So, I've had my one for a couple weeks now and I love the build quality. However...I've just noticed something that goes against the good build quality.
The middle right of the screen clicks when I push down on it. It looks to actually bend down in the middle. The clicking is really annoying.
Does anyone else notice their screen being loose in the middle right and left of the screen? Any clicking?
Thanks

Yes actually, oddly enough I do too. Whenever I "wipe" my screen with my thumb (top to bottom motion) I can hear this faint click, which seems to be coming from my top speaker grill. Occasionally when I press on the display directly underneath my speaker grill I also hear this click, though not every time. I really hope this isn't my screen's digitizer/glass peeling away from the phone's frame...

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I'm thinking about taking it back to best buy tomorrow and trying one out from a box. But, if this is an issue for everyone, then I won't bother. I have the extended warranty on my vz plan so defects are covered...but possible refurbishment too.

That seems to be a speaker issue...this is literally a physical indentation when pressing on the certain part of the phone that I'm referring to.
That being said, if you're speakers are making cracking noises, you may get a blown speaker soon. You haven't jacked the volume up with a mod have you?

It really isn't that big of a deal for me now, as I too have an Asurion Extended Warranty for my phone (all manufacturer defects included). If I notice any change in the sound (more frequently/louder) I may bring it in for a quick looksie, but for now I guess I will just leave it alone.
Unfortunately I already used my free Verizon "replacement swap" to get a phone with a flush screen (specifically between the glass above the digitizer and the glass above each speaker grill), so if it truly becomes a problem, I will have to go through Asurion/HTC and risk getting a refurbished unit (which is a whole other can of worms).

You should have thirty days to get another one from the store if you bought it at a big red corporate store. It's 14 days for an exchange for a phone or a return. I know because I worked there. You can return your phone because of a defect and get new in box as many times within that thirty days. Then it goes to mail order for assurion.

I actually had to exchange my M8 today because the radio just gave out. Only data, but no calls or texts. Normally that's an easy apn fix or radio etc. Would not work no matter what I did, and I did everything lol.

Is anyone having a problem with the screen, well the phone, clicking when you touch the corners? Over the past few days it seems like the actual phone and back cover are not connected tightly resulting in a click sound and feel when typing on the keyboard. I have tried to re-seat the back cover with no luck. I am going to try and get an exchange today but the whole design around a uni body phone worries me long term.

check out my 1st and 2nd post in this thread just called T-Mobile and they're overnighting my phone, I love this phone but this is the first phone I had to exchange twice

Bad vibrations... lol
I noticed on mine the vibration is very mild compared to say the MyTouch 4G.

Yhe it clicks a little but nothing serious.
Yup, my one day old sensation also clicks and make that noise when I press on the bottom right of the screen, just like yours. Also, the capacitive buttons are unevenly lit. This is my second unit, and I am very disappointed. I returned the first one because of a wacky battery. Build quality on that one was perfect. I might return this unit also.
Any other folks with the same issue?

Got the same problem.
Tomorrow i am gonna switch back covers and see if it is the issue.
I think when you take the back cover of to many times the right side will show this problem.
Greetz.
Happens to my phone as well only if I press the right point. That sounds come from the battery. Pull the backcover and press on the battery then you'll hear some clicks. But I couldn't figure out how to solve that. Even putting paper didn't help.
On my newly exchanged sensation, I have noticed that the capacitive buttons at the bottom of the phone are not evenly lit up. The home button is slightly brighter than the the menu button. Also the search button is a little brighter than the back button. My first unit that I returned cause of battery issues had perfect , even lighting on all four buttons. Also, on this unit, it makes a creaking noise when I press the screen on three bottom left side. I might return this one also.
Has anyone noticed the same uneven button lighting on their phone?

Ya, I should do it, especially since it also has that lower right screen creak/click thing going on . This whole experience has not been that great. I mean, I love the device but would love to have 1 great unit free of these defects. Then I will truly enjoy this masterpiece!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
I'm not saying it isn't an issue. but of all the issues i've seen so far, if when I get mine this is all it suffers with I'd be happy. Not too sure about the creak tho, that would be a bit off putting. HTC are normally good built quality, so a creak would be annoying.
There have been a fair few faults with this device so far, but it does seem that none of them are affecting all handsets, so hopefully there aren't any major faults going on
I think I see what you mean OP about the uneven backlit keys. For my device its minimal and you can barely notice it. I do however have light leaking from the seam next to the left of the home button. Does anyone else have this?

Same for me, very minimal. I think it's the same for all of us, actually I hadn't noticed it until I read your post and had a careful look at it.
But your creaking noise, if not coming from the back cover not completly locked correctly, so coming from the screen itself, is more worrying, your screen must be badly stuck, like for some people on the forum, so you should take it back
(see if dust is coming under the screen in the creaking area)

I also have the light leaking from the seam near the home button. At first it looked like a glare, but it's obviously a crack where the light is leaking through. It's bothersome to me (my annoyance is increasing) and I think I'm planning on returning (exchanging) the phone. it's concerning to me, because I don't really know where that opening goes, i.e. where will the dust, sweat, lint, etc. migrate to once it inevitably gets inside there. Of course, everything else seems ok for now, so I wonder what other problems I'll get with a new unit.

Hold a vacuum cleaner hose up to wherever you think he got in and maybe it will suck him out?

Maybe the charging port? Either way tablets are not air tight, and the ant got in.

Hello Peeps,
Have any of you noticed that your power button is loose or wiggly?
I just noticed it on mine, my phone is only two weeks old and I just noticed this issue.
I am pretty bummed about it cause I just achieved root on it.
I suppose if I were to try to take it back, they would not exchange it because of it being rooted.
Any thoughts on this?
The power button is working just fine, I just do not like that it is so loose.
I did a google search and I see that some other people have reported the same issue.

Ya I think it is a pretty common problem but as long as it does not fall out then you are fine it's just one of those "build quality" issues that Samsung seems to have on all of their phones... Gotta LOVE plastic...
Yeah its just a poorly designed button to begin with. More of it "hangs out" of the case in the back than in the front, which makes it easy to apply too much pressure to certain areas. I definitely see how snapping it off could be a very easy thing to do, so my best suggestion would be to get a case or something. If you're that worried about losing it, you could always ODIN your phone back to stock and take it back to Verizon.

I took mine in to the verizon store, and the reps said that it was normal. I think it's just designed that way.

Hello everyone,
my Photon Q fell two days ago and since nothing really happened except that the slider mechanism feels more lose than before, I wanted to ask you guys if 1) with your phone it is the same or 2) do you have an idea how to make it "tight" again?
I opened the phone but couldn't really find out what causes this gap on the left side (when the phone is closed and you are looking at the front). Even it's cosmetic (for some ) it bugs me a lot
Thanks
I've got the same issue, but I thought it could be an issue caused by a fall of the Photon Q.

I'm not experienced in hardware repair or mods, but if you can separate the two parts of the phone it looks like it has a single hinge with two rails for the slide mechanism. I don't think those would be damaged based on your pictures but there are also two pieces of metal, one on each side of the display connector. My bet would be that one of those got dented. The two pieces seem to be used as a stopping point for the slide as well as distancing/orienting the display.

At this point I do think it is beyond me and I'm a bit surprised someone more familiar with hardware hasn't stepped in yet. Might be worth a try PMing someone involved in the SIM mod.
The two metal pieces I was thinking of are on the keyboard portion of the phone. On the back of the display portion they create a mild groove the same size as the groove for the rails. One groove is left halfway up the phone and the other between that groove and the top of the phone. When the phone is together the display cable fits perfectly between them.
I'm sorry, all I can really do is speculate. I really don't know enough about this sort of thing. I may be mistaken as to what these parts are.

I think it is pretty impossible to fix a dent in the hinge, right? But would that http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOTOROLA-PH...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item20d0b14dc6 fix my problems?
^ I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. My Q is suffering from the very same problem, though I got over it quite a while ago since it's kind of a 'minor' issue I actually have the same exact part sitting on my desk right now, my listing on eBay to sell it just ended haha. I could test it out for you, if you really would like to know.

Haha, interesting I'm not so sure either, but I'm eager to do it lol. Hence I bought this yesterday night, although I'm not even sure how this hinge is fixed on the phone (glue etc?). I'd sure like to know how u fare, fella!^^

There's no glue, it just slides under these 3 little slots on the left side
