. I saw the ads as well and figured id take it for a spin see what the phone was like and if there was ever a chance any money could be made off it. Ive had it for months now and its collecting dust. Should tell you how much i like it. However I guess im going to go through with learning its chipset though as UNISOC / Spreadstrum chipsets are new to me. I read they are super easy to work with and build for. As for firmware and rom's if i find anything or build something ill let it be known here.
EDIT: The phone is actually a branded Veviview or something like this.. I forget the name. I don't have a diag readout in front of me from Hydra Tools else i could tell you.
Yeah, I tried it and it is loaded with ads. I am hoping I can root to clean most of this at least or a whole rom of someone else has it.
I have the same phone. Had this since July of 2021 and barely made $60 now, but I barely use it besides watching my movies from my plex server...
I was wondering how I would go about pulling the from of the phone for general backup purposes and maybe be able to get a root for the device. I know a lot of china devices are based on other similar devices and was figuring we would be able to get SOMETHING ported to this phone instead of letting it stay an ad-ridden heap of crap. Rather debloat and slim this phone up, maybe port a rom from another device to it.
Besides all that, this is what I have from the device so far through AIDE64 (left a few things out that I figure were non-essential):
Android Ver: 10 (Quince Tart)
API Lev: 29
And Sec Patch: 2021-08-05
BuildID: EarnUI_1.3.1

Bluetooth: 4.0+
Wi-Fi: 2.4GHz (only; with support for Wi-Fi Direct)
SoC: Unisoc SC9863A
Core Arch: 8x ARM Cortex-A55 @ 1600MHz
Manuf Process: 28nm
Instruction Set: 64-bit ARMv8-A
CPU Rev: r1p0
CPU Cores: 8
CPU Clock range: 768-1600MHz (Cores 1-4 are 768MHz each | Cores 5-8 are 1600MHz each)
Scaling Gov: schedutil
GPU: PowerVR Rogue GE8322
Pixel Density: 329dpi (xdpi @300 and ydpi @336)
Screen Res: 720 x 1600
Refresh Rate: 60Hz
GPU Ver: OpenGL ES 3.2 Build [email protected]
Battery: 2900mAh (as reported by Android)
From what I have figured, getting into the device would mean we would have to use the SPD Upgrade Tool or SPD Research Tool? Im familiar with MediaTek devices, kinda, but this chipset is raw territory for me. Mediatek allowed you to pull your whole from as a ROM0 backup and then there were tools to be able to unpack it also. SPD seems to NEED the firmware.pac? Not exactly sure.
If someone can point the way, I'm willing to make a 1:1 of the from and post it if possible.
Thanks in advance, and if nothing can be done, at least there is some more info on this phone.

Haven't found anything or had a moment to toy around with the device. It's sitting collecting dust at the moment. Has a strange rebooting issue. Reboots at random and last i checked every 20 seconds after booted up.
Hello guys did any one know if i can do FRP for Mode MP1 and where?
I sold mine as phone is too slow for me. However If I do get it back / buy a new one I will look into working on it. Although during its lifetime here I did get some very cool "access to area" abilities on that SOC.
