I just bought a HTC One XL here in Singapore. For the most part, it seems to be similar, or the same as the Telstra version. I need to know if ROMs developed for the AT&T One X are compatible with my One XL. While I know most of the hardware is the same, Snapdragon S4, my version has 32GB of storage while the AT&T version has 16GB. Thanks!
No work, different hardware. Try the One "X" threads.

YES the One XL is the same as the AT&T One X.
As far as compatibility is concerned as long as you don't change your radio you should be fine flashing ROMS from here, just don't flash any RUU's

Thanks! I will read deeper into it. Seems to me like HTC hacking is a little different from Samsung hacking. Still a bit bewildering right now.

Samsung is definitely easier to mod. No doubt.
Once you get the bootloader unlocked and a recovery flashed though it's pretty similar.
Happy reading!

im about to buy a phone, im between the tmob one s and the att one x. i can get the one s in 320 dls without contract on craigslist and the att in 380 out of contract...
also a guy is selling the international version of the one x (in black) for $400 but i dont know which of those 3 phones get
what would you recommend me guys, im open to any opinion i would like to know some opinions about:
- which screen is better? 1s or 1X? is there much difference in the look of the resolution?
- its the storage important? (i dont play many games; just music and pictures)
- which one have better battery life?
- which one is faster?
- what other things should i consider?
thanks
i got the One S and i love it.
Size is PERFECT for me.
pentile/rgb i dont notice much loss from the X
camera is DOPE
u gotta go to the store and have a feel for yourself.

One X is better with resolution, and has a better screen. (IPS compared to SAMOLED+)

One S (International and t-mo) and ATT One X have the same CPU, and are faster than the International One X. Go for either One S or ATT One X if you want faster performance. DO NOT go for International One X.

4G! I got 21Mbps down on 4G with t-mobile. International versions won't support 4G.
Also, One X won't support t-mobile 4G and One S wont support ATT 4G LTE. So your carrier is important.
Size! I had a GS2 and its 4.52" screen was just too awkward to hold. The One X is 4.7"! The One S is 4.3" and I think it hits the sweet spot between size and screen. If only it had a 720p display like the One X (and an IPS screen) then it would be perfect.

Yeah i have seen in the reviews that the 1x has the best screwn so far, but in the reviews on YouTube i see that the 1s screen looks pretty good (black is black) and the color are vibrant, but what i want to know is if the screen its that much better or if there is no much difference? Also, is important to have a case with the one s? Or it doesnt need it? And what about the one x? And a screen protector?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
The One S is actually faster than the One X, mainly because it doesn't have as many pixels to push as compared to the One X. qHD compared to 720p, I honestly can't tell a huge difference between my One S and my cousins Evo 4g lte which is 720p.
I HIGHLY recommend a screen protector, I got a scratch on my screen last week. I have absolutely no idea how, It's never been close to sharp objects. A case isn't really needed if you don't plan on dropping it, seeing as it's entire casing is anodized aluminum, It won't be easy to damage that badly.

I thought it was gorilla Glass 2, but it sure scratched easy enough. I wasn't going to put a screen protector on it, but now I have to to hide this scratch.
I'm not sure about the development, both phones haven't been out for too long.
Our development is pretty good, although I came from the Amaze which has very minimal.
The One S has not too much development, but just the right amount to keep you flashing if you want to.

AFAIK The T-mobile One S is pentaband when unlocked as T-mobile is reframing using the ATT 1900 band. Which means it won't get ATT LTE but should support their hspa+

Hey Everyone!
I couldn't fund any better place than to share it here, please point me out to another section if this isn't the right one. I was reading gadget news when i came across this news about the Leaked Images of the Black HTC One mini. I myself haven't still got my hands onto the HTC One so i thought maybe i should ask in this forum that how has your experience with the HTC One been? Do you like it? How many of you want a smaller HTC One like the HTC One Mini? Thanks for all your help. Looking forward to a constructive discussion.
Update 18/7/13: Just in case you guys missed it, HTC One mini has been officially launched by HTC
The One is a great phone. The only advantage of a smaller one could be better battery life? Not sure what battery is going into the mini?

That looks a better idea to me, having it recessed.
Noticed that it also has the flash on top of the lens, is that a new placement?
My One has the flash to the side of the lens. Might be because mine is the silver model or because it's the UK model?

Ah you're right, that is different as well.
I wish the camera was recessed in the One. I would use a skin on the back and go caseless if it was like that.

I just got my One yesterday and I was initially unsure whether I would like the size. After having hands-on time with it I actually really like the size. I'm coming from an original HTC EVO 4G and what I find amazing is that even though the One is larger it feels like it weighs slightly less. The only real dislike I have is the placement of the power button... kind of wish it was on one of the sides as it takes some finger stretching to get to when holding in one hand.
BTW, I should mention that my wife also got an iPhone 5 yesterday as well and the One just totally puts it to shame IMO. Somehow the screen on the iPhone 5 seems smaller than my old HTC EVO 4G and it definitely doesn't "pop" as much to the eye as the One. I was honestly kind of surprised in the disparity. And for the record I own a Mac Mini, iPad, and MacBook Pro so it's not like I'm anti-Apple or anything, but when it comes to phones I think Android, in particular the One, just eat the iPhone for lunch.

Lol what makes you say that? HTC One Mini if it is just a smaller HTC One has the potential to be just as successful. That size market is quite large and I imagine would appeal to a lot of people.
My only concern is if they changed the Mini to a plastic body. Hopefully they keep the metal unibody.

My sister loves the one except she thinks it is too big. Her husband has a one so she has played with it for a while. She was thrilled when I told her a mini was coming out. She is also coming from an iPhone 4s so that could be apart of the size issue.
So the mini has its place but just not for me.

Phone won't be useless, I want to upgrade my old Desire and this is probably what I'm looking for! I like design, I like it being small (although it's not too "mini", better than big brother). Rumoured specs are fine (especially for Desire owner, I won't play demanding 3D games anyway and it has smaller resolution than One to compensate). Hope to see the price soon.
Hi,
Having dismantled my HTC One X in order to replace a broken screen I discovered a broken connector. Does anyone know what it does and how it may be repaired? I've attached a couple of images showing the broken connector. It looks like it and the one next to it both connect to a single gold pad on the back plate when the phone is assembled.
Note: This is a European version. Looks slightly different to the AT&T version
Many Thanks
Roy

Ok, well this is the forum for the One XL. You'd be better off asking in the forum for your device, while they seem very similar they are actually different devices.

I'm looking for an Android phone with a good camera and it seems HTC One X fits my budget ($250). I read that HTC One camera develops purple fringes. Is that true for One X too? Please advise if it's still worthy buying HTC One X or if you have other suggestions please let me know.
Are you wanting the HTC One X or the HTC One XL / at&t One X? You're asking in the HTC One XL / at&t One X forum. The camera on this phone is fine, I've never had a problem with it.

It's going to be mostly AT&T HTC One X. That's what I find being sold in Ebay. That said I was assuming that there should not be much difference between the AT&T version and the other versions of One X. I could be wrong.
They look similar but they're entirely different on the inside. But you're in the right place for the at&t version. In my opinion it's the better phone; far superior development if you're looking to unlock/root it, the Qualcomm chip doesn't heat up nearly as much as the chip in the international One X, and if course it's LTE too.
Sent from my Evita
That said, it's an older phone (as phone development cycles go) that's not getting the newest Android, so... you know, as long as you're OK with that.
Just to be clear, it may not be getting the latest Android via an official update but I'm currently running 4.4.2 thanks to our developers. Just saying it won't get the latest version might be a bit misleading.

No. I hate this phone. The battery lasts too damn long and the 4G is too fast.

I'm sure you can find Moto X's around 250 on Craigslist or eBay? There is that Monday Sale (300$) coming up as well.
Outside of that, One X is an okay choice. It would be better if you wait though. We're probably only 2 months from HTC introducing their next phone and that could probably drive HTC One prices to 250.
