Hello,
A few months back my Samsung Galaxy S advance's screen broke, It would still boot but I couldn't see anything.
Now I have an Xperia Z but I wan't to sell the S advance. Someone wants to buy it for 50 euros and I thought it would be a good deal because a new screen is like 80 euros and the phone was already 6 months old. So if I would repair it and sell it for 120 euros I would make 50 euros profit, Basically the same.
So before I'll send the phone I want to reset the phone COMPLETELY. I don't want the person buying the phone to get acces to my Facebook and e-mail and stuff. As I said the screen doesn't work, No touch either.
So how do I do this?
Thanks in advance!

hey guys.. just asking if you think the best buy product replacement plan is worth it when buying a new phone.. apparently if anything goes wrong.. u can just get a replacement? and there is no limit?? something is bound to go wrong in 3 years and i figure by then theere would be wayy better phones that cost around the same as the phone im buying now.. so lets say something goes wrong every year i would get a new phone every year.. just being cautious i gues.. ive never had a phone last me over like a year and a half.. and would hate to pay full price for the phone at that time since im signing a 3 year term..
any one? is it worth it?

They can be worth it for phons that are worth a lot but you have to read the fine print because most of the time what kills cell phones like dropping them and watter is not covered but the this. You don't want to pay 50% of the price of the phone ether. They can be usefull. My brand new Samsung Galaxy S is now dead and I have Bell and Bestbuy arguing who will replace it. I've had it for 29 Days. Best buy will only trade them befor 14 days but bell stated they have to take back DOA SGS's up to 60 days for a trade. If I would have had this plan, I would have my phone back allready.
I dropped my Sprint Galaxy Note 2 the other day. I deactivated it on the account about 30 days ago and have been planning on reactivating it so that I can get the insurance this time (they ask you over the phone if you want it every time you activate a phone). I kinda like the idea of that since this is the second phone I've cracked. But I read that you would still have to pay a 100 dollar deductible. Last time i was in a sprint store with a damaged phone they said to just reactivate it, wait 30 days and put in a claim and i would get a free replacement. Any ideas? If i do have to pay the deductible the a 150 dollar replacement screen will be cheaper in the end.
Hi all
i just broke the screen of my OPO and the digitizer is screwed , needless to say i was devastated , utterly and completely devastated
but my father is willing to help in my endeavor to restore my phone
the repairs are around 230 USD while a brand new OPO is 350 USD so should i get a new one? or fix my old OPO,i really love my OPO though ...so which should i go for?
@tohno
If you are willing to try a little DIY, it'll cost you under $100.

The screen of my dear Nexus 5 broke yesterday from a 3 ft. fall. I never thought that the phone will not be able to sustain such a drop as this never happened with any of my earlier phones. The cost of replacement from LG service center is around 8000 INR which i think is a bit too steep for me considering that i have used the phone for around 1 year
This is a plea to anyone out there with a bricked phone / phone in not working condition but working display / faulty motherboard if possible to donate / sell me their phone so that i can use the display on my phone
You'll probably have to look elsewhere if you're asking to buy parts, it's against the rules on XDA since we have Swappa.
A quick Google search is probably the best way to find a replacement screen.
Or only buy the glass and repair it cheaper
Lol...
Hello, so my situation is I just dropped my OPO two days ago and the screen is cracked and phone unusable (I am using my Galaxy SII skyrocket as a backup but it's pretty slow/can't handle much even even with Liquid smooth running on it). My OPO turns on and all but touch screen doesn't work. Anyways with the OnePlus Two supposedly coming out soon do you think I should wait and just buy that phone or should I pay to get my screen fixed or send it into insurance for a replacement and pay the $100 dollar deductible and they would send me a comparable replacement in this case she said the HTC One M8 and then I send them my phone after I receive the device from them. I don't know what the quality is of Asurion insurance replacement phones, I just assume that they were other peoples devices that were sent in and then "fixed up" by someone there. Also I looked here around town and the one place quoted me at $189 for the repair and that they don't stock the parts for the phone and so there a special order and it would take a few days for parts to arrive., I also checked at another place but they haven't responded back to me yet. So any ideas on what my best option is
1: Send it into Asurion pay $100 deductible and receive a One M8 or possbily Galaxy S5 if I ask for that one and they have one in stock (quality of there devices?)
2: pay a local repair shop to fix the screen (only quote as of this post was for $189) Edit I was also just quoted 135+Tax by another shop and again special order parts so it could take anywhere from a couple of days to a week or so for parts to arrive
3: Keep the device and just buy/wait for the OnePlus two and then sell this one for like 125-175 bucks on Swappa's Boneyard (Right now I see a 16GB model with cracked screen for sale at $150 on there and mines the 64 GB model but would need to figure out how to wipe the device 100% then if I do as the screen is unusable)
