You cannot restore a ROM of a different version of android than the one you are running.

It mean that i should first flash 4.0.3 than restore the stock rom

check this "funbook gizmolord" website... goggle that words and check the website...
The way you're stating things is off, so I'm assuming you mean you created a Nandroid before flashing the new Rom? If so then yes, just wipe data, wipe cache, format and remount system and then re-flash the stock Rom by whatever method your devices uses.
I have a problem restoring backup of my stock rom made with cwm.Restore does not report any errors, but when I reboot my tablet I got bootloop.
Any ideas?I am on CM 9, Cwm 6.0.1.0.

i've check the link that you gave, tried to restore it using the steps there but no luck blank IMEI
the thing that i wanna test is trying to restore it using nandroid backup. that's my last option if that also fails then its a hardware problem.
I hope someone will lend me their nandroid backup.

If efs has been corrupted and baseband is unknown try to flash kpe [all files] and flash the default efs.tar then thats the time u can now use the box,. If it fails maybe a hardware problm of the ph0ne or search on google bout using the box.

Hi people. So before I try to flash a rom I would make a backup of my rom which is Embryo 6.1. I would probably go back to embryo after flashing a new rom like jellybam and when I try to restore it, it gives me an error when restoring the system. It would say error when restoring /system. I would have to restore a backup from an older clockwork mod and reflash embryo. I have tried reflashing clockwork mod but that didn't work. I also tried toggling /preload in misc nandroid settings but it still didn't work. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance

You shouldn't be using outdated recoveries and if it is a recovery issue your should reflash the recovery...

I'm using the latest Clockwork Mod and I did reflash the latest one.
Ask inside the recovery thread ...
could be a bad backup. I've had it happen before with TWRP.
I've tried to backup multiple times. When I restore the backup, it gives me the same error

Make sure the recovery isn't looking for a md5 if you didn't create one in the back up.

TWRP recovery creates a backup of EFS.
If u have a twrp bacup, try restoring EFS from there.

It creates one if the efs is working and functional. If he has corrupted it or somehow erased without a backup, then bad news...
