Hello everyone. I have a nexus and I've noticed there is creaking around my flash and I was wondering if you guys have experienced the same. I also can see a noticeable gap between the top Camara lens and the backplate and I was also wondering if its just me or you guys as well

Greetings,
I have a question regarding the protruding camera. When the phone is laying flat on a desk, I assume the desk has direct contact with the camera bump? My previous phone was the htc desire, and it also rested on the camera bump, which, as a result, showed in more noticable tear at the lower part of the camera bump. So will this be the case here too? Is the phone always resting on the camera bump?
Seems like the bump is not going to wear. Don't worry about that

I would just put a case on it and stop worrying.

My S2 has a raised camera too, looks like the same design, after 2 years its gone from black to silver from the wear n tear

I've noticed on my phone that the front camera lens isn't centered in the hole cutout. Anyone else have this? Thinking of rma'ing it for it and a few other issues.

Mine is also off centre I'm sure you and I wont be alone with this issue.
It still works, right?
If so, this seems a bit overly nitpicky. There are people with much worse defects.
Re: nexus 5 back cover popped off
my nexus 5 back cover snapped open when i ran and the whole input stick piece kinda got lodged between the case and the screen part. i had my headset conected and the stick can bend the whole back cover open?? can i return it do you think?

Deleted.
Sorry, why exactly? while in my pocket the back cover popped up with the headphone jack and got lodged between the screen and backcover, i put it back and everything works execpt the jack is a bit wobbly.

I got mine a few days ago and noticed that the jack clicks forward and back from the box. I wouldn't say its wobbly though and if you move it there isn't any change in audio. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Don't return it, Google doesn't cover that. They will charge you again full price. Better to just buy new parts and replace or bring it for repairs at a cell repair shop.

Nexus 5 camera outer lenses is also made by gorilla glass? Or does it scratch resistance?
As you can see the camera area is a bit sticking out and making it the first to contact on any surface you put your nexus down..

two+ months, no protection at all, not a single scratch. and im a phone abuser
Great.. Because there isn't any spec of saying it's scratch resistance..

Hello guys, let me explain my situation. I own the white 32gb nexus 5 since day one.
I dropped my phone yesterday and, as a result, the screen is now broken and there is a huge damage on top, beside the microphone.
I was looking for replacement part and I guessed if I could assemble the black matte frame with my white back cover.
The new phone will be black earpiece, matte black sides and white soft back.
Would you guys suggest me following this path?
I'm used to manipulate electronics, working on this phone doesn't sound like a problem at all for me.
I would like to point out that the Nexus 5 has it's screen glued. This makes replacement difficult.

Yeah, there's actually a guide but my account is to new to post it. Op, check out ifixit. It has a great Nexus 5 teardown tutorial.
goo.gl/vzmOQN maybe this will work?

Would you think that this mod is worth?
I'm quite worried about the result.
Do you think the two parts will match well together?

I'm not exactly qualified to say personally but if you are used to working with electronics, then you can give it a try. After all the screen is broken and most of the other parts are easy enough to fix a far as far as the tear down says. I would personally think that replacing the earpiece would be relatively easy. After all the Nexus 5 has a very high repair ease rating.
