Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where to put this..
So i was doing a nandroid backup of my HTC One X (endeavoru) and cut and paste the nandroid backup to my computer. Nothing happened when i went to cut and paste from my phone to my computer, so I tried unplugging and replugging in the USB because I assumed it wasn't responding, and then when i opened CWM backup folder to move the nandroid backup, the nandroid zip is gone, but no space has been freed from my phone /:
Is there any way to get that 2.5GB of space back?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
HTC One X (endeavoru) CM 10.2 latest nightly, CWM Recovery 6.0.3.2

So this is phone memory… not sure really, i would suggest backing up, clearing then restoring depending on how much info was on it that is what i would do at least. I dont mind losing data on my phone though

So I am truly confused.
I am trying to install an apk that is 6mb and I keep getting an error that I have insufficient space.
Problem is, 14 regular market apps updated just fine.
And I've 7.5 gigs free space.
I've rebooted into cwm recover, and fixed permissions, cleared the cache, still no fix.
Any ideas?

Yes sir.
The only thing done was a root. Other than this I'm stock.
Meaning I am not running any custom rom.
I have installed Google now... But that's it. That's the only mod flashed and it's been there two days before this problem manifested.

EDIT: Luckypatcher can clear the unused odex thing in app/data.. problem solved
My process has been 100% for me so far, I haven't lost any data.
1: Unmount/eject device from windows/linux
2: Change USB mode on phone from mass storage to charge only
3: Wait 15 seconds
4: Unplug USB cable
Since the first time I plugged it into my pc, I have followed this procedure and haven't had an issue. I hope this helps.
Please post any success or failure, or any other pertinent info so we can nail this down and nobody loses their data again.

I can confirm this works fine.
I've been doing it this way for the last couple of years and it's the best way. No data corruption yet and always an empty LOST directory - good sign.
Pfffft....I just yank the USB cable out. Don't change back to charge only. Don't unmout from PC.
Never lost any data. LOST.dir is empty.

I think that when a file becomes corrupt it is moved there. I had like 3 Gbytes of stuff there...

Lost.dir is where corrupted or damaged files go to die. Usually a result of failing sd card, but in our case a result of not unmounting/ejecting properly. You an try to recover the damaged files, difficult but possible, otherwise you can delete everything in the folder.

Does the Note 12.2 generate enough power to run self powered mass storage devices? or we have to use powered USB Hub ?
My note pro doesn't run any kind of mass storage devices ( I'm not rooted )
One says external power needed and the other one keep ticking .
my Note 3 run them with no problems.
any one with note pro pls test and advice back.

Which USB ptg cable do you have? I have a couple of different ones. I managed to get one of them to let me connect my dive computer and download, but not any of the drives.
I have one that converts the USB 3.0 micro B to a standard USB. It seems to be pretty good. It is a solid piece instead of a cable, but it doesn't work with anything, including my dive computer.

Did you try to use Mass storage before rooting? as one of the posters mentioned that root will give extra permission to fire mass storage with out external power? he said root and instal stick mount / folder mount and enjoy.
I'm afraid to root before making sure that it is not a hardware problem as service center in our area don't know Even that we can mount mass storage device.

I agree root is a must but once root warranty will void so i need to make sure that device is free off hardware problems (which I'm not sure).
Started having an issue with dirty unicorns so I went to wipe in recovery and I tried installing a new rom and it failed. Next time I tried wipe it says unable to mount /system. Tried mounting sdcard0 and same issue, unable to mount /sdcard0. Haven't hooked up to PC yet at work all day. Any ideas? Will upload logs after work. Any help would be great using backup phone that's half busted. Thanks!!!

Hi, (see attached picture) I know that even though my nexus is a 16gb model there is actually only 13gb available....but what I do not understand is why do I only have 500mb free when apps and pictures and other things only take up 5gb in total. So 12gb - 5gb is 7gb..... So where has my 7gb gone when my phone is only stating 500mb?
