I haven't been able to root this as of yet, but once I get that I'll get a complete ROM dump, if it helps the hboot version is 1.01.0000.
were you able to root your device? I would like to have a clean ROM dump as well. I'm going to try to port this on Desire S. could you share it please?

More important question though is what led up to this problem? What exactly were you trying to do? Or did do? What are you trying to ultimately achieve? The more in depth detailed response you give back then easier will it be for someone to properly help you with your current set back.

Hi guys i have a sensation XE that has been running ARHD for about three months. A couple of my apps wont download from the market as it says not compatible with our device however they worked before i rooted and changed roms.
Now the ICS official update has been released by HTC i was hoping to return to stock And carry out the official htc ics update to see if that solves the problem with the aps If any knows how i do this please get in touch? i know i need an ruu but cant find one that works.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Those are test RUU not final release 3.32.401.5 (Sensation) and 3.32.401.105 (Sensation XE).
In order to get official OTA need to revert to stock GB rom with stock recovery and original CID. S-Off or S-On doesn't matter.
For the OP: if you are on a custom ICS rom and attempt to run a GB RUU will give you error.
You need to download the right RUU and extract rom.zip out of it. Rename rom.zip to PG58IMG.zip and flash it from bootloader.
If unbranded european, it should be RUU_Pyramid_LE_HTC_Europe_1.72.401.1

instead of going back to stock, why don't you go for the latest ARHD? Or even better the Viper with sense 4.
Both roms will offer you a better experience than stock.
Don't flash the RRU if you want to lose your S-off.

now you became clearly.you should have tell us in first place that your are still in 1.18 hboot version
check this one
http://d-h.st/BOR
but first check your fw version .it requires 1.17
also you are lucky because in your hboot version you can easily do S-OFF with revolutionary.io method
it doesn't require wire trick
Yes, listen to the good advice - make an easy S-OFF first! :good:
Find an Android Forum in your own country and search there for a theme on "S-OFF HBOOT-1.18" and read in you own language. It is pretty easy! Trust me, you are quite lucky to have HBOOT-1.18 in these days. This is the easyest way to unlock your phone.:good:

GREAT SHARE By the poster! HATS OFF
1. CHANGE THE CID OF THE DEVICE TO HTC__Y13 (the attached file includes the valid CIDs for this UPDATE)
2. FLASH STOCK RECOVERY, RELOCK THE BOOTLOADER
3. Those on 2.21, again flash RUU 2.21 and check the OTA Update (you will definitely get it!)
Those on 1.78, again flash RUU 1.78 and check the OTA UPDATE

Hello,
Upon many google searches I have come to believe that this phone has updated above 4.0.4.
I have complications updating so I came here with the following questions:
Did the at&t HTC one x finally get jellybean, or is that for other models?
if yes how can I update because I see get an error on the at&t software update tool, and I don't see anything in the "about" tab for updating like in other models.
Thanks
Edit: I forgot to mention I'm stock and unrooted.

According to the bootloader text, the phone was previously bootloader unlocked, and then relocked. Its probably also SuperCID, since this is the only way to unlock the bootloader on the AT&T version. Phone is also S-on.
Be aware that installing the AT&T Jellybean RUU with SuperCID + S-on will brick the phone. Advise you either change the phone back to the AT&T CID, or achieve S-off prior to running RUU or OTA or you will brick.

Yes that's correct. But doesnt the bootloader need to be unlocked to write the cid? I'd suggest unlocking the bootloader, flashing a stockish sense Rom, achieve s-off. Then run 3.18 ruu to prep for the cm install.

I checked my CID and it is CWS__001.
I don't know if that's necessary.

If it's cws_001 go ahead and run ruu. Make sure u have a good charge on phone before you start. And good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Interesting, so the bootloader was unlocked at some point in time, but then relocked and the CID changed back. If the phone was purchased second-hand, the seller did better due diligence than most would.

I know you are all set with the RUU.
But don't know why folks make it so hard for themselves, when just about everything you will ever need for this device is in my Index thread, sticky at the top of Development:

The thing is people don't like to read and learn. It's always easier to beg for help. No offense to the op.
Also the stickies should be on top of every forum page. Then theres no excuse to not see them.

Facepalm is the only method. You need to use the manual hex edit method to change to SuperCID if not on the AT&T version.
I don't know this method (manual hex edit)
This method have a certain thread in this forum???
Please explain me this....

Just added this to my Index thread. No idea why I didn't think to put this on there earlier, as this question is frequently asked:

I try this method (hex edit ) but my cid (build number ) not changed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Build numbers is not the same as CID. Build number just refers to the Android version (such as 4.0.1).
You are rooted? How are you checking CID?
The proper way would be the command (as noted in the guide): fastboot oem readcid
my cid is htc__j15 and I try hex edit but not changed

I asked how you are checking CID, and whether you are rooted, and you did not properly answer those questions.
We can't help if you don't respond properly to questions.
I unlock bootloader
I rooted my phone with supersu (flash supersu from cwm)
Is your hboot 2.15?

You still haven't answered how you're checking your CID. If you want help from people here you need to answer the questions they ask you.

You've been asked the same question 3 times now by 2 different people: How exactly are you checking CID?
We can't help you, if you don't answer our questions.

I believe 2.10 has the same write protection that 2.14 has. Most likely he is required to use jet tool to downgrade firmware/hboot version first but there's no way to know if that risky procedure will work with an Arabic version..

My cid is HTC__j15
I check this by fastboot getvar cud & fastboot OEM readcid
In bootloader mod.
But my version of hboot is 2.10
My device is rooted (by flashing supersu.zip in cwm ) and my device is unlocked......................

CID is write protected on hboot 2.14? I didn't know that. I knew it was on 2.15.
He has the Arabic version so it's the 2.10 hboot, but yeah I've never heard of write protection on the 2.14 hboot.
