Hi,
Having dismantled my HTC One X in order to replace a broken screen I discovered a broken connector. Does anyone know what it does and how it may be repaired? I've attached a couple of images showing the broken connector. It looks like it and the one next to it both connect to a single gold pad on the back plate when the phone is assembled.
Note: This is a European version. Looks slightly different to the AT&T version
Many Thanks
Roy
So this is the One X or the One XL?

This is the HTC One X
Ok, well this is the forum for the One XL. You'd be better off asking in the forum for your device, while they seem very similar they are actually different devices.

This seems to be a topic of interest in the One X forum pertaining to hardware quality problems. HT23, HT24, etc.
HT24
You think the batches realeased today will be different then those that got them a week early?

Maybe but likely not, depends on when HTC started producing the XL. Since the X was sold first, XL serial versions here might have some corollary with issues experienced by One X owners.

HT24 as well

There's no relationship between build date (or Taiwan vs. China) and random QC issues for the international One X. There are perfect HT23's and sucky HT24's. And gray vs. white doesn't matter either because the guts of the phone are all the same and are mated to the shell during the last step in assembly. Keep in mind the majority of issues with the international version are related to Teg3 graphics which you guys don't need to worry about. The biggest pure QC issue is the way the guts and display are set in the shell where there are occasionally gaps or parts of the screen that aren't flush with the body. The cool vs. warm display applies but that’s not really an issue; more a choice by HTC to source from two different vendors.
I just bought a HTC One XL here in Singapore. For the most part, it seems to be similar, or the same as the Telstra version. I need to know if ROMs developed for the AT&T One X are compatible with my One XL. While I know most of the hardware is the same, Snapdragon S4, my version has 32GB of storage while the AT&T version has 16GB. Thanks!
No work, different hardware. Try the One "X" threads.

YES the One XL is the same as the AT&T One X.
As far as compatibility is concerned as long as you don't change your radio you should be fine flashing ROMS from here, just don't flash any RUU's

Thanks! I will read deeper into it. Seems to me like HTC hacking is a little different from Samsung hacking. Still a bit bewildering right now.

Samsung is definitely easier to mod. No doubt.
Once you get the bootloader unlocked and a recovery flashed though it's pretty similar.
Happy reading!
I guess i was wrong, sorry

So i did it! My at&t HOX got shattered screen last night :crying:
Even though my screen's cracked, touch response of the phone is completely good!
Can anyone please suggest me,
1.whether it is possible to replace only digitizer or do i need to replace the whole set(LCD+Digitizer)?
2.As International HTC One XL and AT&T HOX have same hardware pieces,Is it good to replace my HOX screen with International HTC One XL? or do I need to replace with at&t screen's only?
3.If so,can anyone please give me the links to buy OEM LCD+Digitizer?
Thanks in advance.

I've heard its hard to replace by yourself IMO sending to HTC would be my choice but if you want to go be adventerous our one xl is .4 mm taller than intl one x but idk about the other one xl... There's another thread about this somewhere
BUMP TO TOP: Can anyone please give me the links to buy original at&t htc one x lcd+digitizer?

Other threads on this topic mention that the screen on the international One X is different in size by millimeters from ours, and results in an incorrect fit (gap near the capacitive buttons).
Also, if I recall properly the screen and digitizers are glued together, and therefore nearly impossible (or at least a real b1tch) to separate.
Bump: for a great guy who gives me an external link to buy att hox screen(original)
they are all over ebay but no one knows if they are original or fake..

Looks like the same one from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228219 which only fits the International (Tegra) One X

It's not the same case, but I still don't think it would work. If it doesn't mention the One XL, you should assume that it is for the international One X. It won't fit, because the pogo pins won't line up. I think the international One X is a good millimeter shorter too.

From the looks of the case it uses ABS this is very fitted and will not work with models it is not designed for. I am not saying it will not fit but It may not fit well.
Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, so I hope I'm posting this at the right place.
I have a problem with my HOX, like many others (for as far as I've read) I got a problem with a blackscreen/weird resolution etc.
When i plug my phone onto my charger/PC it somehow works without the slightest problem.
Now I'm no hardware expert on this but I guess there something wrong with either the motherboard or the battery, maybe just a simple connection between the both.
I've contacted HTC and they turned down my request because there is a crack in my screen, making the warranty invalid. So I can't send it for repair (I can, for about 300+ euros....). I'm considering to disassemble the whole device and replacing some parts.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this problem OR if you got any tips on testing hardware for artifacts/replacing motherboard in a HOX??
Kind regards,
Stijn
Firstly, do you have the HTC One X (Endeavoru) or the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita)? You're currently in the Evita forum so if you have the Endeavoru you need to ask in the HTC One X forum.
