I am having a problem with Bluetooth audio skipping. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a solution?

Skipping? No, but I have a whole bunch of other problems.
Not playing out through bluetooth after skipping a track.
Randomly shutting bluetooth off
Odds are whenever we get 4.2/4.3 it'll be a lot better since they've made big changes to the bluetooth stack these past couple iterations.

I have the same issue where my BT audio skips :\ Haven't found a fix for it yet
i also have this issue with the droid mini. running 4.4. the skipping seems to stop when the screen is on though.
I've seen the issue where Bluetooth makes Wi-Fi speed plummet. So Pandora would skip over Bluetooth but not over a wired headset. Fixed it by switching to a 5Ghz wireless network. Apparently this is common with Bluetooth and 2.4 Ghz networks

Makes sense, because Bluetooth *is* a 2.4 GHz network.
I notice audio skipping with both BT and wired connections when my phone disconnect and reconnects to WiFi (like, when I am driving home and come up the driveway, audio will stutter.) This happens when I come home from a run, too, while listening to audio on regular earbuds. I hadn't thought to try to restrict 5 GHz, though. Since it happens wired, too, it shouldn't make a difference, but I'll see what happens...
I have the same issue with Bluetooth cutting in and out bad with my Bluetooth LG headset if the Wi-Fi is on. In my case at home I use the 5ghz side of my router for the phones and every thing else uses the 2.4 range. But driving down the street the audio in a phone conversation with go bad either I can't hear them our they can't hear me clear, as if your going through a tunnel. Been going on for awhile since the 12.15.15 update. First thought it was my headset so got a newer model and it did it so got that one replaced just be sure same result.
For now I just turn off the WiFi when not at home wish there was a way to make it so I didn't have to. Maybe the new radio 110 that is rumored to come with 4.4.2 will fix the issue.

I didn't mention it, but in the process of troubleshooting my issue, i did learn that Bluetooth is a 2.4ghz connection.
Anyway, i didn't need to restrict to 5ghz (neither on the phone nor router side), all I did was just connect to the 5ghz network instead of the 2.4ghz one.

Yeah, my router has a single SSID for both networks so I'll need to try restricting it on the phone.

I'm having some problems with using my Nexus together with my Netgear WNDR3700. Some googeling shows that there are more persons with problem, but i can't seem to find any solution.
Wifi is working, but poorly. Especially connecting to the wifi takes alot of time.
After "waking" the phone from sleep (or activating wifi), it takes up to a minute for it to get a connection. Both with my laptops and my iphone (3g), this just takes a few seconds.
I'm using WPA/WPA2 PSK as encryption and I have tried different channels and so on. The signal strength is good.
Anyone with suggestions?
A little bit bump, but I would really need some help.
I can see that the phone finds the network, and gets an IP, but I dont have any data connection. Any way to pin it down further?
Is your router set up as dhcp or static ip?
If it is static, did you assign ip to your phone

My router use dhcp, and it works just fine for both computers and my girlfriends iphone.
have you flashed dd-wrt on router by any chance? it looks like there are certain revisions of this router that have bad radio antennas, and that can get worse with a dd-wrt firmware.
I have the same router but have no major issues with it, but my range is pretty near altogether

You have a 3700 hw version 1 or 2, up to date firmware, ssid broadcast on or off? The netgear forum is a pretty good resource http://forum1.netgear.com/forumdisplay.php?f=105.
Is your nexus s stock, have you tried one of the other radios available on XDA: KB1, KB2, KB3, KD1, is wifi set to never sleep in the wireless advanced options?
With 2.3.4, radio KD1, my ns takes around 5 seconds or so for the wifi to activate and log in to the router with the router set to WPA2-PSK [AES].
I have a hw v1 3700 with 1.0.7.98 firmware and it is rock solid, at any one time there are a wired pc, wireless pc, squeezebox radio, galaxy tab, nexus one and nexus s connected and I have never seen the signal drop on any of the devices, it's the only router I've ever owned for over a year at this point.

I have v1, newest firmware and broadcasting ssid. I dont have wifi to never sleep, it takes to much battery.
I havent tried to change radio in my NS, but maybe I should...
I was always suspect of this, but now I have confirmation. Last night I was streaming some live video to my phone in high quality (twitch app, watching starcraft 2). I also have a little bluetooth speaker that I was using. So it turns out, that the video would lag when the bluetooth speaker was connected, but not when the sound was just coming out of the phone speakers (bluetooth antennae still kept on). I tried this back and fourth 4 times, to make sure that it wasn't just a coincidence, and it wasn't.
So now this makes me think, when I'm using a Mogo Pro controller through bluetooth, does this make the multiplayer gaming lag? I have to wonder, because I play Modern Combat 4 multiplayer, and get lag spikes often. I always assumed it was just the ****ty servers, since they drop matches all the time.
NOTE: I have done a search, and only found a couple threads of people complaining about the same thing, but not getting any constructive help. I want to know if this is a defect, a design flaw of the One X, or a design flaw of bluetooth/wifi.
Makes sense. Bluetooth uses 2.4ghz frequency hopping spread spectrum, WiFi uses 2.4ghz wideband transmission... Every so often the Bluetooth signal will overlap with the wirless channel causing interference. If you wanted you could buy a 5ghz wireless router to eliminate the problem.

Oh, interesting. That makes sense. I actually have a dual band N router, is there a way for me to force my HOX to connect with 5ghz only?
EDIT: I am mistaken. I don't have a dual band router. I was looking forward to at least pinning down the problem.

In case you do get a new router, yes you can force 5gHz only. It's under the Wi-Fi advanced menu.

So this must be inherent with the phone. I can't be alone in this right? The Wi-Fi loses connection due to Bluetooth being on at the same time. At least I've never witnessed any issues with bt off, and I've had this phone now over a year. Maybe it's not so specific to this phone? Well I don't remember it ever happening like this with previous phones. works most of the time but not enough. I have some Wi-Fi reconnect widget I use but it's still annoying obviously. Anyone have a solution?

My G5 haven't had issues with WiFi and Bluetooth being on together. Try WiFi connection that is 5.0 GHz instead of 2.4GHz. Once I had tried 3 HTC 10 phones and when I was connecting to 2.4GHz network then the phone had issues with internet when Bluetooth was on. Once I did some troubleshooting, I was able to solve the issue by connecting to my other band which was 5.0 GHz and that one never gave me any issues.
Ah thanks. That's probably it. But I don't have a better modem to test with. Ill keep that in mind though if I decide to upgrade
If you're still watching this thread, and are still having problems, install the Wifi Analytics Tool and see which channel is the farthest from any other signals (neighbors), then connect to the router (or modem/router if that's what you have) and change the channel to that one. The stronger wifi signal may get through even with Bluetooth making noise.
I've been having quite a bit of WiFi issues where my connection seems to die, then drop, then have difficulty reconnecting. After a few minutes, it'll finally reconnect.
For some reason, it has less issue with my guest Wifi.
I'm using the latest Verizon Fios routers and range extenders. Other devices in the house, like laptops and other phones, seem to work fine.
I'm also getting garbling in phone calls. It seems to do this a lot. It's quite annoying, especially in BT. BT streaming works just fine though.
My OP7 Pro didn't have any of these issues.
I'm running a TMo OP9 with the latest Europe image. I had the problem on the global as well. I am rooted with some Magisk modules loaded, but disabling those didn't change anything. Neither did resetting the network settings.
Anyone have ideas?
Thanks!
I can confirm im having issues but not on wifi. Im having issues with mobile data speed. BT calls as well when im in the car.
On my Chinese LE 2110 i do not have any connection problems. It's the opposite, super stable an and fast, using a lot of Bluetooth and wifi.

In our Odyssey minivan, BT will drop midcall, then try to reconnect. In the meantime, the call switches back to my phone then eventually back to the BT. It's confusing for a minute.
It's caused the head unit to reboot a couple times as well.
Streaming music over BT though? Flawless.

Exactly my issues. On my kia seltos it happens exactly like that. Midcall back and forth.

Sounds like a bug. Hopefully they fix it. It doesn't seem to have the issue in my Civic, but it's a little newer.
I'm thinking the wifi issue may be my rabge extender. Seems to work better when I'm downstairs closer to the router.
Hi, I got NC2 earbuds, when I make Whatsapp video calls the communication is cut, it appears the message "poor connection" and the Wifi on the phone is taken down, and sometimes also in the whole house. I have to reset the router to restore the Wifi. The Internet speed is around 90 Mbps.
The earbuds are paired to my phone with SBC. I suspect there is something related to Android 11, because I tried this scenario in another phone with Android 8 and all was good. My phone is Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with Android 11. Any idea guys?
Thats really strange does it happens when using the earbuds in other apps?
How far away are you from the router when this happens?
Does it happens with other phones?
I mean other phones with android 10+ os version
This is quite strange. I'm about 2 or 3 meters away from the router, I start a Whatsapp video-call by using these earbuds and everybody loses Wifi at home and I have to reset the router. I can't figure out until now how this can be possible.
Taking a Wild guess I would assume that the frequency is causing an interference with your router.
Heres more information.
