Sorry, why exactly? while in my pocket the back cover popped up with the headphone jack and got lodged between the screen and backcover, i put it back and everything works execpt the jack is a bit wobbly.

I got mine a few days ago and noticed that the jack clicks forward and back from the box. I wouldn't say its wobbly though and if you move it there isn't any change in audio. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Don't return it, Google doesn't cover that. They will charge you again full price. Better to just buy new parts and replace or bring it for repairs at a cell repair shop.

Okay, thank you it's not a big deal then, its headphone jack works perfectly but got a small wiggle to it.

I wish somebody would just make a plastic back cover. It would be much more durable.

I agree that you should spend the extra $30 and get a complete unit but to answer your question the first one is the back cover and the second one looks to be just the glass that would sit inside the frame.

Yeah I'm surprised this hasn't come about, though I assume it's because of the complexity inherent in swapping the back.
I'm attempting a battery door mod on the original case that will allow me to change out the battery whenever i want with a charged one.
I have filed out enough space to remove the battery from the case while the case is still on. There will be a little piece of ribbon at the right that will life the battery out.
The NFC and qi chips will be attached to a piece of plastic with Velcro on it so that when when you pull it from the case the NFC and qi chip will be attached to that piece of plastic and will allow me to remove the battery.
I am planning on finishing the case and the battery door in leather.
One thing I'm having trouble working out is how I would be able to charge the nexus 4 battery without it being inside the phone. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Cheers
Steven

I have used this for several different phone batteries and has worked well with all of them.

That looks really cool but I'm not sure if it would work. The nexus 4 battery has a rather strange connector on it. See pic.

Hmm. Yeah I guess I never saw the Nexus 4 battery out of the phone to see if it had the same gold connectors. It looks like these people have a way, but it doesn't seem very convenient.

Ok so I've mocked up a prototype. The concept works just need to get it looking a little better with the help of either some cut sign vinyl or leather glued to it. Have a look and tell me what you think
PS. I put a little piece of leather under the NFC chip to raise it slightly to make the connection with the added height. Works great!

Just had a though. A clip on case on the back might do the trick to hide some of the rough bits lol.

Greetings,
I have a question regarding the protruding camera. When the phone is laying flat on a desk, I assume the desk has direct contact with the camera bump? My previous phone was the htc desire, and it also rested on the camera bump, which, as a result, showed in more noticable tear at the lower part of the camera bump. So will this be the case here too? Is the phone always resting on the camera bump?
Seems like the bump is not going to wear. Don't worry about that

I would just put a case on it and stop worrying.

My S2 has a raised camera too, looks like the same design, after 2 years its gone from black to silver from the wear n tear

Dropped my phone getting out of my SI. It was on my lap. Case on it. Cracked the glass. What do i do? Would google repair it Or lg? Any idea on price? Or Would taking it to a cell phone repair shop be cheaper?
My digitizer and lcd are fine. Just shatterd the glass.
Any good tips/tricks to get me thru till Its fixed?
Still have on the screen protector. Would taking it off makes the digitizer brake?
Any info is helpful.
Pretty bummed it happened. It broke my damaged phone cherry, So to say. Hahaha.

Check the prices. I'd say the local repair shop will be cheap.

Firstly,go to your local repair shop and check the prices yourself.Screen repairs are often expensive,it can cost you 1/2 price of the phone itself.Well... If you can live without this phone, buy a new phone instead

Lg or Google is the best bet.
First of all. The glass is the digitizer. Same part. And the LCD and digitizer are fuzed. You need to replace the entire front panel. That part alone is roughly $130 to $150usd. Lg charges 150 usd. A shop would still need to buy the part.

So if i got one off ebay, could i do it myself? Or Would it be 10/10 hard?

Look on Youtube for an iFixit video/tutorial if it is available yet. Here`s a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPuCmfhzgbg for instance.
I've seen many how-to videos on screen replacement. I would def try to do it myself.

Has the Nexus 5 got 2 speakers? When playing games I usually end up covering the holes. When I cover the left ones it goes really quiet, but the right ones makes no difference.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Hi,
Nope, there's only one speaker so it's normal... And you found on what side it is
Just the one. The other is a mic. I guess technically the earpiece is a speaker as well
