Speakers - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has the Nexus 5 got 2 speakers? When playing games I usually end up covering the holes. When I cover the left ones it goes really quiet, but the right ones makes no difference.

Hi,
Nope, there's only one speaker so it's normal... And you found on what side it is

Just the one. The other is a mic. I guess technically the earpiece is a speaker as well

Speakers

Ok so I have just noticed that my g2x only puts out sound through the speaker on the right and not the left. If i play a song and cover the right speaker you can tell.
One of the holes is a microphone and the other is a speaker. So only sound plays through one of the holes

Deleted.
Sorry, why exactly? while in my pocket the back cover popped up with the headphone jack and got lodged between the screen and backcover, i put it back and everything works execpt the jack is a bit wobbly.

I got mine a few days ago and noticed that the jack clicks forward and back from the box. I wouldn't say its wobbly though and if you move it there isn't any change in audio. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Don't return it, Google doesn't cover that. They will charge you again full price. Better to just buy new parts and replace or bring it for repairs at a cell repair shop.

Nexus 5 creaking

Hello everyone. I have a nexus and I've noticed there is creaking around my flash and I was wondering if you guys have experienced the same. I also can see a noticeable gap between the top Camara lens and the backplate and I was also wondering if its just me or you guys as well

Build quality

My power button is almost flush with the rest of the edge of the tablet. Is that normal?
Left speaker cover also has some play in it. Wondering if I should go get another unit.
The power button should be flush, but there shouldn't be any movement in the speaker grills

Thanks. Not trying to be picky but it was an expensive tablet and I tend to keep devices for a while.
At this price you shouldn't keep anything that isn't built correctly.

Poor sound quality during phone calls for opposite party

Hi,
I am having a problem when making phone calls. The opposite party is complaining that my sound is always breaking up. However, if I use a headphone, a Bluetooth headset or if the phone is on the speaker mode then the sound quality is good. The sound quality is bad only when I use the phone with the ear piece of the device. Is anyone else having this problem?

If you are using a Lifeproof case or a Mophie Charge Force battery case then that might be your problem. I experienced the same but it was the case.
