Started having an issue with dirty unicorns so I went to wipe in recovery and I tried installing a new rom and it failed. Next time I tried wipe it says unable to mount /system. Tried mounting sdcard0 and same issue, unable to mount /sdcard0. Haven't hooked up to PC yet at work all day. Any ideas? Will upload logs after work. Any help would be great using backup phone that's half busted. Thanks!!!

You might have to Odin flash the stock firmware. Sdcard0 is the internal sdcard. It might be hardware failure. I'd flash the stock firmware and see if you still have the problem

So I recently rooted my device via Odin and attempted to flash Zeus ROM 6 through cwm. There was an error with the flash as the ROM did not load properly. I reset my phone in the cwm menu so my phone got a fresh factory reset. However, my hspa+ will not activate, although I do get a signal. What should I do?? I have tried another factory reset and turning airplane mode on and off. Still no luck
My infuse is running 2.3.6 if that even makes a difference.

Doing a factory reset in recovery is not the same as puttin your phone back to stock...your still running Zeus...
Just use heimdall or Odin and go back to stock
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
But the thing is, my phone isn't running the Zeus ROM. It's still 2.3.6 with 2.6.35.7 kernel.
I look at my mobile network type and it says it's UMTS versus the hsdpa(or something like that)that it was using earlier. It also reads my mobile network state as disconnected but is still in service (just cant use data based applications such as Facebook)
Should I still try to unroot my phone??
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Doc, It is not uncommon for the mobile state to say disconnected. I am on my sgs3 at the moment, it says mine is disconnected, yet all is well.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
There is a misunderstanding... my network state says my device is disconnected. I am not able to access any app that requires data use such as the play store, Facebook, reddit etc.... All say there is no internet connection and simply won't run.

If you didn't mod the system files then the original owner did. To resolve, flash stock factory 4.4.2 images. If you did a factory reset when you got the phone, and don't want to start over, flash the img files one at a time with fastboot (excluding userdata.img).
If you don't know how to do that, check out the stickies (I think in general). There is a very detailed thread there.

you can take the ota update through wi-fi only...
no need to reset. but i prefer to do it to prevent any system app from crashing and to have a fresh firmware.
All you had to do was connect to wifi. That update required you to do that. "Via wifi only".

So, from what she says (hopefully will be getting the device later tonight to look at it) it goes to the "reboot screen" which is the droid screen I'm guessing and just sits there or something. She didn't really tell me much, but that's all I could get out of her at the time. Will hopefully have the device to see what it is really doing later.

No it was not rooted. And it charges when it wants to. I have tried 6 different chargers and the same thing. (Can't be hardware it is almost brand new) stays at the first logo when powered on, if it decides to charge, and I can boot into recovery by holding power and volume down if it decides to charge.

It depends on what amount of reading you want to do.....at the very least you can warranty the phone.

The phone is recognizing there is a sim in because I flashed a custom ROM and whenever I put in a sim from T-Mobile,att, etc., there APN settings come up. I have no idea what's going on. Assuming the reprovision didn't work and you can confirm its not the SIM card damaged.. You could always flash a different radio in recovery or return to stock 4.4.4 via factory image to verify its not the software it'll also flash the latest stock radio.

Install Philz Touch. Wipe all partitions and flash vomer's stock 4.4.4 rom via recovery. This should be enough in most cases to rule out a software issue. But I agree, fastboot cleaning has solved my problems which recovery wipes couldn't!
