right now i have razr maxx and i want to change with xt925 'razr hd'
please tell me how much xt925 better than my phone in camera, gameing and etc
thanks for your answer
any answer ?
A quick comparison in gsmarena.Com should do the trick, but if you are going to upgrade might as well get the ultra Maxx, better than RAZR max hd. Just no expandable storage

Ive had both, the xt912 max (cmda version of the xt910) and the xt926M (verizon version of the 925 with maxx battery) Very similar phones I can attest to everything on them but battery life of the regular versions as that is the only difference other then the maxx xt926 getting 32gb of memory.
Both have same storage roughly, the x910 had 16 and 11.8 available, plus sd card slot. the x925 has the same 16 gb and 12gb available and supports sd cards officially to 32gb and unofficial to 64gb
Everyone saying no expandable storage is thinking of the NEW droid ULTRAS are the XT-1080, those are the ones without removable storage,
For those that saythe x925/926 dont have a sd card slot, its next to the sim card tray its just a pain to get to because you have to remove the sim with the included tool that i unfortunately lost.

I'm wondering why my phone, a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, spec'd as having 1GB of RAM, actually has total usable RAM of 822MB (202MB less than 1GB). My Asus Droid tablet (Transformer Infinity TF700T) is also spec'd as having 1GB of RAM and has total usable RAM of 975MB. They are both running ICS. So on my Motorola phone, 80% of the RAM is usable, and on my Asus tablet, 95% of the RAM is usable. What's up with my phone? I need that 202MB - what is using it, and can I get it back?
For comparison, I just looked at my Windows 7 notebook. It has 8GB RAM with 7.89GB usable, or 98.6%.
I suppose some small amount of the RAM is needed for overhead, but typically not much. 80% is really low and really weird, and I'd like to know what's causing this. I've googled but found nothing. Does anyone here know?
I'd assume the 20% is perminantly dedicated to system apps or apps/processes moto/Verizon deem important. Just a guess though.

In this case, yes, you are looking at a lot of RAM being used by the Video Card. But the system processes as well. There are a lot of applications that are running that you have no other option but to run (bloatware and other Verizon bullsh*t). It is a generally recognized problem with the amount of usable RAM, but hopefully when Verizon decides to remove the rest of their stuff, which they vowed to, it will help a bit. If there's something I'm not seeing, I'd love to know, but this is just what I have been able to recognize thus far.
So, from what I checked on the phonearena site, both phones have the same processors and graphic cards though the GS3 has 2GB of RAM vs the 1GB of the RAZR HD.
My question is this, why is it that the GS3 seems to be so much more smooth in it's operation than the RAZR HD even with custom ROM's? What are we missing?

Possibly because TouchWiz is optimized more than Motorola UI/AOSP. The added gig of RAM helps with performance too.

Well, I'm a long time Samsung user going back to Moto and I experienced TouchWiz from GB to JB so I can tell TouchWiz has gone through a huge transformation in that time span.
Hey everybody,
I am considering getting a Moto G, but i was wondering how the internal memory is partitioned, and how much of it is available for apps and cached music on the 16G version. I read somewhere that on the 8G version, the internal memory in split into 4G system memory for the OS, and 4G for user data. But i could not find the memory partitioning and size for the 16G version.
Anyone with a 16G version who can check this out for me?

I have 12.92 gigs of space before user apps etc. I'm still on the 4.3 ROM, haven't received the new 4.4.2 OTA upgrade.

Cool, does that mean that they did not partition the memory on the 16G version?

My Moto G 8Gb is really fast...and perfect except for 2 (common) problems, the most important is the FREE APP Space :
1st - impossible install APP except fro Play Store : NO Amazon app, NO AppOfTheDay free app,..
2nd - 5Gb FREE that with a bit of music (2Gb) , Sygic Navi (600Mb) and something else means only 1 Gb for free space ,,,but the worst info is that,
if i check with DiskUsage it says i have :
APP : 1193 Mb --> when i go to install a new app (only 11 Mb) now it says "i have not enough free space" !! (
SYSTEM DATA : 614 Mb
Really too few space..
Got the same problem.
I have a 8gb and I'm thinking of changing it now for a 16gb.
I don't have any music or big game apps just will have a few average apps and photos. Do you think 8 will be enough?

8 Gb. is enough for me! Like you said, i just have few average apps, i am not the person who's taking a lot of photos and i don't have a lot of music neither, so i'm fine with 8 gb ñ_ñ
I'll might stick with it then.
I'm the sort that downloads a app and if I don't like I delete it. I can't see me having more than 20 + the pre installed apps at any one time. but maybe a good few photos.
For a few big apps , couple of songs and photos 8GB serves well

Not much memory,
The phone is awesome, I bought the 8gb version, I didn't know only like 5gb are available for normal use, I installed two games and that's it, no more available internal memory.
This phone is awesome in all ways, very customizable but not much memory...
Helo everyone! I'm between Nexus 4 and Moto G. BUT, I've been with no smartphone for half a year(sucks really hard). So, I'm thinking of buying a Moto G because the Nexus 4 is more expensive.
The thing is, is the Quad Core A7 cpu better or the same than a Dual Core A9 cpu at the SAME SPEED?(The S2 9100 has a 1,2GHz Dual Core A9)
Thanks guys!
The moto G is faster than the Galaxy S2. It's less powerful than a Nexus 4 because the Nexus 4 has twice the RAM though it comes close in some benchmarks because of the optimized ROM, nand storage filesystem, and CPU. In real world usage though an N4 will be much smoother and faster. Still the Moto G is a fine device. By the way, the Nexus 4 is no longer for sale. Perhaps you mean a Nexus 5? That kind of blows away a Moto G and most other smartphones. Though there is the price factor and the moto G is more than adequate.

Thanks for the reply! I meant Nexus 4. I'm from Greece and I can find it in some stores and also on Amazon and ebay.
How fast is CyanogenMod 11 on Moto G? Is the stock ROM faster than CM11 or at least the same? I like flahing ROMs and kernels(as everyone else ) so I wouldn't want the flashed ROM to be slower than the stock ROM.
I used to have a nexus 4
Other than the price also consider the battery, the moto g battery life is better than the nexus 4 in my opinion and experience. So if you buy the moto g, you save some money and get the must have accesories like the meenova microsd card you can expand you memory and also the flip shell from motorola so that you can wake your phone without using the power button.
I have played MC4 in the moto g and in the nexus 4, in the nexus is used to get very hot the whole phone but the moto g does not do that much or at least not as the nexus did, that game is pretty heavy but no difference with the nexus , about the ram I have not felt any significant difference maybe others but my experience it works very well. However if you are into video and photography then the nexus is much better than the g, so consider that as well.
Hope you get what you are looking for.
bye

I have had the N4, Moto G, and s2 (i9100). I like all of them but I find the s2 too slow for me. If the N4 and Moto G are the same price, I would pick the N4.
Right now, there are no custom ROMs for the Moto G based on CM11 or AOSP.

I ordered the meenova but then read the 'fine print'...Moto G has to be rooted or else only can be used on read-access basis. Am trying to cancel order as have no plans to root the device. Too bad. Many thanks for your recommendation, appreciated

I own 8 GB version, of course you can install any rom you want.
And for me, definitely worth!
Buy it without worries, it's a great phone!

Memory is on "cons" list, but you can live without a SD Card (neither Nexus has it).
If you don't plan to install more than 1-2 heavy games (like asphalt), 8 GB is fine.
Remember that you'll have 50 GB free on google drive.

It'd be ok If it is the only heavy app.
About the game, you should check for a backup setting, you'd better write to game developers or (before) google search it.
I emailed dev of app n he said they dont have a save function
