You could've looked in the dev section and known that the answer is a resounding "no"
We have no unlocked bootloader, which means no custom roms just yet
There actually are some custom roms available in the Dev section, however I don't think that support for miui or cyanogenmod or aokp will come until the bootloader is unlocked.

Those aren't really "roms". They're batch scripts that modify the stock rom. I mean, call them what you like, but to me they're not fully baked custom roms.
Thanks Guys for the info.
just this morning we have a post of unlocked bootloader.

Hope this works and brings good customs roms for all happy HOX owners.

Yeah everyone's been all over that since yesterday around 3pm EST. Now we just have to wait patiently for roms to be developed/ported.
Now that we have an unlocked bootloader and working recovery, has anyone successfully ported any of the roms from the international htc one x (tegra 3)? Feel free to post which rom you used and how it worked out for you.
DO NOT TRY AND FLASH THE BOOT.IMG FROM THE INTERNATIONAL HTC ONE X ROM. MAY RESULT IN SOFTBRICK
wrong section buddy
Yeah and I know no one is gonna read the general q&a. Besides we are all wanting immediate rom goodness
What? You can't flash a international rom. r u drunk

People read Q&A all the time. This is no reason to ignore the rules and clog up Development with random questions.

So now i have an unlocked bootloader and i have CWM installed. If i were to use a RUU, the clean rom DE, would it remove CWM and put the stock one back on? Or would it leave CWM intact?

When you start calling people names, you are the one that appears immature and childish, no matter how correct you may be.
The problem is, though, you are not correct. Maybe it only appears as a "simple" mistake to you, probably because you don't care or haven't spent enough time in the forums, but for people who frequent XDA then it has become a cumulative nuisance.
Also, when the majority of users responding in the thread you started is either questioning the logic of your statement or placement of the thread then maybe you need to reflect on what you were trying to accomplish and maybe take into consideration how you can achieve better results in the future. Long story short, try to learn from your mistakes.
Okay, so, International One x won't be compatible because of hardware differences, but what about the One S roms? I just tried flashing the CM9 port for the S, and it flashed successfully but upon reboot the screen was just filled with green graphical glitches. Rebooting back into recovery and attempting to restore my backup of the stock system didn't work at all, so RUU for me... but, why wouldn't a One S ROM work? It has 99% of the same hardware... besides the qHD screen. I remember being able to flash a Droid 3 ROM to my bootloader-locked Atrix 2 and it booting up just fine. What's different here?

LTE radio for one. Probably some other minor differences too.
Can anyone help? I have downloaded a new update to the HTC One S which is the new Sense 4.1 and the jelly bean update. Now I tried to install but
kept rebooting me into bootloader. I tried to Root my phone once and managed to unlock my bootloader but wasnt able to install a working recovery on my phone so I just relocked the bootloader. So What Im looking to do is either to find someone to help me root my phone by helping unlock my relocked bootloader and help me to fully root my phone and to install a new rom or to help me install the new update on my One S.
My Device is an S3 chipset. I think ofcourse, as my Cpu runs to up to 1.7 mhz... Can anyone help me do one or the other?

OK the OP made a mistake, but really some of the responses are just out of order. Its only a moderators job to resolve forum issues, so i ask all just to report and move on, it will be sorted.
So you are the first person on planet earth to recieve the jellybean ota? Lucky u

My advice for you is to go at a MobileServiceCenter and for aprox 15 euro you can get this job done. Also, for sure you don't have Jelly Bean, but just the last version of 4.0.4. ICS with 4.1 Sense for S3 One S.
Currently I use stock JB with a few tweaks like freezing apps... Nothing fancy. My phone feels snappy, fast and reliable. Are there perceivable benefits in those respective areas to be gained by unlocking bootloader and flashing developments that have surfaced since this capability?

For me its worth it if you root and install a custom rom. Unlocking the bootloader alone will not affect your phones performance unless you flash a recovery and a rom. But you can get so much more customization as well as performance boosts with any of the roms here. Ill never go back to a stock system.

Yeah its absolutely worth it. Great devs and the community is growing.

Even the beta developing that is going on makes it worth it. 4.2.x is a much better android and several people are working to make it work for us. unlocking gives you the ability to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Do it. If nothing else, you have true control over your device, with it to me.

I guess I'd say CM10.1 or AOKP which are posted in this forum, since most of the other roms are flavors of those, and trying those gave me an understanding of where the other roms are coming from. There are a number of nice CM10.1/AOKP variants available, like the Xenon one posted here, Carbon, Axiom (aka Codex), Pac Man, and Baked posted over at droid-hive. Pac Man is interesting because it also incorporates features from Paranoid Android. There isn't a working vanilla Paranoid Android port for this phone yet as far as I know.

Motorola has made the unlocking very "visible"
I'm already unlocked and running epinter's CM10.1 ROM (Android 4.2.2). I unlock and run CM primarily for wireless tethering.
Note that if you do unlock the bootloader, you will always be shown a Motorola designed splash screen at boot - the splash screen is visible for 3/4 seconds and informs anyone using the phone that the bootloader is unlocked and that the warranty is void. This is what you'll see - http://www.droid-life.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/razr-hd-bootloader-unlocked.jpg
I've had 2 Motorolas before this - the original Droid and the Atrix. If you unlocked the Droid, there was no telltale sign. On the Atrix, you briefly saw the word "Unlocked" in the upper left corner of the screen at boot. But on the RAZR HD, you get the elaborately designed screen.

I personally am on the AOKP posted in this forum. It has been very stable and the dev updates frequently and is quite active. He recently built an OC kernel in that took my device to 1.9ghz and as low as 192mhz. All around good ROM if you can live without camcorder.

I've been reading about the CM 10.2 nightlies on the xt926 and want to give it a try. I'm no stranger to flashing custom ROMs as I have 10.2 on my nook tablet and used to rock Eclipse on my dx2. I'm a bit disappointed and apprehensive that I can't flash a custom recovery. My question is: Am I wasting my time attempting this? Will I be beating my head against a wall until I finally nandroid back to where I was or will it work? I don't want to go through SafeStrap if I don't have to as I want to go full on 10.2. Any help is greatly appreciated

Yes, unfortunately. I read up on it some more after seeing last reply and realized that I had screwed myself out of it. I am currently on 9.18.79. I thought I had read somewhere that you could force it through the stock recovery but that sounded really sketchy so I consulted you guys first.
