Hello,
Can any one help me with the stock rom for htc one x (Evita) CID_HTC_J15?
Regards
get into the bootloader in fastboot mode, type in cmd fastboot getvar mainver or fastboot getvar all(and look for main version), lets say for example its 2.40.415.1 , you go to http://www.androidruu.com/index.php?developer=Evita and search for 2.40.415.1.

No it cant.
2.40.415.1 is for a different device, aka an Evita_UL device, aka the same as our Evita's.
There is no proof via Google that public availability of 2.40.415.1 Evita devices ever happened. It is likely just a RUU leaked from testing rounds in The Gulf which never accepted Evita_UL as a device for sale. 2.40.415.1 has no OTA updates as it likely was never on devices for sale.
I believe Evita_UL in The Gulf stopped in testing rounds and later the Evita_UTL device was released instead.
All signs point to Evita_UTL is not compatible with Evita_UL software.
Many RUU's of ROM's that do not exist on publicly available devices exist. These are leaked from carrier testing rounds.
There is no known RUU for Evita_UTL 1.01.401.03
Edit: I mean no disrespect over Saudi Arabia vs Oman. The correct region for the phone is "HTC GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)", eg anywhere in the Gulf. I only said Saudi Arabia as so far nearly everyone has been from that 1 country.

I think you need a highly skilled mobile phone hacker/cracker (which in some cases might be HTC/Qualcomm/Google staff etc)
Eg the type of people that have figured out the Evita_UL device and leaked RUU's.
XDA being English language means very very few people on these forums have the same device as you as it appears to only be sold in The Gulf.
Perhaps some of the Arabic forums have more information about the device.
Right now it appears you guys are stuck because there has been no interest in the region from people capable of doing the required groundwork.

Thanks a lot for info and trying to help on this .. I really don't know whats wrong with this version why no RUU publicly available I wrote to HTC customer support before asking them if this device is GCC version and software is original from htc and they confirmed back to me "YES"!
Even HTC support not able to solve 4G network issue, device should work with 4G 1800 & 2600 but it has been tested by different people its only work and support 2600 frequency ... and when we tried to work around and fix 4g issues by loading custom roms wil get stuck and no way to go back because no RUU?!

What kind of Sensation do you have? You could always change your CID to super CID and then install a RUU from any region.

More important question though is what led up to this problem? What exactly were you trying to do? Or did do? What are you trying to ultimately achieve? The more in depth detailed response you give back then easier will it be for someone to properly help you with your current set back.
Hi all. Im currently rooted and using viperXL but I wish to achieve super CID so thay I can S-off , I have tried many methods and one click root methods to try get SCID I 'get [-] error' and it then reboots to bootloader. And tells me my cid is ORANG001, all and any help would be appreciated as I've had countless attempts.

Hex edit your CID. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212737&highlight=hex+edit+cid
You need to have root obviously.
I'm not sure we should be telling noobs who can't even find their software version to hexedit. One typo or error when hexediting that partition will hardbrick you. I remember people doing it back when we first got the unlock exploit and there was no other way to do it. A couple of people accidentally left out digits when trying to do it and promptly killed their phones.

I'm specific about checking filesize before and after, if they follow directions, they should not brick, it's not my fault if they can't read. But, I do agree with you, that's why I'm so attitudish sometimes, I've said ti before and I'll say it a million times over. ROOTING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Too many people think of it as just a way to make their phones look cool. They don't understand the risk of having root access to a device that stores tons of personal information.

Exactly. Takes patientce. It isn't easy like a one click jail breaking tool. Many people asked me to root their phone and they had different phones, carriers, and versions. After explaining the risk, they agreed. I am very good at directions and have a 100% success rate. If anything happens it is because of them

Hello,
Upon many google searches I have come to believe that this phone has updated above 4.0.4.
I have complications updating so I came here with the following questions:
Did the at&t HTC one x finally get jellybean, or is that for other models?
if yes how can I update because I see get an error on the at&t software update tool, and I don't see anything in the "about" tab for updating like in other models.
Thanks
Edit: I forgot to mention I'm stock and unrooted.

According to the bootloader text, the phone was previously bootloader unlocked, and then relocked. Its probably also SuperCID, since this is the only way to unlock the bootloader on the AT&T version. Phone is also S-on.
Be aware that installing the AT&T Jellybean RUU with SuperCID + S-on will brick the phone. Advise you either change the phone back to the AT&T CID, or achieve S-off prior to running RUU or OTA or you will brick.

Yes that's correct. But doesnt the bootloader need to be unlocked to write the cid? I'd suggest unlocking the bootloader, flashing a stockish sense Rom, achieve s-off. Then run 3.18 ruu to prep for the cm install.

Interesting, so the bootloader was unlocked at some point in time, but then relocked and the CID changed back. If the phone was purchased second-hand, the seller did better due diligence than most would.

I know you are all set with the RUU.
But don't know why folks make it so hard for themselves, when just about everything you will ever need for this device is in my Index thread, sticky at the top of Development:

Interesting, so the bootloader was unlocked at some point in time, but then relocked and the CID changed back. If the phone was purchased second-hand, the seller did better due diligence than most would.

The thing is people don't like to read and learn. It's always easier to beg for help. No offense to the op.
Also the stickies should be on top of every forum page. Then theres no excuse to not see them.

I read that HTC one MID can be changed, also on this forum.
My question is, did anyone here with HTC one sv tried to change their MID(Model ID)?
This will allow us to use the available RUU posted here for our device.

Yes you can change it. Its rather easy to do. However, in regards to the RUU, given the specifications of our K2 variants it is recommended to use the proper RUU. Its not as diverse as seen with the HTC One devices. Though, may be useful in partial to the K2_U and K2_UL devices. However, with K2_CL and K2_PLC_CL, you will want to use them as designed with reference to Boost and Cricket or else you may have issue's.

Yes, thats what I am thinking also. Just the mid and cid, you cant crossfirmware from k2_u to k2_ul or k2_ul to k2_cl or any regarding to k2 versions. I just noticed in my current firmware(k2_ul htc asia wwe cid__044) it can be installed on two different mid. I cant remember what are those since i am currently away from my pc but i am sure that there two..
The mid specified in the ruu of k2_ul europe and the other one mid of my firmware is identical. So it might be using the same hardware i think. Same K2_ul and mid. And so this question comes to my mind.
Anyways. Ill try it some other time when there is already a kitkat update for our device via ota.
Some info for you: asian k2ul contains a different radio.img than european (and maybe more?), so i don't know if its a good idea to do that!

Don't know what it stands for, but it is not specially country related. There are also k2u in asia.
K2u is non-lte, k2ul is lte.
