Hi!
I have had my Touch Pro for about 18 months without any issues. I bought it SIM free and then inserted a SIM only SIM from O2.
Last week I moved to a SIM only deal from Vodafone. Now my phone reboots itself intermittently. This occurs during calls and when an incoming call is ringing it. I have never seen this behaviour prior to switching to the Vodafone SIM.
Things I have already tried...
- Getting a replacement SIM from Vodafone. This behaved the same way.
- Factory resetting the phone. This did not fix it.
I believe that I have a healthy phone and a healthy SIM. Any ideas about why they would not play nicely together?
Can it really be that this phone doesn't work on Vodafone? If so I might need to move back to O2, which would be crazy.
Thanks in advance.

update
I have now moved back to O2 and my phone works perfectly again. Obviously, this is very strange!
Can anyone out there explain this?
Regards,
Adam

Actually...i have no creative comments at all. Sorry.
Hi all I am kinda new to this forum, I recently purchased a HTC touch pro 2 second hand, it was used originally on Verizon, it was unlocked and worked just fine until I switched my sims, from Digicel Jamaica, the phone worked fine using my sim for one week then all of a sudden nothing, I can't make or receive any calls or messages or access any of the services associated with any sim. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello everyone!
First time poster over here in the HTC Ox forums!
My fiance has an ATT HTC Ox. She is 100% stock and doenst want to root and play with ROMs.
Over the past week or so she has not been receiving calls or text messages. A reboot fixes it, but that isnt really an acceptable solution. IT happens randomly it seems.
i did a search and saw some people having similar problems, but not any solutions.
Anyone got any ideas/help they could provide?
We're going to go to ATT to get a new SIM tonight. But any help would be greatly appreciated.
I believe it's a problem with the new LTE staying connected. Try turning it off and setting connection to WCDMA preferred.

Before going out fo your way for a new sim card, if you have a phone with the same size of sim card you can just swap the two and see if its a device issue or just the sim card. But when I worked for Rogers the sim card was typically the problem for that kind of problem. That said, I had a similar problem after rooting my O XL that seems to have been corrected by just toggling LTE off for GSM, reboot, retoggle LTE back on, and restart. Dial *#*#4636#*#* under Phone Information set preferred network type.
I've been a happy HTC Desire S user for one year now and never had any issues with the phone... until last week, when the phone started rebooting during phone calls. First it occurred once every 1-2 days, but during the past 48h the number of reboots increased to almost 50% of the calls I make.
I use the phone for internet surfing, playing games, sending emails, watching youtube videos a.o, still the reboots only occur during random phone calls.
Has anyone else run into the same problem? Are there any known fixes?
Here are some technical specs:
HTC Desire S S510e
Android 4.0.4
HTC Sense 3.6
Software number: 14.01.401.2 71RD
Many thanks in advance,
Tim
Yes, I have it. Buy a new battery. And reboot is gone.

Similary a problem
Hi,
I have similary a problem when I insert a SIM card and start, and then I will log on to the Internet via the phone the phone will restarts. If you disable mobile network, which is possible works only after inserting a old SIM without service and after I put a right SIM (which is valid), then the phone do not reboot in the meantime, until someone does not call me in this situation I will hear only one ringtone and the phone reboot it make so long when will not be empty battery, it makes without my help. The same thing happens when call me somewhere. Interestingly is when I have not insufficient credit in my card, in this I can hear this message about low credit and after trying to connect to the phone to reboot. I tried O2(CZ) and mobil.cz SIM's and the result is the same. Discuss please, it is possible that I use some ROM and radios which are not friends that do not communicate or have the same problem had. I hope that is not the only solution the service, then it is better to use it as a PDA without a SIM because the God knows how long to wait for a repair.
thanks

Hi, recently I've been having a problem with my phone (Newman K18), it can't make or receive calls. (When I fist got the phone and SIM they worked fine together, it worked for about a month I think.)
When I try to ring someone it will hang up straight away.
When someone calls me they will just hear a beeping sound.
Texts and mobile data still work fine.
Things I've tried:
- Restarting my phone many times
- Re-inserting the SIM
- Looking through all available settings.
- Factory resetting the phone
- Swapping from SIM slot 2 to SIM slot 1 (dual sim phone)
- Ringing customer support - I called my carrier (Three UK) and they weren't any help
- Asking in a Three store - I learned here that a different Three SIM I tried didn't work either - same problem.
In order to diagnose whether my phone was faulty or the SIM, me and my friend swapped SIM cards.
- With his SIM card in my phone everything worked fine (So my phone is not faulty)
- With my SIM in his phone everything worked fine too (So the SIM is fine)
So I am absolutely lost as for what to do, tried a lot of googling and not found any way to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated; Thanks.
Darwin.
I had just about the exact problem on my Nexus 5. Have you tried calling customer care for your network? My phone profile was deleted by ATT by accident during a plan upgrade. I had to call from a friends phone to figure this out and fix it. Good luck

Hi, thanks for the reply. I did ring them previously and they didn't seem to have ever heard of the problem. What would you suggest I say to them? What exactly is a phone profile?
Thanks.
Have them look into the account and look at your line only. That is your phone profile. Have them trouble shoot your line and check voicemail.

Ok, that wouldn't explain a different three SIM having the same problem though would it? or would it?
Thanks
I am clueless now. You should now probably contact the phone maker itself to see what they say. Sorry man I could help you.
